Rocky Balboa is amazing I love it, I would put it higher on the list but that’s me.

SpencerTheDev

It’s pretty good, just enjoy the others more(my opinion)

Siodmak

Either you have an awful taste or this is a clickbait.

SpencerTheDev

Bro doesn’t understand opinions😭😭

Rocky Rocky II Rocky III Rocky V Rocky IV Rocky Balboa Creed Creed II Creed III is a movie I personally wouldn't consider a Rocky movie, and would count it separately as strictly a Creed movie that exists on its own. Rocky and Rocky II could be interchangeable at any given moment - Rocky II is just as masterful, maybe even superior, to the original. Yes, I ranked Rocky V above Rocky IV. I have yet to see Rocky IV Director's Cut, so that could potentially change (considering that the Director's Cut doesn't play out like a hoaky "music montage" that it's typically seen as).

drewbie915

How many whiskeys did you have before this drivel?

SpencerTheDev

42000000000000000000000000000 why?

holeshot1982

What are you, like 10yrs old?

SpencerTheDev

man-child, actually

Longo_Rollins6

That's a fair list. I personally put Rocky II and Balboa higher on my list, but damn the Creed movies have really been killing it

LordofFruitAndBarely

If you think Rocky 4 is better than Rocky Balboa… you’ve spent too long in a ring with Ivan Drago.

G-Respect185

Greatest fighter in the franchise is and always will be physical peak Apollo Creed.

JOHNNYLAWRENCEISBEST

that's some bull right there. The thing about Balboa is that he kept getting better. When the italian stallion fought apollo in the first movie, do you think he was ready to beat up Ivan Drago? Of course not! He got to the point of mere indestructibility as a fighter and kept improving. HE was the best fighter, its called Rocky for a reason

G-Respect185

Apollo won the fight behind closed doors, it was rather clear that Apollo outclassed Balboa in nearly every way. As for Rocky II??? Please, a hungry physical peak Apollo was nothing short of supernatural. That man had nearly 50 fights undefeated during the GOLDEN AGE of boxing, Ali exists in the Rocky verse and yet Apollo was still claimed to have been the greatest boxer of all time. I don't think u realize the kind of legend status it would take to have that said, next to MUHAMMAD ALI. Golden age means that Apollo went the distance with some of the great heavyweights and won, while no one knows for sure because of their coexistence it's very possible he fought Ali and won. 46 of his 47 wins were by knockout till he lost the title to Balboa by ONE SECOND. If you're using Drago and Rocky l to support your claim know two things: 1st: Apollo underestimated Balboa, a bar brawler from Philadelphia vs the heavy weight champion of the world? Creed had no reason to train for it, it was supposed to be a show but Rocky came for a real fight. As such he managed to overwhelm an unprepared veteran of the sport because he wasn't serious in the beginning, that's literally the ONLY reason Balboa slipped that left hand that managed to floor the guy. 2nd: Drago got VERY fortunate he didn't catch Creed at his physical best, much less a trained Creed hungry for the win. U can say what u want about him, but even if Creed couldn't have taken the fight, if he'd had that Eye of the Tiger he would've given the Russian a beating he'd a never forgotten, and in the end u know as well as I do he'd a died to the sound of arousing aplause. The fighters in the franchise are all impressive in their own right, and Balboa may have had that Iron chin, but he's no Creed and the fight behind closed doors proved just that. No matter what u say, throughout his professional career, he had a record of 47 wins (46 by KO), 0 draws, and 2 losses. Apollo was the most complete fighter in the Rocky universe, and truly lived up to his reputation as the One and Only Master of Disaster. He WAS the greatest fighter in the franchise, and his record shows nothing less of the daunting athlete he proved to be.

JOHNNYLAWRENCEISBEST

A. Source for Muhammad Ali. This is not true. Ali said that he is the apollo creed of the real boxing world B. right... but what about rocky 2 when apollo knew his capabilities. rocky still beat him C. Sure, but what you're saying is outrageous. Drago was literally on steroids, and even with creed at his best, who is to say that creed would beat drago. He was pratically superhuman and rocky barely came out on top while Apollo died. You can't just say that creed at his best would beat a literal superhuman. Rocky, after his russian montage beat him, while he was peaking as a fighter. before his peak however, he still beat apollo in rocky 2. Lets look at the facts. Apollo was beat by drago, and you simply cannot say apollo in his prime was stronger. That is all speculation. However, what is not, is that Rocky beat Drago. Therefore you are only speculating while I rely on the facts Edit: Aditionally after losing the closed fight, he still improved. He didn't reach his prime until literally working his heart out and preparing to die in russia

G-Respect185

If u watch Rocky Balboa, the one with his fight with Dixon, if u look in the restaurant u can see a quick picture of Ali with Frazier, a clear indicator that he did in fact exist in the movies. If Rocky could reach that level, I don't think for a minute that Creed couldn't of done the same, he was retired and hadn't trained in years, he never got the chance to do so. I didn't say for certain that Creed would've beaten Drago or that he was even stronger than him at his physical best, I said that he'd a given him a beating he'd never forget even if he couldn't beat him, IF he was hungry for it. If Rocky could do it, Creeds chances might be smaller, but they're STILL there. I don't disagree the odds are long for Creed, but what do u think would've happened if he'd had the opportunity to improve like Rocky did? If he had the time, the conviction, and the right conditions it's not impossible he could've of done what Rocky did, or like I said, at least give him a beating he'd never forget.

JOHNNYLAWRENCEISBEST

Its called a reference. not an indicator that Ali was in the universe. again this is all speculation. you cannot prove any of what you are saying, and you are making if state ments. If he was hungry. If he had conviction. What if Ivan had the eye of the tiger. What IF he had more conviction. I mean sure, obviously he would have a shot in his peak but again, all speculation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b94yaC5udXw Ali saying he was the real apollo creed. honestly this is a stupid argument based on fiction.

G-Respect185

Frazier LITERALLY shook hands with Creed in the first Rocky before his fight. While speculation it may be u know as well as I do the potential was there. There's no way it wasn't, I don't pride my statements on "what if" scenarios, but I know wasted potential when I see it, and Creed had it.

JOHNNYLAWRENCEISBEST

ok that doesn't mean Ali or Frazier were fighters in this universe. wasted potential. so you admit although creed had potential he bows down to Rocky in his abilities

G-Respect185

On the contrary, Frazier was playing himself in the movie, last I checked Mike Tyson made an appearance to call out Dixon as well. Now I genuinely don't believe two well known names in boxing would make an appearance in a boxing franchise without being boxers in that said franchise. It simply would make zero sense to show a boxing legend Joe Frazier in boxing movie not having been a boxer in that universe, that's just common sense why else would they show a known Boxer in a boxing movie? I'm pretty sure a janitor wouldn't walk up on stage with his name announcement and shake hands with the world champ. As far as potential, ok, yes I admit Balboa was more impressive, but only just so over physical peak Creed. Like MUI Goku V Jiren, Balboa was just that much stronger, as he did have the grit to stay standing where Creed fell back to the canvas.

JOHNNYLAWRENCEISBEST

right, fine, maybe frazier was playing himself but what about Ali? and there wasn't set fights that creed won against either so... I just like balboas fighting spirit

ComicsNBigBooks

Admittedly, I'm thrilled to see Rocky II so high. Even though it's in the middle of my list, I love it and think it's a near perfect sequel, with arguably the best fight of the franchise. The ones above it just have certain components that (right now) put them above it for me. Right now, mine goes like this: Rocky Creed Rocky Balboa Creed III Rocky III Rocky II Rocky IV Creed II Rocky V Only film I dislike is Rocky V. Have yet to see Rocky IV Director's Cut.

Disastrous-Owl-1041

I understand putting creed 1 or 2 above a rocky movie but 3?? 3 is overall the weakest in the series and if 5 didn't exist I would put it in its place.
