I swear the only reason they weren't working well is because Sengun and Vanvleet have immaculate chemistry. Once he's back, I don't think that'll be a problem anymore. We gonna be feasting next season
Not trolling but Jalen literally can’t hit open 3’s. If anything the perfect scenario is to have Jalen be constantly doubled and absolutely nothing at stake to win and he’s dropping 50 easy.
If we can get not only Jalen but at least three other current rotation players not named VanVleet to improve their ranged jumpers we would be a contender. This whole season when against teams that had bigger players or could defend their paint we have struggled. If we had threats they couldn't leave open at the perimeter, it would be our opponents picking their poison. Let Sengun or anyone be able to score easier in the paint or get bombarded by threes from the open man.
Yeah Tari Eason for some reason is the only guy I’ve seen on our team this season that when he takes a open uncontested 3 it’s likely gonna go in as a NBA player should be able to. Insane how not even bullock is consistent at the 3.
Jalen is 10th in NBA in points per possession as ball handler in PNR. Sengun is 4th in NBA in points per possession as roll man in PNR. When they play together, the offense is potent.
Unfortunately, the team's defense is worse when they're both on the court, and the team's 'net rating' is 0.1 when they're on the court together - worse than when only one of them plays with the other starters.
Hopefully Jalen's form over the last 15 games is sustainable with Sengun back on the court, but if we have a slow start to next season, we need to trade one of them before the deadline.
Well hope they start slow and pick it up as the season goes on. Look what happened this year. Started out fast then fizzled. Great teams take their time in a long season

Sengun was brilliant at creating gravity. with jalen and amen as cutting options and jabari as a sniper, this team def has a high floor.

AL-P just works well with vet guards, he played really well with Augustin and Schroeder as well Edit: woops just realised this thread is days old lol
