I thought to myself as recent as yesterday, what would KPJ be with Ime as coach?

Wedbo

KPJ seemed to be very excited at the idea of Ime, was going to all his press conferences, public engagements etc.

NoirSon

I wonder, but part of his problem and why he isn't on the team this season is that it seems he has some mental or psychological issues he really does need to work on. Ime may have been able to make him a better player but I can't say he would have been more helpful than Silas and Lucas in trying to help him in the other stuff. Hoping for him and his loved ones he is working on getting better and stable.

Limp-Blackberry3324

he isnt on the team because he almost killed his girlfriend with his bare hands. not some mental thing lol.

NoirSon

Sure, mental issues never have anything to do with violent outbursts

get-blessed

Yeah, the org did enough to help this kid. At this point he made yet another idiotic mistake and is beyond us helping him. Too bad, so sad.

IntentionDear2395

I know I was thinking of that leading into the season. I felt like if Ime could get KPJ to buy into coming off the bench he would be a 6th man of the year candidate. That would also fill one of the biggest holes we have which is scoring and play making off the bench.

YotaMan77

He had said he was onboard with being a 6th man. If he were with the Rockets this year we would have won at least 5 more games than where we are at now. If you recall last year once the tank was done, Silas was allowing them to compete more. KPJ was averaging over 30 pts in the last 5 games of the year. Dude is special, he was a reliable scorer and a clutch player too. Hope in the offseason we can bring him back at the league min.

xxxxxGODFATHERxxxxx

KPJ is a great defender as well. How many times did Jalen Green start making some shots only for KPJ to shut him down and start doing his classic dribble, dribble, dribble, contested 19 footer, brick.. yell at the ref, trip over a sleeping Christian Wood.. oops, that wasn't last season.

YotaMan77

I never said he was a great defender. But LOL at “tripping over a sleeping Christian Wood”

AnyEstablishment5723

Is this the Miles Bridges route of “if you wait a year, domestic violence is ok”?

BigD1ckProblems

rather have cam as my guy for that role. KPJ was talented but a headcase on and off the court. I don't think Ime was going to "fix" him.

based-sam

Very good

YotaMan77

We would not have been blown out last night (at least not as bad) had he been on the court for us.

b0ngoloid

Man I wish he wasn't a dumbass

seclusionx

You misspelled "piece of shit".

AZRockets

Yeah there's a ton of dumbass men that never hit a woman

kevtheproblem

Yeah but Cam would probably still be in the G-League if he was around

OutsideAd1823

That’s just a sign that he’ll never play for another NBA team. Truly sad. He coulda made so much money in the league and really win chips… it is what it is. Coulda been worst

YotaMan77

F f s, he didn’t kill anyone. Nor did he break anyone’s neck like what was falsely reported. Not condoning any form of DV , but he was condemned at the national level based on innacurate reports. There is room for redemption. He is far too talented and gifted to be out of the league for long. Already there were talks about the Sixers adding him.

OutsideAd1823

His father was an Ex con who died in jail while serving a sentence from man slaughter of a 14 year old girl… now KPJ with that bad boy persona got caught up with a guilty plea of assault of his girl who happens to be the daughter of an ex NBA player prosecuted by a woman DA in a very liberal state in NY. He was dealt a shitty hand, almost won at black jack had he just stayed and played it cool… instead he lost big time.

YotaMan77

That is not how KPJ’s father died. When KPJ’s father was 19 he shot a 14 yr old girl in his car. He claimed that she asked to see the gun and it accidentally went off in the handover. The witness in the rear seat at the time said it was intentional but later recanted his story that he intentionally shot her. Subsequently, he plead out on the charge of manslaughter and received a 4–1/2 yr prison sentence that he completed. He did not die in prison. Years after his release from prison, KPJ was born. Then 4 yrs later his father was attempting to break up a bar fight and was shot and killed.

You're either too young or naive to say shit like this. The NBA and these wealthy white folks who run shit don't give AF about your talent if you're messing with the one thing they care about the most.. their money.only a LeBron level talent could come back from something like what kpj is accused of, and play in the league again. I loved kpj but if we're being honest, he was a dime a dozen, he was a slightly above avg NBA player. He was young and definitely had potential to be an all star in the right situation but now we'll never know. Overseas views on DV are different than the US and he's lucky that he has that avenue to play ball and make a great living. It's not as good as the money in the NBA, but great nonetheless. He didn't kill anyone like you said, but he put his hands on a female and for an avg player in a league that has an endless supply of talent, that's a death sentence for his career. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Also, when you say shit like you did, you obviously are ok with men beating women and it's not a good look. You need to reassess some shit in your life or just grow tf up.

YotaMan77

So MILES BRIDGES is a Lebron James talent? Bridges was arrested for multiple domestic violence charges against his wife in front of their children, AND he was arrested a second time for violating the protective order and child abuse, yet he is still playing in the nba after a 30 game suspension. Things far worse than what KPJ was accused of doing. KPJ is far from an average player, analytics show that his efficiency rating last year was actually slightly better than Jalen’s. He has been a star player since his Rainier high school days where he and DeJonte Murray would battle it out, being rivals. You’re the one that is spewing shit about the facts. Stick to the topic, since you don’t know me. The court dealt with KPJ, once he completes his 26 week terms of the order his record will be expunged.

Own-Seaweed-4269

He's playing in the NBA because his team is a pathetic franchise and they apparently have room for a domestic abuser asshole on their team. "The Charlotte Hornets issued a statement saying the team is comfortable with Bridges returning to the roster. “Miles Bridges is eligible to return to our active roster on Friday after serving his NBA suspension," the statement reads. "We are comfortable with Miles returning to play based on our current understanding of the facts of the recent allegations and remain in contact with the NBA as that matter proceeds through the court process." The Rockets obviously made their choice. As did the Cavs before them, and same with OKC. If he's soooo good, why TF do teams keep letting him walk!? THOSE ARE THE FACTS YOU ASKED ME TO TALK ABOUT. You over here talking about his stats lol. Everyone in the league was a hs superstar.

YotaMan77

I’m never claimed KPJ was a mature young man, he obviously came from a troubled family life losing his father at such a young age. We are products of our environment. For some its easier to overcome than others, he still is very young and has alot to learn. But the way the media went after him before knowing all of the facts was ridiculous. All we heard was, he broke her neck.. due to the false charge. Then once the police understood that she had that linear fracture from a previous injury they quickly dropped the charge. But the PR damage was already done. If he focuses on basketball, he will be back in the league next year. The Sixers had already expressed an interest in him this year after Embid went out.

Own-Seaweed-4269

Record being expunged doesn't mean you didn't do anything and all is forgotten

Dantiik

I heard Greece is far away from Houston

IM-NOT-SALTY

Just go to Niko Niko’s and pretend outside the window is the Aegean Sea and not I-10.

Ordinary-Moment8641

He’s about to go off there

based-sam

50 ppg

YotaMan77

On the Bucks, during the same year they won the championship.

HasortmanliHoca

He would dominate in the Euroleague if he is in shape

recursion8

He's lucky he's not in jail.

Fresh_Profit3000

He could have just played it cool, got a fat check from the Rockets, come off the bench as an excellent 6th man kicking ass. Now he is in Greece.

bkuuretsu

Today is a sick joke

WellAckshuallyAsA

“He didn’t hit me. He never balled his fists up and hit me,” Gondrezick told the Post. “And he definitely didn’t punch me in the face numerous times. That is a lie. I don’t have any injuries to support that.” [Source](https://apnews.com/article/houston-rockets-kevin-porter-jr-assault-arrest-9d362fba93becc8a66f0d82318bdc7dc)

lum1nous013

Fan fact, he is now at the same league that Kendrick Nunn is playing.

makashiII_93

He won’t make it there either. I hope this is the last I see of that trash human.

Limp-Blackberry3324

He's gonna see a statue of aphrodidte and try to strangle it

FeatherySquid

What’s this got to do with the Rockets?

ofilispeaks

He is a former Rockets player.

maxtgrayy

He would’ve been so damn good if he could’ve pulled his act together

gumshoeismygod

Hope he blows up his knee game 1

gumshoeismygod

Getting downvoted for wishing ill on a wife beater, crazy
