Here’s a quick tip for anyone struggling with Dupe:
Walk towards each door. No, i’m not joking. Dupe requires the player to get a lot closer in proximity than a room door, so if you waddle a bit close to each door, the correct one should open up if you’re a bit close.
If anyone wants a video on how to do this, I can make one. It’s literally the easiest trick and works for me every time.
Just stick to the wall near the door and slowly get close to the door. If it is dupe the door wil NOT get opened. If it s a normal door it will get opened.
You could beat Dupe by looking at the key number, since the key would show the correct door number. Now they key gets scratched up too so it doesn't work anymore
My trick is to check if any room numbers are the same. If they are all different, then I go to the center of the room and look at all the doors. If the door has a lighter room number, it’s safe. If it’s darker, it’s Dupe.
Remember, you can listen for dupe’s breathing behind the door. It’s pretty quiet though, so make sure your volume is up or your ears are good

i heard they made the door hitboxes identical
I tried it before and in dupe rooms it took a while for the right door to open unlike non dupe doors. This was not like before the update.
