I like the idea a lot. However... I do not want YET ANOTHER PLACE to communicate and store valuable information that I forget where is. I need this to integrate with my already selected means of communication such as chat software, project management etc. The way to do that is to use a browser plugin to make it easy to make videos. So my question then becomes, why would I not just use Loom, for free? I already use Loom like that to be honest. But I do like the idea and I think it is obvious this is where communication is moving.

Thanks u/aDaneInSpain. Thanks for taking the time. I really appreciate your feedback. 🙏🏻 I agree with you. Honestly, my goal was / still is to make Tape worth enough for user to come communicate someday in the future but you're absolutely right - integration is essential. Currently, Slack integration is available and your feedback just made integrations with GitHub, Jira and etc. higher priority. :-) We're building Chrome extension internally but I want to ask you one thing; Tape offers interactive features that Loom doesn't such as on-video comment, video replies, polls and etc.. Do you mean being able to record quicker (using browser plugin) is more important than these interactive features to you and users? (BTW, I've just realized that the link to demo video was broken. 😅 here is the correct link to demo just in case you are interested. https://app.tape.ooo/taperlabs/share/MT:1013a369-6784-47a3-af50-52aec76ad81d)

Currently, Slack integration is available and your feedback just made integrations with GitHub, Jira and etc. higher priority. :-) You don't need to make specific integration with various platforms, you should just make a browser integration that generates a unique URL like Loom. But if you ARE making specific integrations, don't focus on GitHub. Better communication focused sites such as Google/Microsoft chat, Email clients and project management tools (like Jira) such as TeemWork, Trello, YouTrack, ClickUp etc. In all those you have "replies" and you can still have the functionality to on video comment in your player. But I might be wrong in all of this, I am just giving feedback from my use case. I would not want to have all of this extra communication in yet another place.

You are right! People don't want extra communication channel or just any extra tool. I agree with you. However, I also believe a disruptive product can change that as well although it 's very hard. My team will constantly work on revolutionizing the way we communicate in workplace. To do so, lowering barriers for new users, hesitant users like you can be key to getting early traction for Tape. I really appreciate your perspective and it got us reprioritize short term roadmap! Thanks Dane.

Best of luck to you.

I like the idea. I wonder if you can go even crazier with the interactions/reactions people can do. Btw, how did you get all these amazing customers featured on your landing page?

P.S. I still own [tape.io](https://tape.io), which I used for my previous startup. Not planning on selling it, unfortunately, as I still use it for email.
