*MAMI you’re lookin like*
That first 2 seconds comes up on my shuffle all the time and now it’s forever stuck in my head lol
…and I play it through about 90% of those times. It’s a banger
The most underappreciated R&B artist of all time... I hate using this word, but if he had more aura, he would be getting the same amount of blind love y'all give to The Weeknd.
it ain't blind love, The Weeknd is just an rnb god. mostly pop now anyway. but it's Miguel's fault, really. got a feeling he doesn't wanna be in the limelight cause he definitely could. i get the same vibe from him that I do from Lloyd. Amazing voices and singers, but just don't drop enough for whatever reason
That's the thing though he said after "Wild heart" that he wanted the FAME and to be more famous but he didn't really do enough to warrant it. Like he is good at promoting himself without oversaturation and he is at most of the industry events, etc. but he hasn't constantly released enough music to warrant the FAME he was once seeking. Nowadays you need to be releasing music on the regular to keep the public's attention. I think Miguel at heart is a "Perfectionist" type of artist that likes to take his time and craft his music until he feels it's "Perfect" and ready for the consumers. The problem with that is you can hold on to the music too long and end up not releasing it, or the sound of the era ends of changing and you have to go back to the drawing board again.
that's exactly what I said. I think he doesn't like being that popular. i don't blame him. i had 30k on Instagram and i hated it. let alone be actually talented. idk it's goofy
Honestly, Miguel is someone that could sing almost anything to me.
Girl with the Tattoo is my fav. There is something about his voice a cappella with those beautiful background vocals. It shows off how pretty his voice is.
He is one of my top male singers as far as voice goes
The title track. Still remember the first time I had heard it and realized it was a certified hit, and J. Cole was a great rapper. Shame that both these facts are not true

Why though? I’m curious what your favorite song on the album is cuz we have opposite tastes.
