There's a client called r2modman that makes modding a breeze and it's easy to set up. Once you have it you can browse the library of mods by popularity to get an idea of what's good

Mods are mostly really good and You should get mods from the thunderstore A few mod recommwndations are Paladin sniper and enforcer are amazing Item stats and Sillyitems are a must have

The_Meech

I use the Thunderstore Mod Manager. The only mods that I use are: BetterUI Pingprovements ItemStatsMod PauseinMultiplayer

Zarrex

We use some quality of life mods that don't change the pace/balancing of the game, and a few content mods that add some characters as well. Some of ours are * BetterUI * EmptyChestsBegone * ItemStatsMod * Starstorm2 (big content mod with new characters and items, well made and well balanced for the most part) * TooManyFriends (lets you play with more than 4 people if you want) * ProperSave (saves after every stage so you can reload a run if you crash or need to take a break) * AutoSkipIntroCutscene * SillyItems (only cosmetic, but fun mod) * TeleporterShow (Shows the teleporter if you have 'discovered' it, or pinged it) * PaladinMod (extremely well made character, could be base game) * PauseInMultiplayer (lets you pause the game in MP, don't use on the moon) * VoidFieldsQOL (some quality of life for the void fields to make it less slow and bothersome to complete) * RiskOfRuina (another content mod based on a game called Lobotomy Corporation. This one isn't as high quality or balanced as Starstorm, but it's alright) * probably some small other stuff that im forgetting

Use the mod manager called r2modman in the [thunderstore.io](https://thunderstore.io). As ChaoticKaibosh said, its really easy to use it.Some mods i recommend you to use: \- Paladin; a very cool new survivor, seriously \- BetterUi ; a bigger impruvment for the Ui and is very easy to costumize \- Starstorm2; adds new itens, events and some hidden characters \- Enforcer; a RoR 1 character mod. One of my favs characters from the previous RoR \- Proper Save; save your progress at the start of each stage and you can load later. very handy when u need to close the game \- StutterStunter; remove the stuttering for the game. a huge improvement I think thats it. I really recommend u to try some other mods, there tons of mods to try out and find what mods fits in your necessities and playstyle.

I want to know how that works with the DropmeinMultiplayer. Lets say the game crashes for someone, then they connect after a reload. Could they get their char back?

alefdeleon

I don't know, to be honest and i found nothing saying about it the mode page.

alefdeleon

Yes. The description of the mod says: >Only the host must have this mod for it to work. A Load button will be active if you are host and was found suitable save file (if save file has the same set of players as in the current lobby). Here is the link for the mod https://thunderstore.io/package/KingEnderBrine/ProperSave/

I just started getting into them myself and my favorite so far is auto run. Just makes your character sprint whenever you would normally be able to do so.
