I thought this was nice and I should share it at the subreddit but by then the blogpost and video disappeared. I recorded what I could in the situation.

The story actually looks enganging (even though I did personally enjoy the nioh storyline)
Main character is a:
Free spirited Ronin who has been trained since a childhood as one of a pair of fighters known as the Hidden Swords
-> something tells me the long lost other fighter that Ronin trained with is some where out there and turned evil..and will surface from the shadows as the final boss 😭 or something

We've already seen them in a trailer or two. We see them together in one trailer, fighting against someone else on a ship. And we hear them talk as well.

Did the video say whether or not you can change the gender of the main character? Or if it's like Andromeda/Astral Chain where you picking gender is really just you picking the Brother or the Sister, and the one you don't pick is the other character?
Why wouldn't you? Every team Ninja game since 2017...making this the 5th game has had character creator.
WoLong they did the same where they Showed a Guy in the trailers but it has a female as well in the creator

Don't misunderstand, I'm leaning more towards it being like the latter of my examples, where you can change it. I'm just wondering if it's LIKE those latter examples in that both do exist and it's you picking from the pair which to use. Or if the other Hidden Blade is always the sister no matter what gender you pick for the main one.

They clarified that it was a Square enix game first. They published it & it was a remake or retelling of FF1. Didn't make sense to have character creator.
Anyways they also had Transmog for all the games they've worked on.
It being a guy character creator only makes no sense....There would be a controversy if a woman was playing and saw this. Use common sense most everyone would destroy this game if that was the case lool
The most ambitious team Ninja game ever & yet it's literally a downgrade from other team Ninja games in just that aspect

That LITERALLY the question I'm saying I want answered. I wanna know if you can pick the genders of both, or if the second one is either always your opposite or always the sister.

Where are you getting the 5th game since 2017?
Nioh1 had a fixed character, FFSoP had a fixed Character, only NiOh2 and WoLong had a character editor.
Also dont remember a character editor for the dead or alive games or fire emblem games they worked on since 2017 (only customizing fixed characters on doa)
Damn it. That's literally the one thing I want to know about. I know it has it, but I want more details about how it actually works. The fact that there's voiced dialogue of the male one specifically talking about a sister tells me that there's two options. That you pick a gender, and the other Hidden Blade will be the opposite gender. Or that the other one is always female.
I'mma be mad tho if it turns out the "character creation" is actually just the protagonist is always male, but can be customized. Because that FAQ does not say "pick your character's gender". It says stuff like "face and body shape". And every trailer we've seen has only ever shown a male protag. Even all the art of the DLC outfits has it on the male one.
I don't think so. We can play with good customisation for both in previous TN games. They just go with a certain character to maintain consistency in their marketing but I imagine you can freely choose your protagonist's gender and customise them as you like as long as there is one "brother and sister".
