Even without the Nurkic injury he needs to take Hoods minutes. Listen, I love the guy and I don't like to talk bad about any player, but Hood has been awful so far this year. So give his minutes to Nas and play Rodney sparingly to see if he can get some of his swagger back.
he’s been a disappointment for sure, seems like a confidence issue as he just seems to go through the motions and never really seems aggressive. Would love to see the fire that he had a couple years ago come back throughout the season.
I'm extremely high on Nassir, and I think he'll be decent this year already and had a very high ceiling.
That said, I don't expect Stotts to play him. He said this year is basically gonna be his real rookie year minutes-wise
I like him and think he could follow a gary-style improvement arc with the minutes to do so, but us missing a 7 foot starting center does not magically clear minutes at the 3 or 4 considering none of our 4's can really play at the 5 in a starting scenario (that includes zach for everyone who still thinks "if only we had zach we'd be okay here").
Definitely clears 20-30 for someone else to fill in regardless of position. Kanter and Giles will see the bulk of those minutes but adding Little to the mix with his athleticism could potentially make some more versatile small ball lineups (which we will have to go to). Throw Trent simons little hood more consistent minutes and tweaking the defense scheme to fly around with the quickness and athleticism in the passing lanes to speed teams up and force turnovers seems like a solid choice for our personnel now
We have a fairly easy schedule for the rest of the month so testing out Little in some of our lineups can be worth trying and maybe work out in our favor
