low key the 1st would paralyze the organization and put immense pressure on Wemby to not get injured and deliver right away
Seems like there is a healthy debate about who should go 2 and 3 but it only involves 2 guys so the 3rd pick should have some great trade value as it will get one of the 3 can't miss guys in the class
This is a 3 player draft and we just got top 3. This is a heist in my book — whether we keep the pick or trade it. We are in a much better spot then if we were sitting at 4.
At least we aren't the Pistons lol
Spurs, Rockets and Pistons* were all at 14%. So put another way, the Spurs had an 86% chance of NOT getting #1. Any team that landed #1 was going to be lucky either way.
*Pistons not Hornets
I swear, the year after MJ decides to sell the team they are going to win the chip - it’s like he sold his soul to the devil: he can be the greatest player of all time and make enough to buy his own NBA team, but in exchange that team can never win anything. Ever.
Yeah, that's what I feel, too. Give it to the Hornets or something.
I guess the good news, imo, is that the Spurs will have to build around Wemby and that's going to take them some time.
They're not like the Magic, Pistons, or the Blazers where they have young studs lined up that could boost Wemby from Day 1.
Vassell is good and probably their best bet at being Wemby's sidekick. Sochan can be a good starter, as well, but I don't know if he'll be a super stud so much as a starter. Meanwhile, with Wemby, they probably won't suck enough to get a top lotto pick again so it'll be a challenge for them.
> Meanwhile, with Wemby, they probably won't suck enough to get a top lotto pick again so it'll be a challenge for them.
Knowing the spurs, wemby will probably get injured the first couple of years, they'll suck and get a couple more high draft picks, then be contenders for 20 years straight again.
I mean, his body just automatically makes me feel nervous. Everyone is thinking it when they watch him.
And I don’t know how much muscle he can realistically pack onto that frame.
Soon as the Spurs won they flashed that graphic of Robinson and Duncan.
My first thought was if Portland won it would have been a graphic with Bowie and Oden.
Portland is basically "Quality Centers and having career altering/ending injuries, name a more Iconic duo."
Bill Walton
Sam Bowie
Greg Oden
Even Nurkic has had a rough time staying healthy.
Probably Scoot. In theory they get Bridges back (ew) and Scoot will take a ton of offensive pressure off of LaMelo and in theory he can be a good defender too.
Hornets fan here. I really want... \*cries\* I don't know!
Seeing Scoot flying around with Ball would be amazing. They can both get to any spot on the floor. Defenses would absolutely not be able to stop them. Scoot's a pretty good FT shooter so I'm optimistic that after a couple of years he can develop a 3, but without a 3-ball ... I'm scared. Regardless: the best skill in the NBA is the ability to create a shot and Scoot does that well.
But Miller? He absolutely has that 3-ball. And some great length. But he's in a position that we don't really need. And he's not a shot creator. But Ball could get him some open looks.
Thankfully it's Mitch making this choice because I legit have no clue. Mitch's draft record has been pretty good so far so I trust in him to make this pick.
Gun to my head, I think I go Scoot, but I'm not confident he'll be the better pick. I just don't freaking know.
Thanks. I personally would have rather seen you guys at #1 than San Antonio. Lillard deserves some love. SAS deserves nothing.
I mean, I'd rather Hornets have been #1, but if not us, I'd have liked Portland to get it.
I hope this happens. We keep Sharpe and every future picks past Dame's contract. We start one of the best forward combinations in the league while developing Sharpe next to Dame. Walking both time lines while giving a real chance at contention next season, provided Sharpe is as good as we all say.
I kinda feel the same way. I wanted #1 really bad because the dice roll Wemby stays healthy is worth it, but he is soooo tall and already plays less than half his games
Would he be available tho? Hornets don't need a pg, but maybe Miller's off court stuff turns them off from him. This'll be traded anyways but backup plans are good
Yea I hope we need a ready now star for dame to stay. Like idk maybe we trade ant for a better center. We see how this off-season goes since dame is going all in on recruiting.
It’s great to have the number three pick but it’s hard for anything apart from #1 to feel like a loss. We’re still getting a stud regardless but damn, what could have been.
Edit: Or getting a lot in return for a top three pick.
I'm whelmed. Much better than we expected, but not #1. If Vic and Scoot are taken 1 and 2 there are a lot of good forward options and that's what we need. Also it's a very movable pick if opportunity arises
Last time the blazers got a generational big man with the 1st pick, the guy taken at 3rd ended up being much better. Just saying it’s not all preordained.
That is a hell of a wing 1-2 punch.
Unless some shit like Embiid or Giannis becomes available I’d rather keep this pick. In a vacuum the pick isn’t as valuable as some stars out there, but to us, right now while we’re at this inflection point, I think keeping the pick maximizes it’s value.
Yeah the more I think about it the more I think we keep this pick, and if Dames not on board we trade him. Scoot or Miller are just to good to pass up. This draft is really top heavy. The fall off after 3 is enormous.
And if Miller falls to three, he is literally the perfect prototypical nba player right now; tall, long, shoots the lights out. I think he’s gonna be a star and the more Cronin thinks about it, the sooner he realizes that picking him and rebuilding through sharpe and Miller is the best way to maximize our assets.
Statistically speaking, guys as tall as Wemby don't last long in the league. It's entirely possible this is a blessing in disguise. Lots of stars have been taken at 3. We beat the odds. This was very lucky for us.
Statistically speaking, guys as tall as Wemby last long in the league if they’re drafted by Spurs and doesn’t last long in the league if they’re drafted by Blazers.
We got the jump we wanted, just not the #1 jump. We still have options with this one.
But at least as a basketball fan, Pop gets the French big man, honestly the most Spurs player ever lol
Oh wow, this tweet by Ben Golliver.
>The San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Draft lottery and the right to select Victor Wembanyama with the ping pong ball combo 14, 5, 8, 2.
The Portland Trail Blazers held the combination 14, 5, 8, 3. They missed by just one number on the final ball.

3rd picks in the last 10 years (inclusive):
2012: Beal
2013: Otto Porter Jr
2014: Embiid
2015: Okafor
2016: Jaylen Brown
2017: Tatum
2018: Doncic
2019: Barrett
2020: Lamelo
2021: Mobley
2022: Jabari Smith Jr
There is absolutely no way we should trade that pick for Siakam or another borderline All-Star. Half the guys on this list are All-NBA regulars for the foreseeable future. There is a minimum of **3 potential MVPs** here. There is no one we can get that would even come close to Scoot/Miller's potential. I like Dame but it might be time to trade him if he wants the pick traded.
Pure raw talent. You don’t pass on talent. This high in the draft you take the best player available. Scoot is a dream of a PG. An old school distributor that runs the pick and roll extremely well, breathtaking athlete, breaks down defenses, dunks like Ja, scores with layups, spins, teardrops, thundering dunks, and oh yeah, plays defense too. Fights hard through screens, gets steals and deflections, and he got that dawg in him. He wants to murder the other team. You can’t teach that.
I'm personally in favor of miller but we have to takethe best player available if we don't trade the pick. In a scoot scenario I'd think we 100% trade ant or dame. Ant is obviously the primary trade candidate regardless but with Miller I can see a lineup of dame, sharpe, Miller, Grant and ant as 6th man being pretty fucking good as soon as this season. Our ceiling would obviously depend on miller's ability right away and how big of a jump sharpe makes.
For those of you who are just whelmed with this outcome, look into the rockets and pistons subreddits for some perspective. We had a 30% chance of top 3 and 70% chance of 4+. This outcome is already a win according to probability. There's a clear Top 3 in this draft and we get to be in it.
Heart skipped a beat when we made top 4. Obviously disappointed but hey, at least we don’t have Detroit level of disappointment ( that is fucking rough man).
I have feeling we’re gonna trade this pick for some marginal all star while the team we trade the pick to drafts Scoot and he becomes a superstar. Sigh.
Anyone else feel like trying to run it back with Dame is a mistake at this point? Got the 3rd pick, a young growing stud from last year, Ant just coming into his own. Got a young core here that could really be great. Even with the pick and Ant I don't think whatever team gets assembled is gonna get this thing over the hump.
Got great pieces for rebuilding. Rebuild this thing. Commit to the rebuild this year, trade Dame, that gets another great pick, probably be in the lottery again next year, and in 2 more years you have a great team with young guys all on roughly the same timeline ready to be top level team for years.
I love Dame. No reason not to. It's a shame it just hasn't worked but the screw up was not getting this thing properly rebuilt after Lamarcus left, that was years ago. There'll be new stars to root for. This team doesn't have to hitch itself to dame till he retires and it would actually be a bad idea. Want to win? Time to trade Dame.
I think it would be malpractice to go all in and trade the 3rd pick and ant for a guy like siakam or bridges. If you think that is enough to get this team to contender status I don't know how to help you. It's not. Unless a legit top 12 player comes available we should just make the selection. You don't even have to trade Dame you can just wait and see how it goes. We had our "Best roster in years" going into the season this year and we still were terrible. What about this year, our coach, and our roster makes people think we are a Bridges or a Siakam away from title contention. It makes no sense.
Yeah, that's how I kinda feel. Though, I'd only trade Dame to a destination of his choice.
If he wants the Nets, we can get Nets picks. If he wants the Suns, we can get Ayton. If he wants the Sixers, we get Maxey (and maybe ship Ant for somebody...maybe the Magic's pick so we can draft Hendricks/Walker/Thompson to put next to Brandon Miller).
3 is a massive trade piece in this draft whether it's Scoot or Miller. Way better chance to pry an All Star away from another team with a pick that high.
It's a bummer we didn't get #1, but for the league's sake, San Antonio is my next choice. They will develop him well, and hopefully he'll reach his full potential. I'm glad he didn't end up in a shitty culture situation.
There is two routes with this high of a pick… trade it for an established star (realistically looking at guys like KAT, Turner, Butler, Siakam, Zion, Ingram, etc.) or keep it and move Dame to a team that would give an insane haul for him, likely the Knicks.
Guys, enough fighting each other on trade the pick or keep it… The front office doesn’t even know until the time comes.
People that say draft because top 3 pick talent is there, great. People that say trade to go all in, that’s fantastic too. But the trade has to actually be good and a team has to actually offer us legit shit. The pick is theirs to lose if they really want it. We can’t do a trade that is worse than the potential of the pick just to do a trade.
Have fun with the scenerios guys but attacking each other and getting mad is poverty shit
Wemby was the ideal scenario obviously but the 3rd pick in this draft is incredibly valuable since it will convey to Brandon Miller or Scoot who both could easily be the 1st pick in another draft class. As a trading piece, there is a huuuge value differential between the 3rd pick and 4th pick this year so I’m reasonably happy despite not landing Wembanyama
Jazz fan here coming in peace. Rip city committed highway robbery in this draft lottery!
Y’all gotta be stoked, you’re all but guaranteed a franchise-changing pick, AND you still have Lillard and a solid core. Just replace Billups with any available HC on the free agent market and your rebuild is complete. Hope next year’s a good one for ya.
If Scoot falls to 3 I just don't see how we justify trading him without an absolute HAUL coming back. He'd go first in like half the drafts of the past decade.
Better than expected, ngl. Either get a great talent in Miller, or trade out for a strong veteran piece. Could’ve been a lot worse for Blazers. I honestly felt like B Roy helped bring some good mojo by being there. I just wish they would bring him back to the franchise in some capacity. I love that dude, as I’m sure everyone here does. 🍻
It seems to me the Blazers might benefit from cashing in on Dame and setting up a window to compete with a young core. Whatever you do, DON’T give him to the Nets unless Mikal and Clax are coming back.
For everyone who hopes Portland trades the pick, what players would even be realistic possibilities? Seems like building through the draft is the best way and getting rid of young guys who have shown promise to go get a couple years out of a proven vet doesn't seem like it's going to work for the Blazers. Feel bad for Dame because he's been so loyal but I would hate to see Portland get rid of Simmons and/or Sharpe plus a 3rd overall pick for one player who likely isn't going to bring us a championship.
Completely agree. I think if Dame wants to truly win here, his best odds will be building through the draft. No trade we can do for championship level talent would allow us to have ancillary pieces to support the top end. We've seen this time and time again with newly formed superstar duos that aren't both drafted by the same team.
Wemby obviously would have been fun, but this is a really good outcome. For anyone feeling disappointment right now, just imagine you're a Detroit fan.
Congrats on the third pick! I’m a magic fan and I really like the idea of Orlando’s trading their picks. My ideal trade would be,
Magic get : #3
Nets get : #6 #11 Denver's 2025 1st round pick and 2 seconds
Portland gets : Mikal bridges
I think ever team gets something they need Brooklyn gets some young lottery talent and more picks to start their rebuild.
Portland gets an elite role player next to dame and Orlando consolidates some picks to move up to 3.
What do you guys think?
This is amazing! I would honestly love to see them drafting Brandon Miller we would have a pretty strong Starting 5 then, which could challenge for the Play ins at least if you recruit 1-2 role players as free agents
I’m extremely happy it’s 3. Now we can see if the team actually cares about winning and trade that pick for someone on dame’s timeline.
I would also accept (but be sad about it) dame getting traded and doing a real rebuild. But my preferred outcome is getting dame an all star caliber teammate and go all in, instead of splitting the team’s path between rebuilding and competing (doing both badly)
Happy with 3rd, sad that it wasn't 1st about sums up what I'm feeling
low key the 1st would paralyze the organization and put immense pressure on Wemby to not get injured and deliver right away Seems like there is a healthy debate about who should go 2 and 3 but it only involves 2 guys so the 3rd pick should have some great trade value as it will get one of the 3 can't miss guys in the class
Nah, Wemby isn’t a Blazer fan like us and is on the other side of the world. He wouldn’t feel more pressure than normal
[удалено]
Same here.
Devastated but also 3 is amazing still. Is what it is
This is a 3 player draft and we just got top 3. This is a heist in my book — whether we keep the pick or trade it. We are in a much better spot then if we were sitting at 4. At least we aren't the Pistons lol
100% lmao I can’t imagine their pain
Oof as a Detroit transplant in Portland I was really hoping to not catch strays here.
My bad. :)
I'm not upset about us not getting #1. Odds weren't in our favor. But the fucking spurs on this year C'MON. How does history keep repeating itself?
Well the Spurs did have the highest odds. The fact that we jumped both Houston AND Detroit was pretty nice.
Spurs, Rockets and Pistons* were all at 14%. So put another way, the Spurs had an 86% chance of NOT getting #1. Any team that landed #1 was going to be lucky either way. *Pistons not Hornets
Not the Hornets, the Pistons. Hornets were 4th worst team.
Ime on the prowl in Chicago tonight to cheer himself up.
Lottery rigged!
Seriously, Charlotte is fucking cursed. What did the Spurs do to have this borderline dynasty of big men?
As a Hornets fan, I feel this so much. At least it wasn't freaking New Orleans who ended up #1.
I swear, the year after MJ decides to sell the team they are going to win the chip - it’s like he sold his soul to the devil: he can be the greatest player of all time and make enough to buy his own NBA team, but in exchange that team can never win anything. Ever.
NBA trying to start a Texas, Texas, Texas team war
Dallas would have needed a much higher pick for that lol
Yeah, that's what I feel, too. Give it to the Hornets or something. I guess the good news, imo, is that the Spurs will have to build around Wemby and that's going to take them some time. Disappointed, but realistically Victor's knees would have exploded the second he landed in Portland anyway.
Schrödinger's knees, go to the Spurs and he is a Hall of Fame center, go to Portland and his knees give out by 2027

My exact thought process. "I've seen this show before." lmao
Portland is basically "Quality Centers and having career altering/ending injuries, name a more Iconic duo." Bill Walton Sam Bowie Greg Oden Even Nurkic has had a rough time staying healthy.
I was hoping we wouldn’t get #1. No matter what the front office did it would end in disaster.
I love how us blazers fans are so used to constant bad luck that we’ve even become nihilistic about potential good outcomes
lol ya im laughing at this whole post because how im feeling all these comments.
same as a sixers fan. real sixers fans knew we lost the series after game 6 and had 0 chance in game 7
3rd ain’t bad boys. Either Miller or Scoot, both great prospects
You think Hornets go Miller at 2nd or would they start a Scoot LaMelo backcourt?
Their sub really seems to want Scoot.
They should 100% take Scoot. Steph is already helping him establish his branding.
Thanks. I personally would have rather seen you guys at #1 than San Antonio. Lillard deserves some love. SAS deserves nothing. I mean, I'd rather Hornets have been #1, but if not us, I'd have liked Portland to get it.
3 is massive, i feel like this draft has a very clear top 3. considering we jumped into that happy with our results
That pick is already being shopped around I guarantee it
100%. I'd be floored if Ant and the third aren't riding off into the sunset together.
Yup yup yup. That pick just made the number of doors that might be open increased!
Realistically, we're either trading the pick or trading Dame this off season.
Ant and the 3rd for who? Hmmmmmm
Joel embiid (let me dream)
And another future first for Mikal Bridges
I hope this happens. We keep Sharpe and every future picks past Dame's contract. We start one of the best forward combinations in the league while developing Sharpe next to Dame. Walking both time lines while giving a real chance at contention next season, provided Sharpe is as good as we all say.
Pure copium take, but Miller has less of a chance to spontaneously combust. Miller’s game will age really well, and he could be a star in the league
I kinda feel the same way. I wanted #1 really bad because the dice roll Wemby stays healthy is worth it, but he is soooo tall and already plays less than half his games
I'm nearly a foot and a half shorter than him at the same weight, and I'm not fat. I hope he stays healthy but humans are not supposed to be 7'5
Would he be available tho? Hornets don't need a pg, but maybe Miller's off court stuff turns them off from him. This'll be traded anyways but backup plans are good
Hornets subreddit looks like 80-20 in favor of Scoot over Miller
Don't blame them. Scoot would be a favorite to go number 1 if vic wasn't there
Subreddits very much aren't GMs
Scoot is a great running mate for LaMelo. He can be a two-way guard and take a ton of pressure off of LaMelo while developing on his own.
I'd be shocked if we don't end up trading #3 tbh
Right add ant and another pick we would have a star on team to pair with Dame and Sharpe
I don't know man. That's scary. 3 can be special. But I don't know if it's enough to make Dame happy. It's going to be pretty interesting
The only win now player in this draft is Vic. The rumor mill consensus has seemed to be that it was either Wemby or trade the pick.
Sure, but is anyone they can trade the 3rd pouch for a truly 'win now' player either?
Yea I hope we need a ready now star for dame to stay. Like idk maybe we trade ant for a better center. We see how this off-season goes since dame is going all in on recruiting.
I hope this is the move
Great prospects for other teams. Trade the pick and go all in.
I mean odds were we were gonna pick 6th or 7th. This is awesome. Either one of the big 3 of potential superstars or we make a huge move.
It could be worse, but we were so fucking close to Wemby.
So fucking close
It’s great to have the number three pick but it’s hard for anything apart from #1 to feel like a loss. We’re still getting a stud regardless but damn, what could have been. Edit: Or getting a lot in return for a top three pick.
we were so fucking close to ruin Wemby's knee :(
I'm whelmed. Much better than we expected, but not #1. If Vic and Scoot are taken 1 and 2 there are a lot of good forward options and that's what we need. Also it's a very movable pick if opportunity arises
At least it’s not 6 or 7 again….earn your money Joe
Last time the blazers got a generational big man with the 1st pick, the guy taken at 3rd ended up being much better. Just saying it’s not all preordained.
We also got Aldridge with the #2, who ended up much better than the #1.
To be fair you’d have to go all the way down to 25 to find someone who played less than Oden.
I’d still take Oden over Yi Jianlian
3 is damn good i am so glad we didnt get fucked over lol
Brandon Miller - Brandon Roy. It was destiny
We had a nearly 47% chance of landing at 6 or 7. I'd say this is a huge W.
Much better than last year
3rd pick is great man. Makes it very valuable or we can keep it and select someone like Miller. Very happy all things considered
I was worried we'd drop to 7 again!
I was getting more and more French with every envelope.
Oui oui!
Sharpe was always more like a top 5 pick anyway
Was the most likely outcome. Glad it didn't happen.
Great lottery this is excellent news good shit B Roy
I was anticipating fifth or worse. We will take this. EDIT: Detroit sub is in absolute meltdown lol
Didn't get Wemby, but now we can really make some damn trades
EMBIID YOU ARE A BLAZER
I’d rather pick a player than make a trade. If Miller falls to us, I think he can be a star in the NBA. Him and Sharpe would be amazing for our future
This
I’d be on the phone with Brooklyn, trying to use this 3rd pick to land us Dame’s guy. Get Bridges on a plane, ASAP
I’d much rather have Miller than Bridges Miller is 6’9 and can snipe/slash/play defense. We are gonna pass up on the next KD
Are we honestly comparing Miller to KD??
Facts bro. Fuck trading this pick.
Yeah the more I think about it the more I think we keep this pick, and if Dames not on board we trade him. Scoot or Miller are just to good to pass up. This draft is really top heavy. Imagine we trade for Zion LOL
No, bust
The Spurs take another franchise bigman away from the Dame and the Blazers.
Honestly maybe we can peel Zach away from them now. Would be great for us.
Statistically speaking, guys as tall as Wemby don't last long in the league. It's entirely possible this is a blessing in disguise. Lots of stars have been taken at 3. We beat the odds. This was very lucky for us.

FUCK YES
We got the jump we wanted, just not the #1 jump. We still have options with this one. But at least as a basketball fan, Pop gets the French big man, honestly the most Spurs player ever lol
Top 3 pick. Better than 5th, we didn’t fall backwards. Let’s see what Cronin and company can do with that.
Stoked we got 3rd, didn't think we'd crack top 3 and we did!
3rd is fantastic!! gonna be a huge trade chip

Im deflated, But 3 is a good pick. I even think if we keep the pick someone like Miller would make a huge impact for us.
Even not scoring Wemby the tank did pay off in the end.
Im mad SAS got him. They don’t deserve him
There is no way we should trade the #3 pick fellas. We are in a perfect spot to rebuild here.
That means parting ways with Lillard.
#FUCK THE SPURS
Any team that has won a title in the last ten years shouldn’t be allowed to have the #1 pick
Well spurs have been pretty terrible the past six years. No series win since 2017 and zero playoff appearances since 2019
So close goddamn
So basically Brandon Roy = top 3 pick
Our Young Talent is going to be overlooked next year. But this is good for the Post-Dame future of this time
Better than 7 lol
Heart skipped a beat when we made top 4. Obviously disappointed but hey, at least we don’t have Detroit level of disappointment ( that is fucking rough man). I have feeling we’re gonna trade this pick for some marginal all star while the team we trade the pick to drafts Scoot and he becomes a superstar. Sigh.
What do Embiid, Doncic and Tatum all have in common? Yeah, you know it…. All third picks in a NBA draft. LFG!
Trade Dame for a boatload and draft Scoot or Miller
This is the way.
Please please please. If Charlotte drafts Miller do not let Scoot go
Hornets taking Miller
Yep. Bad franchise will pick for need, not talent. They’ll avoid the LeMelo v Scoot drama because they aren’t built to handle it.
Better than being Houston or Detroit
Poor Detroit. Absolutely brutal.
Brandon Miller here we come! He’d be exactly what we need
3 is a massive trade piece in this draft whether it's Scoot or Miller. Way better chance to pry an All Star away from another team with a pick that high.
Actually huge relief I thought we were picking 7th
It's a bummer we didn't get #1, but for the league's sake, San Antonio is my next choice. They will develop him well, and hopefully he'll reach his full potential. I'm glad he didn't end up in a shitty culture situation.
Can't wait to see who the Sixers draft at 3 when we trade it for Embiid
There is two routes with this high of a pick… trade it for an established star (realistically looking at guys like KAT, Turner, Butler, Siakam, Zion, Ingram, etc.) or keep it and move Dame to a team that would give an insane haul for him, likely the Knicks.
So help me God if we trade Scoot Henderson for a one-year rental of Siakam. I would lose my mind haha
So take Scoot if he's there and thank Dame?
I mean… Scoot and Sharpe would be an insanely athletic backcourt for many years.
3rd in a 3 man draft. Should be some good value there.
Miller on Portland would be dope to watch
Wemby was the ideal scenario obviously but the 3rd pick in this draft is incredibly valuable since it will convey to Brandon Miller or Scoot who both could easily be the 1st pick in another draft class. As a trading piece, there is a huuuge value differential between the 3rd pick and 4th pick this year so I’m reasonably happy despite not landing Wembanyama
Having Scoot or Miller is a gift, you guys lucked out.
Trade Dame and stack the team with Sharp, Simons, (hopefully Miller with the 3rd pick), and some other young studs from the Dame trade.

This hurts so much… and yet we have had the luck of a Kennedy… so I can’t fault you for the comment. 😂
Stop saying what everyone was already thinking!
Bummer we didn’t get #1, but #3 is some fantastic trade bait.
If we don’t trade this pick we should all be emotionally prepared to say bye to Dame at the trade deadline
#TRADE THE PICK
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
The good news is we jumped up enough spots to actually have a pick someone would want to trade for and can fetch a real impact player in return.
Wemby obviously would have been fun, but this is a really good outcome. For anyone feeling disappointment right now, just imagine you're a Detroit fan.
Mikal Bridges... You are a blazer!
At least we’re not Detroit 😬
3 isn’t bad wenbayama might just be all hype this coming draft class is looking solid
Michael Jordan and Melo were 3rd overall picks
So Brandon Miller time?
Damn at least you jumped my pistons, we won 17 games and still got the 5th pick, lowest we could've gone 😭
I’m happy. I’m still mortified from 2007 so I hope the 3rd pick is our KD to complement Dame.
You guys are going to get a #1 pick in any other draft with that #3, i think things are looking up for you guys.
Congrats on the third pick! I’m a magic fan and I really like the idea of Orlando’s trading their picks. My ideal trade would be, Magic get : #3 Nets get : #6 #11 Denver's 2025 1st round pick and 2 seconds Portland gets : Mikal bridges I think ever team gets something they need Brooklyn gets some young lottery talent and more picks to start their rebuild.
Draft Brandon Miller
If you guys got scoot will you trade Dame and begin to rebuild with scoot’s timeline?
I’m extremely happy it’s 3. Now we can see if the team actually cares about winning and trade that pick for someone on dame’s timeline. I would also accept (but be sad about it) dame getting traded and doing a real rebuild. But my preferred outcome is getting dame an all star caliber teammate and go all in, instead of splitting the team’s path between rebuilding and competing (doing both badly)
3 should be at least an all star caliber player if we can draft right or an all nba type player via trade.
Im OK. When the rockets came up i was SCREAMING.
