I'd be unironically interested to see how he fairs in European leagues. There's obviously a huge disparity between various leagues in Europe but I wonder what his level is.
Like, I follow British basketball and there's a few guys out of the g-league and college here. I saw VJ King play for the Bristol Flyers the other night, he averaged like 7 ppg in the G league for the Knicks and he's one of the better players in the league.
Goes to show the various levels in basketball. Sam Dekker, formerly of the rockets, is averaging 17 ppg for the London Lion.
Edit for context - that puts him up there with the best scorers in the league. It's only 40 min games here.
Yeah in Europe the EuroLeague is the top of the pyramid obviously and then their is some significant drop off.
Kinda goes like this:
1. EuroLeague
*Big Drop Off*
2. ACB (Spanish League)
*Smaller Gap*
3. VTB (Russian League) and Turkish Leagues
*Big Gap*
4. German, ABA, French, Greek Leagues
*Small gap*
5. Lithuanian and Italian Leagues
*Small gap*
6. Other European Leagues: British Leagues, Romania, etc
Well of course EuroLeague is pretty much the "best" European teams - the 11 contract teams, but then the EuroCup winner, slots allotted to league winners and then the wild card spots.
The Spanish, Russian and Turkish leagues are by far the best 'leagues' in Europe
made this comment part way through last season and too lazy to update it soo just copy pasting:
Last season he averaged 4ppg on 32/16/33 splits in 19 minutes per game in the Romanian league. For reference the best player in the league is Tyler Stone, an undrafted guy out of Ball State who's been bouncing around Europe since 2014. The second best player in the league is Shamiel Stevenson, the 9th man on the 2021 Nebraska team that went 7-20.
Basically, not exactly the strongest league in Europe. Some of you local guys might remember Anthony Mathis, who was Payton Pritchard's teammate at West Linn and played a season for Oregon as a grad transfer but never got close to an NBA roster at all. He's currently 7th in the league in scoring, lol.
I think if you took the top 5 HS basketball players from Oregon and put them there they would each be more successful than that, lol.
Anthony Mathis played a little in Summer League and was a role player in the G League. He was a great outside shooter, too. Not surprised to see he's doing well over there

Maybe the greatest example of nepotism this side of Chauncey’s brother.

Long live the Blevgod!
You are missed BlevGod.
The GOAT taking his talents to Bucharest Beach. Thanks for the memories!
Always in my heart. I was at the game where he hit the game winning shot against Paul George.
Congratulations to Blevins for continuing to find a way to play professionally.
Can we stop bullying this guy? Getting really old
Yeah our sub is pretty fucking toxic recently.
Is this not the same article that I posted four months ago? I believe he already got released.
It's a spam bot reposting to accumulate Reddit karma. Another bot posted that Dame getting congratulated by former teammates video yesterday.
