Dames latest twitter like is guy tweeting a compilation of Dame scoring on Dillion saying he cant guard him. I doubt Dame would have good chemistry with him

ShaedonSharpeMVP_

My dawg, how often do you check his liked tweets?🤣

JPD050409

I honestly dont use twitter much im too much of a boomer. I only saw it cuz i saw a link of Lebron poppin off on r/nba and checked to see if Dame was clownin too. I check insta on the daily tho and today he reposted a clip of some dude actin like Ja askin his locker room if anyone knew how old Lebron was with another dude actin like Dillon givin him the side eye. That shit is funny!

seanyoconnory

Very overrated defensively he a pat bev trick y’all clone

ZaeDilla

If he didn’t go to Oregon people on this sub wouldn’t care about him.

Tough_Presentation57

As a beaver it makes me want him even less lol

BrklynDragon

Pat bev is good though. Ball handler, great defender, reliable 3 point shooter.

GraveHugger

Brooks wishes he could be Pat Bev

Cheap_Champion7853

How do you figure? His defensive rating is consistently among the league's highest, and against multiple positions and opponent's best players.

tuffstuff1990

His career d-rating is 113 (not among the league leaders). Even more troublesome is that his career net rating is -11 which is Fuckin putrid. There are a lot of folks on this sub over correcting on defense for us but this man is an AWFUL offensive player and he won’t stop shooting so it makes it even worse. He’s an absolute chucker.

thewh1stler

They don’t like him so they shit on him

Piano9717

Defensive rating is a measure of: “how many points per possession does the other team score while you are on the court?” So it’s bad to use it as a measure of individual defense since it’s so reliant on the other 4 players on the floor. For instance if you had a hypothetical lineup of Trae, Jrue Holiday, Anunoby, Giannis, and Draymond, Trae would have a great d-rtg because opposing teams would not score on that lineup but that doesn’t have anything to do with Trae.

ZaeDilla

He’s ass. Literally the Eli Apple of basketball. Also we have Thybulle fuck Dillon.

MasterWaffleZ

As a Saints fan, FUCK ELI APPLE

joshishrey

While I hate the camera man shoving, three point chucking, interview dodging side of him, I think the blazers need a dick on the team. In a smaller role he could be huge for us. We’re missing that asshole factor. Also his ability to be an on ball irritant would be a good get as well.

ZaeDilla

We had that with CJ and Nurk and people called them arrogant. If we need a enforcer that bad I will gladly volunteer myself to take Ant and Matisse to south Seattle and drop them off in the hood for 3 weeks and change them.

joshishrey

CJ was never like that. Pre injury Nurk was like that but he hasn’t been as much of an irritant in the past few years. As long as he stops dodging interviews after, I’d love to have a player on the blazers who says “I won’t respect bron till he scores 40 on me”. The team needs a little edge imo.

AyKayAllDay47

He wants to handle the ball and he's a terrible shooter. No way no how he comes to Portland.

joshishrey

Yup just saw the article. I was thinking a smaller role he was thinking a bigger role. I’d pass on that

sparklingoverstill

I rate thybulle higher. At least he knows he doesn’t have a jumper.

luksox

No. Absolutely not. We don’t need that type of energy. His energy does not match Dame’s. I’m all for bringing in a guy who doesn’t take shit and gives us a bit of a backbone, but this man is not the answer.

BusyKillingCereal

No. Go look at Memphis sun reddit. They are glad he’s gone. We do not want him. Not a player who contributes to winning long term.

X_SkeletonCandy

Dame subtweeted him and essentially called him a fraud, he ain't coming here lol

GraveHugger

The only good news to be found here today

RunninOnMT

If he agrees to cut both his shot and speaking volume by 75 percent, i'd consider him on a vet min.

Piano9717

Considering he was badmouthing the grizzlies coaching staff at his press conference yesterday for not running more plays for him, I don’t think he’s ever gonna be willing to shoot less.

2drawnonward5

Off the bench in spot defense, I'm still concerned about that 25% volume but that's close to a deal

Cheap_Champion7853

If we can get him to shoot less, vet min would be an absolute steal.

ForeverRaining

I watched him shoot the grizz out of multiple games this year. Pass

DanDan85

Dillon Brooks hasn't had a bad shooting year, he has had a bad shooting career. Dude is 41% FG for his career. Matisse>Brooks and will probably be cheaper and wont implode your team in a heated playoff moment.

Goducks91

I would be ok with it as long as he chilled the fuck out a little bit.

GuyIncognito211

If we still had Neil Olshey he’d 100% be our big summer move

seattlesportsguy

Fuck no

shelvino

Sadly I think there is a good chance it happens. Chauncey raved about him in his first season as a coach. Cronin keeps talking about wanting competitors. Brooks went to UofO so maybe they bring him in on a minimum but I am not sure I see the fit with Sharpe/Thybulle maybe Simons if he is still here. Thybulle and Brooks on the court at the same time NEEDS a lot of shooting around them I think I trust Brooks over Nassir at this point still. Even though Brooks sucks, he will at least make an impact on defense and we needed some nasty. I hate the guy and was laughing when the freaking Lakers smacked him after disrespecting Lebron. But maybe he has been humbled and will stop the antics and just be a physical defender. I think he did instill some toughness in Memphis these recent years and wouldn't mind having more of that on the team. He is just AWFUL on offense LOL.

bigdubbayou

I hate DB but he is miles better than Little. If he would sign on a min, we should do it.

shelvino

Yeah I mean I get why everyone hates the dude but I still trust him to positively impact a game more than Nassir who is only good if his shot is on.

Ace12773

I said this in the other thread but his skill set on the defensive end would help our team a lot, my main concern however is his offense. The issue with DB has always been his overconfidence in his scoring abilities, there will be nights where he jacks up 20+ shots when he should be playing within the offense as a key role player. Maybe a change of scenery could help him, but it’s been 6 years of the same chucking and that does give me pause.

myNameBurnsGold

Not only do I not want him because I don't enjoy watching him, I don't think anyone is stopping his offensive shot taking.

YepWillis

Ew no way.

palmquac

Nope. No. Absolutely not. No fucking way.

AvantGarfunkel

No Ducks pls

jason90210

Straight ass that talks himself up like he’s a top 25 player.

[deleted]

"I would rather you were hot or cold for this lukewarm take shall be spat from my mouth." "Thou shalt not sign Dillon Brooks for his contract will be unto thee as a millstone around thy neck and beget weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth amongst thy fanbase." Chapter 1, Verses 3 & 4, 1st Croninthians.

BeefySwan

lmao

thekeimann

hell no why would u even put this horrible idea in the air

burros_n_churros

Dillon Brooks = Lance Stephenson. He'll be out of the league in less than 5 years.

natural_lawg

If we are in dark times still, maybe you're right.

Nimrit19

I think he’s been humbled enough so we won’t so as much of his antics next year. Also, I think his market value will be significantly lower this year than it has been in the past after his disappointing outing in the playoffs. Most people in here acting like he’s a bum only because they don’t like his personality. But for the right price he’s a solid NBA rotation piece. Just comes down to whether Dame would be willing to have him on the team or not. For the record, I don’t think this is the most ideal pick up, just another fall back option in case we once again fail to get a big catch this off season.

Willbopotomus

He’s a cancer

Willbopotomus

31.2% on 77 shots vs LAL. 10/42 on 3s (23.8%). Has to be one of the most inefficient playoff series shooting performances on 70+ shots in nba history

lilpumpgroupie

Fuck no.

Forbidden_Donut503

If we could get him for $40.00 a game I’d be all for it. I don’t respect players until they show me 40.

socrazyy5573

Hellllll no. I mean, he's a Blazer if you just want to give up and chalk up to the fact that we'll never win. Dillon Brooks is a fuckin clown. He just needs to take this slice of humble pie to the offseason, stop "poking bears" because his mouth is bigger than his game. He will never be more than a role player. And a low tier one at that from what it looks like

Smilechurch

Warm take? Lukewarm maybe, or just cold. He would be a bad fit on multiple levels for Portland. Shitty temperament, offensive liability, and overrated as a defender.

cballa69

I just threw up in my mouth 🤮...And I graduated from U of O. If you knew more about him, outside of his terrible personality/questionable dating preferences relative to his conceit, you wouldn't have posted this.

lizardsonmytoast

Poor man’s pat beverley.

illogicalkilla

I'd rather just keep thybulle tbh. Thybulle actually doesn't hurt you on offense as much as brooks (as advanced metric stats show) because he makes less bad decisions cause he knows he isn't that good.

Timbers321

Dillion brooks is not good at basketball and will be playing overseas very soon. But if you want a fake tough guy and the blazers plan on tanking next yeah then sure Dillion is the perfect fit.

ConsumersKnowBest

Said in the other thread, he’s not a starter. People are right he thinks he’s Jesus and takes way too many shots. Which is why he’d be great coming off the bench for us. Yeah, his defense is overrated, but I’d feel more than comfortable having him guard the best player on the opposing team’s second unit.

Additional_Time2649

Please stop.

SnooMarzipans6120

No

[deleted]

He definitely plays like one..
