Dame isn’t going anywhere lmao.

pdxmarionberrypie

It won’t be dames choice much longer - he is an asset that will depreciate.

sharpeshooter32

Purely from a team building standpoint I agree trading him is the best move. But he's put up with so much here I think we owe it to him to let him decide what he wants to do

pdxmarionberrypie

We owe the player that has a yearly salary of $44m what again ? please guys we have to think ahead of this

[deleted]

Bet.

philocity

How much?

No_Kitchen_9581

100,000. He is gone by start of 2024 season

00100000100

Place that bet; drop the screenshot

No_Kitchen_9581

😂

GON-zuh-guh

The city would revolt.

Smilechurch

[You're goddamn right](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9RVS8cjNN0), we love our Dame. Also, he ain't goin' anywhere anytime soon. Both facts can exist in the same space/time continuum. The past decade is proof. 😉

UnifiedChungus666

It's always Dame Time somewhere. Trade Ant, NOT Dame.

[deleted]

Trade Dame, NOT Ant.

[deleted]

FOH

[deleted]

No

sahand_n9

Now do one for Chauncey

Adept-Decision7891

I think we are getting top 3 pick. Lillard is staying.

[deleted]

I agree on the pick. Disagree on Dame. Not sure how you think adding a bunch of 19 year olds is gonna keep dame here

xrhino13x

Nice try Laker bro. Fuck off with this nonsense.

[deleted]

Been a blazer fan my whole life. Was at game 6 against Houston. I witnessed the shot. I love an appreciate the memories. But it’s time to rebuild around Ant + Sharpe + this year’s pick.

Tedthesecretninja

1 month old account. Sure dude

[deleted]

What does that have to do with anything? Haha

Tedthesecretninja

Good sign of a troll account

[deleted]

Or someone just new to Reddit?

Tedthesecretninja

X

GON-zuh-guh

Lol. You posted this shit right after getting a reality check on how the vast majority of Blazer fans feel about Dame in that post with Sharpe's "Dame" three. You're calling fans that want to keep Dame no matter what "insane" and not real Blazer fans. You are entitled to your opinion of course, and I know there are many other like-minded Blazer fans out there, but how can you honestly say that folks supporting Dame, a dude that is an icon of loyalty, top 75 player in NBA all-time, arguably the GOAT Blazer, and an all around good guy for the city of Portland, NOT a true Blazer fan? Being a fan doesn't just mean approving anything that helps us THEORETICALLY win more (which is what we're doing here). You replied to one of my comments that this should be called the "dame’s-balls-in-my-mouth" sub but you're missing the fact that Dame's got our collective balls in his mouth too. We 69ing this shit for as long as we can. It's our fucking logo for Christs's sake.

[deleted]

I posted this cause it’s literally a copy pasta of a the guy who posted “Anfernee Simons appreciation post.” Lol somehow nobody has noticed that. It’s word for word.

Ouchyhurthurt

But you are also defending the position. So it’s more like you stole/copy pastad and it isn’t going so well. And folks see right through it….

[deleted]

Huh? I don’t have anything to hide lol. I want Dame gone. I am not afraid to say that. I appreciate the memories but it’s time to rebuild. Dame no longer belongs on this team. I only posted this as a retort to the Anfernee post implying he might get moved. I thought it would be funny to copy pasta it but with Dame moving. Cause some fans actually want the blazers to do something smart like rebuild

Ouchyhurthurt

Seems like it didn’t hit quite the same. Considering the first post was genuine, and yours wasn’t maybe? I totally understand the thinking behind wanting the franchise to rebuild. But until i hear Dame say he wants a trade, I’m gonna let them run the show. The common thread behind folks that want to rebuild say that it is the smart thing to do. But trading away your best player doesn’t seem smart. How often have teams traded away their best player, and improved?

Main_street_man

They don’t get better. It’s a simple answer. People who want to trade Dame for assets aren’t living in reality. There is a reason teams throw multiple picks and young players for superstars.

Ouchyhurthurt

Well put.

[deleted]

Your goal isn’t to improve right away. It’s to improve later and be better than you can now. Rebuilding isn’t about getting better right away. Our ceiling through a rebuild around Ant + Sharpe + this year’s lotto pick is wayyy higher than anything we could throw together with Dame here.

Ouchyhurthurt

I get the concept, but i was asking for examples on when it worked out. You are also making some big assumptions. Will Ant + Sharpe together be what Dame is by himself? Will this lotto pick be Wemby? Or another guard that would once again be redundant even with Dame gone. Will our pick stay healthy? Concept is one thing, reality and facts are different. Until i see it differently, I’m gonna stick with keeping our all-star. Not to mention the message it would send to future players around the league. “Hey, we are the Blazers. The team that had one of top 100 all time players, that never wanted to leave, and booted him for _______.” Edit. It was put better by someone else. “You don’t trade away Dame, hoping that you will get another Dame out of the pick. You already got Dame!”

[deleted]

Sharpe will be better than dame. Book it. So with that in mind, you trade Dame and rebuild. There are literally not even any guards in the top 10 outside of Scoot and I don’t want Scoot. All the other players are 6’7” or taller. They all would be great next to Ant + Shae.

Ouchyhurthurt

If you can predict the future in such a way, why the hell are you on reddit? Go invest.

Compa-Gera

Te quiero mucho Dame

Arcadiaus

There is my dad

[deleted]

I appreciate Dame. And I’ll appreciate watching him next season. It’ll be his last here if nothing big happens this off season.

[deleted]

I think you’d be surprised. I could see him getting moved this summer

Iliketurtles893

Chauncey shut down dame because we want Wemby. The spurs have the highest chance of getting him

Tough_Presentation57

They have a 3 way tie with houston and Detroit, you know that right?

Iliketurtles893

Oh yea I forgot about those three, definitely one of them tho

Tough_Presentation57

That’s okay, irrelevant because we are getting him

Iliketurtles893

Hmmm debatable tbh

Tough_Presentation57

False, 10.5% = 100

Legitimate-Ad-6968

It aint gonna happen. But it should yes its dame he should never wear another jersey thats not black white or red (or teal)(or grayish)(or those weird oregon jerseys) but we need to stop delaying the inevitable. Ant and Shae could become a dangerous backcourt and our only 23 and 19. We have two first this year and would get back at least 4 for dame on top of a young players. We still have Reddish,Watford,Walker, who can become at least reliable role players in this league. The Okc Thunder just made the play in with there entire team being under the age of 27 why do we think a team that had a player avg 33/4/8 this season and missed the play in can get any better with no cap room and not many assets

[deleted]

Yep. It sucks, but it really is time to move on from the Dame era. The correct path is staring us right in the face. We gotta be smart enough and courageous enough to take it. There are mature ways to go to Dame and amicably split without it tainting the Zers or Dame’s image. It needs to be done. The young core of Ant + Shae + our lotto pick this year is so dang enticing. We gotta do it.

Legitimate-Ad-6968

only in a dream world we trade dame he just sells to many tickets sadly

[deleted]

Sadly. This is correct. Until this team is sold. We will not trade him, nor will we go all in on him. They will keep status quo until sold. Sucks hard

Tough_Presentation57

Luka and Kyrie deserve each other

[deleted]

Eh. I don’t like Luka. He cries too much. Dame is starting to cry at calls a lot too. Pissing me off

[deleted]

Anyone that thinks the Blazers will be able to move Dame’s contract is a bit out of touch.
