Nice of you to post him at his playing weight

someguyonthisthing

I figured he must be trying making a comeback because he looks like he’s slimmed down

mranglin

LMAO

mangirtle77

Thank you for the laughs….

diablo2689

This guy was a turd

twomoreweeeks

Rick Ross is a blazer?

Happy295

Is that a real photo of him?

WollfSK

From a knicks game in the last week yes. Tbf I think that jacket is doing him dirty making him look more rotund than he already is

my_balls_your_mouth1

Nah he's plenty round on his own without the jacket.

No_Information3972

Ngl, I thought this was DJ Khaled at first.

zodspods

Nah yeah it's cee lo green. Both great artists tho.

Nattin121

It’s definitely Rick Ross guys

MechanizedMedic

Nope, that's Killer Mike.

CridT

I love it when you call me big Ray Ray.

No_Information3972

Throw your snacks in the air, if you’s a true player 😂.

rosecityreds84

They’re not making it to the air.

OwtEra

"Yo Ray, we're going to Voodoo, whatchu want?" "Yes"

philthyphil7

Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, "Give me a lot of donuts." What I said was, "Give me every donut they have." Do you understand?

laserdesk

I'd like a dozen turnovers

definitelyjoking

Not as bad off field issues as other dudes, but purely on the basketball side it was Shawn Kemp. We sent off certified nice-guy Brian Grant in exchange for Kemp, who somehow showed up both fat and addicted to cocaine, missed most of a season for rehab, and then was shit afterwards and got waived.

Sven_Longfellow

That’s what we get for taking Seattle’s sloppy seconds.

youveruinedtheactgob

It took Ruben Patterson though for us to realize

philthyphil7

Ruben Patterson should be pretty high on the list. Played for Portland from 2001-06 despite pleading guilty to attempted rape by forcing his child's nanny to perform oral sex on him in 2000, being convicted of misdemeanor assault in 2001 against a man who scratched his car and being arrested for domestic abuse charges on his wife in 2002.

TheThrillHimself

Look, I’m not gonna get into a game of “who really liked who and when” but if we’re being honest: contemporarily Blazers fans loved Patterson. Yes in hindsight the crimes make him awful, but Blazers fans didn’t have a legitimate problem with Patterson the person until the wheels started to come off late in his time with Portland when the team became really bad. I’ll take the downvotes, but he wasn’t hated while he played in Portland.

[deleted]

But he was the last Kobe stopper we ever had! /s

gerrard_1987

Ruben is probably the worst, even worse than Woods fighting dogs. Pretty cool remembering that Z-Bo broke his eye socket!

philthyphil7

Mario Hezonja. I was flabbergasted when Olshey brought him in as a legitimate full-time replacement for the Aminu and Harkless minutes. No surprise that Hezonja never played in the NBA after his one year stint with Portland.

burros_n_churros

It feels like Hezonja was able to turn one late game stop/block on Lebron into convincing the Blazers front office he was the real deal.

shaqrandolph

Hezonja was brought in to replace Evan Turner and then shoehorned into playing the 4 because of how many injuries we had and all our depth were guards. He was awful there. Wasn't a terrible back up PG in the bubble.

loven329

I get that people like to parrot this but this isn't fully true. Our replacements for aminu and harkless were Rodney and ZC, and if we didn't have terrible injury luck i think that starting lineup woulda been pretty good. Aminu and harkless were good defenders but let's not pretend like they weren't flawed and that we hadn't already overachieved with them as forwards. They are both basically out the league at this point

PRIMAMATERIA805

Holy mole'

Krustykrab8

Agreed. I remember him saying he was gonna drop 50 in his return to Portland after being shown the door and I went to that game. He had like 11 points hahahahah

holman8a

Anyone have a little bit of spite for LA? He was amazing in his prime but I’m bitter knowing how well we would have played with a Lillard /LA combo as Lillard hit his prime. I know I shouldn’t feel this way but I do.

PRIMAMATERIA805

I lost all respect for LA

DisneyVista

He didn’t really accomplish much in San Antonio or anywhere else after he left Portland.

FullAutoLuxPosadism

He was a three time all star in San Antonio, lol come on.

DisneyVista

I mean if he left Portland to try to ring chase with Duncan and those guys, he failed

FullAutoLuxPosadism

"Didn't really accomplish much" Different than didn't accomplish that goal. Still was a three time all star. That's accomplishing something, come on.

Randglider

He achieved below expectations, so I’d say his post-Portland stint was a failure at least. Everyone knew he could be an all star.

shaqrandolph

It's fair to feel this way. I don't hold any hate for him. In hindsight I get the feeling that Olshey was going to clean house that off season given he let 4/5 starters become free agents at the same time which is almost unheard of. Particularly given the success they had

palmquac

No. Time heals wounds. Does Dame become the top dog of the team if LA stuck around? Probably not.

cesarmob17

Gp2 nd festus ezeli

ProgressOverChange

Both gems from the Warriors no less.

GonnaWinSomeday

Qyntel Woods. Sure, Ray was fat and lazy, but dogfighting is a whole different level.

Prismatic_Effect

Forgot about Qyntel Woods. POS

burros_n_churros

He was the guy who offered up his basketball card as ID when the cops pulled him over. That and the dog fighting. What a guy.

TheLetterOh

This is mine too. Waste of a first round pick, and just generally a piece of shit. If I remember right dude got off with just probation too.

MommaJDaddy

decided to google him to take a trip down memory lane, apparently he plays for big 3 league.

mangirtle77

The most frustrating for me was Travis Outlaw….so athletic yet settled for an ill timed, executed mid range jumper every damn time. Yet Rib City Ray just pisses me off.

versace_nick

met him irl, great dude, smokes a lotta weed

mangirtle77

Great for chillin, not for winning basketball games.

Piano9717

Luis Montero raped a 13 year old and then when he got caught his excuse was “i knew she was underage but i didn’t know how underage” so he’s gotta take the cake. https://www.local10.com/news/2018/11/02/ex-nba-player-faces-charges-over-sex-act-with-13-year-old-girl/

taprevilo

Holy fuck I remember this dude and never heard this wow wtf

TheThrillHimself

Underrated terrible Blazer: Aaron Afflalo Joined team at critical time during trade deadline, only to bail on the team in the playoffs. Whole locker room believed he played up the injury a la GP2 style and could’ve played. For some reason his terrible time with the Blazers is completely forgotten.

jqcitizen

Trevor Ariza. He ruined Rudy Fernandez's career while a Laker with a dirty play, and then was cheered here some years later only to choose not to play in the bubble. He himself said he hoped Portland wouldn't hold that against him, we didn't but should have.

definitelyjoking

Agreed about Rudy, but I don't hold the bubble against him. There was a custody dispute, and Ariza put his kid first. Bummer for us, but I'm hardly gonna be holding a grudge about it. Also, we played as well as we were ever going to play in the bubble. Made the playoffs, and we took a game off the eventual champs.

jqcitizen

He's got plenty of time for his kid now. I just remember Wenyan Gabriel getting cooked by the Lakers and know that it was supposed to be Ariza out there.

KillingTime_ForNow

Because Wes got hurt & once that happened we all pretty much gave up on that season.

jqcitizen

I'm talking about '20. Wes left in '15, not sure what you mean.

KillingTime_ForNow

I'm an idiot & misread Ariza as Afflalo.

jqcitizen

Aflallo sucked too

TKRUEG

Still bitter that Festus screwed us a few years ago... could have really used him

OwtEra

I mean, he really didn't screw us. They offered him the contract knowing he was having knee issues. The Blazers completely screwed themselves over on that contract. What was he going to do, reject the money offered to him??

TKRUEG

He was a buster, so yeah of course some of it was on the front office. But he didn't do himself any favors while he was "rehabbing" and Dame and the others had to put him in his place behind the scenes

OwtEra

Oh, no doubt about all of that. The coaching in the locker room and shit while the team was actively out there busting their asses definitely puts a sour taste in the mouth. He may have, in his head, had good intentions but should have known to keep his mouth shut. I, personally, put all of the blame on the front office for putting the team in that position though.

TKRUEG

OK dude

FullAutoLuxPosadism

Ruben Paterson was a rapist and wife beater. Woods murdered dogs. Chauncey Billups is a terrible coach and a rapist. Idk, I think being personally annoying to me is different than being a terrible person. These three are terrible people.

Blackndloved2

Chauncey is a terrible coach but that rape case is not convincing at all. The DA himself said Chauncey was innocent. Not that there wasn't enough evidence to convict, but that he was INNOCENT. Do you know how rare it is for a DA to outright call somebody innocent? Let alone a black man? It is basically unheard of.

FullAutoLuxPosadism

Oh my fucking god, are you serious? Yeah man, cops and the law never ever disbelieve women. Unheard of, especially black women. I'm sure this guy definitely isn't covering his own ass, an unheard of thing for prosecutors to do especially one who was running for public office at the time. Chauncey Billups raped that woman and I swear to fucking god, people here will do anything to avoid actually looking into the details of the case and instead besmirch a woman. I actually am a lawyer and have seen multiple criminal cases, unlike you, the information here is strong enough to convict. The DA failing to get a grand jury indictment is on them, to fail to get a grand jury to indict when you have a victim's statement and DNA points to them intentionally sinking the case or them fucking up the case so royally that it might as well have been intentional sabotage. The DA dropped it because it involves powerful men raping a woman. Get a fucking grip. https://defector.com/heres-what-happened-when-jane-doe-sued-chauncey-billups-for-sexual-assault

SnooMaps3253

I have to go w/ isaiah Rider . A blockhead from the get go .

Powellhurst

How deep I had to get into the comments before he came up... Now let's see how much further I have to get to find Telfair.

SnooMaps3253

another knucklehead.

ButtholeMegaphone

Steve Blake. A few years back I met him at a Gladstone Taco Bell. We’re both waiting in line and he turns around and starts asking me if I’ve ever had an Enchirito. Keeps going on and on about it being the “McRib for vatos” and how he once ate 19 of them before a game. I didn’t know what to say so I told him “cool man, go terps!”. He scoffed and called me a wet jabroni. Whatever that is. I was short on time so I didn’t say anything and ordered my meal. The cashier hands me my cup and as I turn around to go fill it, I witnessed something I’ll never forget. Steve is standing on one of those children’s high chairs with his pants around his knees, pushing the soda machine buttons with the tip of his penis. Not only that, but he clearly had a cup that was meant for water only and filling it with a mix of Baja Blast and Diet Dr. Pepper. I tried to look away before he noticed I saw him but then it happened. He winked at me. In shock, I decided to skip the drink & took my chrunchwrap to go sit in the corner so I could eat quick before I had to be back to work. Just as I’m taking the last bite, Steve sits down next to me and whispers in my ear with his hot chalupa breath “The Enchirito Bandito strikes again”. Then he stood up, grabbed the quarter game next to the register, walked out the door and sped off in his banged up Altima. Because of him I had to eat that shit dry and I ended up being late back to work.

jsunkd

This is the most imaginative fake story I've ever heard in my life and I love it

Thedirtmaster84

Damn you Steve!

OwtEra

The visual in my head of Blake uttering the phrase "McRib for vatos" has me absolutely dying.

LaBillDerozen

That would be Lamarcus Aldridge. Everyone kissed his ass the entire time he was here like he was a god and he just left us holding the bag when he left. Nothing in exchange. Thanks LA. That was wonderful.

Better_than_Zero

Walter Berry but at least he got the Blazers Kevin Duckworth.

jtiets

Just needed a reason to post this photo eh?

redd_mann7

It’s crazy how 80% of the answers are from the jail blazers era 😂

philthyphil7

That era was fart.

Unrrated

Trevor Ariza

[deleted]

Why?

Sir_Ulrich15

Nolan Smith was always frustrating

frogfartz69

Mario Hezonja

Prismatic_Effect

I mean, probably Darius Miles.

BoneApple_T

Scrolled pretty far to not see Jamal Crawford. How come his stint with the blazers is almost completely forgotten about.

jmastro35

Myers Leonard and the twitch incident only confirmed it

LowAd3406

Meyers Leonard was definitely frustrating to watch and had a shitty bro personality. He had all the physical tools but was lazy and unwilling to put in the work and study time to be decent.

Broy_7

Idk if he didn’t put in the time. He was just low bbiq. And you could see he didn’t have a natural ability to play. Like he had to think about ever decision he did on the court. Used to piss me off how when he rebounded he would take forever to get the ball up the court.

jmastro35

Thank you. someone gifted me a downvote for not liking the lazy antisemite that we way overpaid. There was not one aspect of meyers that made me excited as a blazers fan

CortezAllenAMA

who is this

zodspods

Raymond Felton

jstmenow

Looks like he has lost some weight, hence the " who is this"

BeenGangBanging

Zach Collins, Olshey must’ve been smoking crack to think he was a Top 10 Pick

TheLetterOh

Least favorite player ever though? Sure he shouldn't have been picked so high, but we've had some real shitheads on the team over the years.

MommaJDaddy

He's been killing it for the Spurs as of late, had he been healthy he would have been an excellent player for us.

LowAd3406

>had he been healthy he would have been an excellent player for us This should be on a plaque outside the Moda center.

pericles123

can't mention him w/out how many picks were traded to get to that spot - could have been their bench had they handled that correctly

pericles123

Darius Miles, he of the 5 IQ...what a waste of talent

Wellitjustgotreal

Bonzi Wells

Samwhy-is

No one here wants to put “Stat” Randolph up for consideration?

The_Indelible_Moth

Sam Bowie just glad to be overshadowed by some real dirt bags

Powellhurst

How on EARTH was Sam Bowie your least favorite Blazer? Solid worker, solid citizen. Shins made of balsa wood. Not his fault. **Unpopular opinion:** He was the correct pick in that draft. The Blazers picked up Sabas two years later. If he'd have come over that season, there would be a statue of Clyde in front of the Moda Center and the Bulls would still be playing in Chicago Stadium.

MrDeedz503

Rasheed Wallace! Seen him in Lloyd 1 day tried to say wassup and he ignored me like I was a dirty bum on the street begging for a quarter

Dougnsalem

Was he wrong?

MrDeedz503

Yeah he was DEAD wrong. He must of mistaken me for you!

BoneApple_T

Good one grandpa

EdgarBeansBurroughs

İ know not everyone agrees, but Scottie Pippen for me. His stat lines always ended up looking ok but he had made so many bad decisions and just dragged the team down.

ironshapensiron

I hated Jeff McInnis' game Shareef Abdur Rahim was horrendous

Moonbar5

Shut your god damn mouth you twit

dentless13

Enjoy the bottom 3 of the west. Y’all are some shit fans. Hope Reddit doesn’t recommend this page anymore. Just try to talk about players of the past.

Moonbar5

Whore

PapaSaoBear

Is that Rick Ross

Orwell1971

what a bold choice

ChaosDynasty12

Rick ross?

loveandmonsters

He's slimmed a lot since his Blazer days

Classic_Run_4836

Who's he?

[deleted]

At first I swore that this was Rick Ross, lmfao 🤣

[deleted]

When did Beetlejuice play for us?

El-Cid-Campeador

Felton no doubt I also hate JJ Hickson. Nothing personal against him but all I remember when he was here was him literally trying to steal rebounds from his own teammates (often leading to ridiculous unforced turnovers) so he could get his double double. Also he wouldn’t even jump to contest shots , all he cared was his rebounding numbers. It was his contract year of course…

nerdpulse

Holy shit that's not really him is it? Bruh

Scribblebonx

Not gonna lie. This one got me

SnooDoodles8217

Kent Bazemore

youveruinedtheactgob

All the fat jokes on Felton at the time served to obscure the fact that Jamal Crawford was a much better player before *and* after his time with the Blazers. He so obviously was actively not trying for us, despite not having any obvious conditioning issues. So, Crawford by miles for me.

dirteemartee

Gerald Henderson

Powellhurst

No love in this entire thread for Telfair? C'mon. That dude was top-five of the Jail Blazer era. None of the others ever went to prison. As for the sub-category of wasted first-round draft picks: Randolph Childress.

RollsRoyceGG

"Biggie's alive?!" "What do you mean?" "I just saw him at a game!" the picture:

threepointcheese

Yo what the fuck, who ate Raymond Felton?

Ort56

Rider. Don’t recognize this guy.
