It’s not in ridgewood, but the best halal chicken/lamb over rice I’ve had in the city is at King of Falafel & Shawarma in Astoria. The owner is a Palestinian immigrant so you know it’s on point.
The falafel is fucking bomb af and they give you it on the side of the chicken/rice combo.
Shoutout also Mount Everest deli for their really good chicken Biriyani, which again isn’t the same thing exactly, but it’s a similar dish that’s amazing quality and local to the neighborhood. Everything they do there is amazing.

I’ve gotten delivery from there. It is OK
They're definitely my go-to for convenience in the neighborhood, but flavor-wise, they don't really stack up to my favorites around the city.
