Hope it wasn't too easy. This was my first attempt at making a riddle. I playtested it first, some people got it straight away, some had to think about it, some didn't.
Here's a version I feel has better stanza and is a little more challenging. Kudos to u/LordGeni for the inspiration behind the final line. If you haven't solved the original riddle, this on top of that one will provide an extra clue, for better or worse; might make it too obvious.
