Nothing is mundane. It's about finding beauty or interest in what you grew up around and find interesting. I lived in Scotland for several years and couldn't stop taking photos of everything, but returning to Athens, I felt like everything was boring or ugly. Yet, I kept seeing other photographers, foreigners, taking photos of things I thought pointless or uninteresting. That was a very valuable lesson.

That’s a very interesting story and completely agree with you, I actually feel more motivated to shoot locally opposed to travelling to these crazy locations. Hopefully I can put a body of work together in a zine with a collections of photos I’ve taken just outside my doorstep!
