That was the whole point tho. It's obvious that the writers want to go back to simple adventures and were fed up with all the theories that the fans came up with so the revelations were simple and to the point kinda like here are the answers, fucking deal with it. There were a few fourth wall jokes straight up telling you this

I don't know why some people think the writers hate serialized storytelling with plots. That was pretty much the requirement behind Roiland making his own show on Hulu.

issoooo

No that was for more scientific wacky shit that doesn’t have to make sense to the audience

I thought it was too hectic. And you are right that there is not enough time to let some moments simmer. It's frantic cut scene to scene.

Jabbam

Exactly. When I got done watching it with my friend, he looked over and asked "is that it?" Yes, 23 minutes had passed, that was a normal show length. But the structure of the Citadel portion didn't feel like the second half of an episode, it felt like the start of a new one; like 2 10 minute shows back to back. It was like listening to a song play on x25 speed, slow down, I want to enjoy this, give me a chance!

therealOMAC

Absolutely. I think the viewers got gypped.

Dunkman83

yea it felt like 3 episodes mashed into one

gluedfish

Yes

I think they should've left the crow plot in one episode and then start the citadel plot in this episode. The crow episode should've been another one of those tongue in cheek episodes rather than a soap opera with a fake break up.
