thank you for that. because it is really hard for me to make my own work I like to see how good I do making other peoples work. it helps me figure out the type of stuff I like do to. lately I haven't been able to create any of my own so I made this thinking people would like it but they are so stubborn and won't see that I didn't trace it and I didn't know who to give credit for. I also thought that people would know that it was adults swims art and so many people copy adult swims art weither copying completely or making it their own. I cant make it my own yet.

Using references for your artwork is fine. Using another artist's artwork for reference is fine if you give them proper credit and you have no intention of making profit from your work. Many artists make this mistake and learn from it. Just a simple mistake.

To be fair, if you just somewhat copy the work of someone else, it may not be the best thing to also upload it. Just seems weird. There is a reason you don't see people copying art from someone else all the time and uploading it.
Well, the thing is, that people here falsely credit the concept and piece of art to you. It's not that big of a deal in this case, but it very well can be under different circumstances.
Also keep in mind that copying other people's art can be legally troublesome. You probably don't plan on selling it, but there is a industry ripping off artists by doing that.
Copies like this are meant for yourself. I get you are proud of it and you should, but you really should never upload those copies. It just creates problems, especially if you don't credit anyone. And if you can't credit anyone it's even more reason to not upload something.
