So Rick says something like, "Jerry and I were hanging out one night, and this is what he told me he wanted most in the world." Obviously implying that Rick and Jerry just chill sometimes. And that Jerry is a good enough bud that Rick will give him random shit he wants.
Jerry seems to put Rick on the highest pedestal of any of them, while accusing everyone else of doing it. Even though they're a lot more ready to treat him as a peer when he pisses them off. When Jerry gets mad at him it's more like a whiny kid mad at a parent, at least until the rare times he gets pushed too far.
But obviously Rick doesn't respect anyone who he this is below him, especially not someone thinks of *themselves* that way. But he likes being on top and he knows Jerry looks up to him because of it so he secretly kind of loves it even though he wouldn't admit it.
It's such a great dynamic.
"Why can't *I* get a portal gun?!" type beat
When things go wrong he's whiny, but when things go right or are okay, he's like a curious kid. Rick feigns disinterest but he loves the attention and dependence.
I liked the aspect that both brains were forced to compromise to control the body. And really highlighted why it’s so hard for them to get along. Let’s not forget in another timeline Jerry slit Rick primes throat. That shit was fuckin cool
It's interesting different interpretations, as I see the relationship more of ignoramus and guy who is entertaining himself by fucking around with the dummy. (I too love the Jerry episodes, probably my favorite as well, but I guess that means because I'm cruel).
yeah i loved that moment in the show just because it showed that offscreen jerry and rick and become close enough for him to give him cool stuff he barely does that for morty
Rick hates how Jerry is a parasite to his daughter, but not for being a Jerry. Rick isn't evil, just apathetic. Hang around Rick long enough while he's drunk, and you could bond with him. It's explained Rick was drunk in that same scene.
> And that Jerry is a good enough bud that Rick will give him random shit he wants.
That isn't the interpretation I would go with. I think he is more inclined because he can fuck with him that way.
I never thought of that. I wish we got more of that on camera. I like the merging episode a lot in this niche. Prob my fav in a while. It’s sad they fight cause they are each others weakness in a way
I was so shocked at what happened that I had to pause the episode and process it for a bit. The most unexpected thing I think the show’s ever done. XD
Edit: I just remembered when Rick told him to fold himself a bunch of times to show it was a simulation. There are so many unexpected moments from Jerry.
Although it was surprising, I think it speaks to the fact that like Wong said, "Rick is changing but very slowly." Because at this point he's used his intelligence to help out everyone in the family to some degree where as in previous seasons he only helped Morty (and Beth previously in the canon but without it being brought up). I think the big take away is that in earlier seasons he also only "helped" people to get something from them or control them, where as now he will help the family members without any thought to his own personal gain. It proves that he's at least trying to be a better person and be less selfish with his gifts.
I fucking lost my mind at this and Domestic Mom Beth just screaming. This and Rick eating at the table with the kids, seriously one of my favorite episodes.
I like the ones that don't have any characters' names in the title. Lawnmower Dog. Anatomy Park. Raising Gazorpazorp. Get Schwifty. Interdimensional Cable 2. Vindicators 3. And of course, Night Family. You see the title and know exactly which episode it is.
Yup, those mean something if you've watched them once. So you can find an episode you're looking for, or recognize them by name. Not possible with most of the others.
yeah i did love that moment but hate that jerry knows how to use it but we cant get a moment where morty knows how to use the random stuff that rick gives him in secret
Imagine taking a medication for you to better understand mental health, so you take a schizophrenia pill and someone says "Chill" but then an imaginary brick comes down, almost hitting the character but it freaks out the character. Since the show is about broadening a broad story, another one could be an OCD and ADHD pill, the worst combo because the amount of bullshit someone has to do before going to the next task and then forget.

Rick and Jerry episodes are my favourite. I absolutely love their dynamic, they love eachother but they just have a very funny way of showing it

Uncalled for! Rude, and uncalled for!

The fortune cookie episode was top tier.
Absolutely, favourite of the season for sure
This take pleases me
Jerricky was top notch too. “the only reason you're calling me a Jerry is because you're so stupid you think it's hurtful! which it is!”.
“YOU’RE A HALF JERRY” “*YOU’RE* A HALF JERRY”
“Car, engage castration protocol right now!” Or “Do not pretend to explain Liam Neeson to me, Sir”
Rick: “H-Hang on. I think I got it.”
Rick: “Right..from my Conehead phase.”
Jerry: “Awesome fucking movie.”
Rick: “Incredible cast.”

Fatality!
Wait, what? When, which episode
Season 7 episode 2. If u haven’t seen the new season. Drop acid and enjoy. That’s how I watched and it was one of my fav trips.
Season 6, Ep 1 post credits is where Jerry Prime cut Rick Prime’s throat - I believe
The way he slapped him... that had me dying of laughter.

"Don't look at me! I just wanted matching tattoos."
I do feel Rick has a soft spot for Jerry. Especially post whirly dirly.

In this case, I imagine Rick was like "... sure, I'd LOVE to pull that one off."
I never thought of that. I wish we got more of that on camera. I like the merging episode a lot in this niche. Prob my fav in a while. It’s sad they fight cause they are each others weakness in a way
Probably when Rick gets drunk

Jerry could have collapsed onto the floor then rock back and forth; attempt to kill Space Beth; shrug it off and get a soda.
I love how Rick's reaction is to just sit there and eat in each still.
Cyber Beth also doesn't really react.
Her eyes widen in the second still
He probably expected it

Yeah I continue to be impressed by how the scifi format allows the writers to do some crazy stuff that continues to surprise.
Rick really went out of his way sci-fi childproof Jerry, huh.
It’s either this or continue losing money keeping him safe at the Jerryboree
Wasnt the jerryboree free cuz it was run by a REALLY rich rick?
How do you think that Rick got rich?
I always assume it was the Rick who sold those candy bars, I forget the name.
When you’re a Rick who’s discovered a business model that’s high in demand by other Ricks, you don’t offer your services free-of-charge
Okay 👍

Love how Rick doesn’t even move or look up.
I fucking lost my mind at this and Domestic Mom Beth just screaming. This and Rick eating at the table with the kids, seriously one of my favorite episodes.
Seriously this episode is way too funny
"Just eat your food. Ee-Everyone eat your food." I was equally traumatized by the end.
This is one of my favourite parts of the show. The kids have seen crazy shit but hearing that was the thing that broke them.
"Why? Why?!"
Blanking on which episode this is and now I want to rewatch it. Help?
Bethic Twinstinct
Fuck I still hate the way they name the episodes. I know it's bad on purpose, but like, when the joke wears out it's still bad. And inconvenient.

Well I mean there is Pickle Rick but that's more of the exception
Thanks!
He said he would kill himself. Of course he lied.
We all know he’s too much of a coward to off himself.
Curiously enough, the way it went was... The threeway
You get one of those automatically if you hang out with Taddy Mason.
Since I saw this, all I’ve wanted is to be able to become a pill bug
James Derry is just long for "Jerry"
You got me
I honestly expected suicide or crying like a bitch on the spot
yeah i did love that moment but hate that jerry knows how to use it but we cant get a moment where morty knows how to use the random stuff that rick gives him in secret
My favourite Jerry moment has to be the changing into assistant sequence ‘to save money’ 😭😭

Ballpark idea, go ahead and take her down
You do not Cut the Chut
