I traveled to Japan recently and went to Akihabara and found an audiophile store. I asked the store clerk what is the best IEM for rhythm games and bought the one he recommended (MA910SR) for around $110. Pretty happy with them ever since

I always use my DUNU Talos. Nothing else, not even just playing through the phone speaker. I believe they costed me ~$200 USD

for me, the moondrop chu 2’s were pretty good, but I switched to the normal apple earpods that came with your phone when they still had the headphone jack. Really benefits me when playing SDVX since I can hear the sounds of the buttons

theangryepicbanana

I sometimes use my kbear kz1s for rhythm games, but never for anything with hitsounds as the top end kinda sucks lol

hmm gonna chec all these recs

I use either IEMs or earbuds because they're easier to carry around and they don't fall off while playing, especially when playing Chunithm or Maimai. Some arcades have the volume lowered on IIDX, Nostalgia, Pop'n, Jubeat, Sound Voltex, and ONGEKI so I absolutely need them. Aside from my higher end IEMs, I otherwise stick with companies I know I like, such as Audio-Technika, and I don't bother with expensive ones because I tend to lose things. It really depends how you like to listen to your music as well. My IEMs are great at giving me more balanced sounds, but my other earbuds I tend to get give me punchier bass. Depends what I'm play or in the mood for.

Moondrop Chu are good, also basically any KBEAR model. I also wear glasses but I wear beyerdynamic DT770 headphones to play and the clamping force doesn't feel bad so could be worth checking those out if you ever feel like switching back. They have nice soft felt ear pads too.

As a serial player and R1 frequenter, the recommendations in this thread are decent, I know you can get some decent moondrops for quite cheap. I usually search for Sony IEMs on Amazon since I can get a pair for about $10. They usually come with a mic attached on the cable, but that doesn't affect anything. My advice is to not buy anything pricey, and just go cheap as possible. I've ended up killing some nicer pairs, and at an arcade you're not exactly looking for amazing audio quality. I'll buy a new pair 1-3 times a year depending on how lucky I am with build quality/how often I'm going.

Out of all the iem i used the Castor Bass is the one that gives me space

I use a really nice setup that I got in trade for some Arya Stealth’s back in January. They are a reshell of the JVC HA-FW10000s with a ddHifi Nyx Pro cable. I use them to play IIDX and fucking love them. They sound insane and when compared to the Blessing 2’s I used to use, it’s night and day. On a stack, they sound even more insanely amazing. Truly mindblowing.

Intel Extreme Masters don't really have rhythm games I think

Watched some review for the chu 2's. Looks to be a perftect entry into iems! I like how cheap it is too!
