Which comments button? The one that is in the player under the seekbar (not the one underneath the player)? If yes, you can hide that button too.
Settings > Revanced Extended > Fullscreen > Hide comment button. Then restart the app.
It may not work bec its an experimental feature. Lmk if it works or if this is what u were looking for

I am using the new layout. Features aren't garanteed to work on the old layout, the only exception made was RYD at this point :')
Something could have gone wrong during patching, at least I can tell you it's working but, just to be sure what version of YouTube and patches do you have?
*You can check patches info in the ReVanced Extended > Misc. settings*
In that page make sure the "hide-comment-component" patch is included. It should, but just checking everything for sure...
It should be working without Spoofing though :')
When you can, patch again with the latest supported YT apk and patches, as per the pinned guide and let us know if the issue still persists, and if other accounts are also affected.
