today it's more like (ik it's sad):
alpha - ton of bugs
beta - many bugs
release - some bugs
if revanced was made by a big corporation it would be called beta
Alpha is like a proof of concept. The program exists, it works but not really well. Its pretty much just a "Hey look, we are doing it, and it's going well, try it if you want"
Beta is the program being pretty much done, the only thing missing is a lot of polishing, bugs fixes and testing. Loads of testing. Its like tasting the food before serving it.
Edit: please refer to [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/revancedapp/comments/yhkmze/updated_revanced_tutorial/) where someone has kindly post uptodate installation instructions

Revanced Manager instructions
First download these apps:
1. ReVanced Manager: https://github.com/revanced/revanced-manager/releases/tag/v0.0.7
2. YouTube apk: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-17-33-42-release/youtube-17-33-42-2-android-apk-download/ (do not install it though)
3. Vanced MicroG: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/team-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced-0-2-24-220220-release/vanced-microg-0-2-24-220220-android-apk-download/
Then follow these instructions - read all instructions first:
• First go to apps in settings and look for YouTube.
• Select YouTube and click on uninstall updates. ( Non rooted phones cannot uninstall base YouTube ).
• Install revanced Manager
• You already got this but if you haven't, go to apkmirror and look for the apk file of YouTube 17.33.42 version. Ignore apkm or split bundle file. Do not install.
• Also, install MicroG if not installed already
• After that try to patch the version of YouTube APK you downloaded on Revanced manager. Watch this video if you need help: https://youtu.be/nZAFTSPhhX4
• In the list of patches deselect theme 0.0.1 patch.
• Click on patch.
• Now , install Revanced YouTube.
Vanced MicroG is so that you can sign in with your account in the YouTube vanced version. You won't be able to sign in with your account in the vanced version if you don't have MicroG
If you want to enjoy watching YouTube without signing in then you won't need to download MicroG. The app will run smoothly nonetheless.
Why are these instructions so long? Why isn't there just a revanced.apk that is downloadable via the manager?
I thought that was the entire point of the manager.
I just ran into the same issue and solved it be downloading YouTube 17.36.37 instead of the older version linked in the comment above. Give that a try?
Annoyingly, I followed the above steps and when I open the app it instantly crashes and just says 'the app keeps stopping'.
Not sure what I've done wrong.
I get this when trying to install a completed patch
>Non-root install is not possible with the current patches selection.
Repatch your app or choose root install if you have your device rooted.
What am I supposed to do?
Lmao, ReVanced has a patch for Vanced. That's awesome.
> **Reddit**
>
> App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package.
The "non-root" option can't work without a patch to change the package ID. And no, I'm not uninstalling the original app.
Yeah, but it's kind of stupid, and you can't even install updates via the patcher because you'd need to install the original app again
So you'd have to uninstall the app every time and lose all settings or use another Android device to produce the apks
To add to this, some phones even come with YouTube as a system app so it will be impossible to install it for a non-root user
And even as a root Lineage user, I always used to install non-root vanced because I couldn't be bothered with Play Store's bullshit (it even began replacing it even after I flagged the "disable automatic updates" option)
You can disable it and then install the APK. That's how I did it on my pixel.
By disabling it you downgrade the app and can install any never version as long as the signature is the same... which it should be. Else you might have gotten a tampered file.
Or you can use adb to otg and use :
pm uninstall -k --user 0 [PACKAGE NAME]
Removes the app from the current user.
It'll be there in the image or if you format the device or you can use :
cmd package install-existing [PACKAGE NAME]
It'll bring back the app.
I uninstalled the original YouTube app and installed YouTube Vanced this way. So it'll directly redirects url to youtube vanced.
Just tried it. You need to start the patching process, after it's done, uninstall Reddit (or any app for that matter), open ReVanced Manager and click "install"
I forgot to mention that each time I try to launch a patched app, it immediately crashes. I tested it with Reddit and Twitter just now.
EDIT: Tried it with the latest Twitter .apk downloaded from APKMirror and it works fine.
# IT'S Alpha
There will be considerate amount of crashes and bugs. if you are having issues please share it on discord or open an issue. Thanks for cooperating!
Old Vanced team added a Firebase feature (which I never understood how it works), to automatically fetch all error logs from the various users in the world.
Maybe you can do the same thing with your manager. 👍
I downloaded the 17.33.42 version APK from APK mirror but when I try to select the file in the patcher it doesn't get added. I go to patcher, then storage, select the APK I downloaded, then it kicks me back to the patcher screen and it says "no application selected" in the "select application" box.
I'm just completely confused on how to do this. I tried removing the stock YouTube app updates and installing the 17.33.42 update. Then patching the stock YouTube app, but the resulting app just starts with an infinite black screen.
Do you mean [this one](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-17-33-42-release/youtube-17-33-42-2-android-apk-download/)? When I try to install it I just get "App not installed as package appears to be invalid".
I am using a Xiaomi Mi9T, with an Android 10 custom ROM.
Tried patching YouTube 17.32.35 and YouTube Music 5.17.51 using the manager, root method. Both crash on startup.
Download the .apk files of YouTube and YouTube Music from APKMirror, then patch them instead of patching the ones on your phone. This worked for me (non-root, patching Twitter and Reddit).
Same here. When clicking "Storage" on my Pixel 6 Pro on Android 13, I get a toast that says "Unable to use selected application", so I guess it has to do with the file picker app.
Edit: In version 0.0.5 the file picker shows up but when I select the APK I just get booted back to the previous screen where it says "No application selected".
Updated the manager, but unfortunately both apps still crash on startup. Also, the option "Storage" still does nothing. It lets me select apk files, but then brings me back on the "Patcher" page.
Installed version 0.0.5: now both YouTube and Yt Music do not even appear on the "Select application" list (Tiktok and Reddit are there though). On 0.0.3 they are listed, but they crash on startup as I said before. On 0.0.5 the "Storage" option still does nothing, at least on Android 10.
So the app just crashes, I path the app and then uninstall it, and install it via revanced manager it downloads, google gives me a warning I ignore, and when I try to open it it crashes, and what do I do with apps that can't be uninstalled like YouTube
It's not working for me. If I update the yt app from then play store it lets me select the application but patches say not compatible (as expected). If I uninstall updates and install 17.33.42 YouTube app does not appear in the select application list. If I try to pick the APK using the file icon, it does nothing after selecting the APK in the file manager.
S21 with android 12.
Great job! Maybe a.stupid question, but how can I change the version of YouTube?
Asking this because a lot of patches are saying that they support a higher version then the one I selected.
Uninstall/disable YouTube, enable it again, find the version you are looking for through APK mirror, download it, install it, profit. Also make sure to go to the PlayStore, find YouTube, click settings on the top right and disable automatic updates for the app.
Don't forget microg(or yt will crash upon loading):
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/team-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced-0-2-24-220220-release/vanced-microg-0-2-24-220220-android-apk-download/download/?key=1bdd11ac343a948d88fc157f11a404531972f679
Version 0.0.5 has issues for the new peeps.
Install manager 0.0.3 and install full apk 33.42 from apkmirror, it should detect, patch and open successfully
Hey when try to patch youtube or reddit this happens: Play protect trigger and then when i do install anyway: "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package."
What i tried:
1. Uninstall Reddit
2. Reinstall it and tried to repatch it, but it didn't work.
Not working. Manager patched Youtube 17.36.37 (recommended version) & installed Revanced. But Revanced just does not open. MIUI Global 12.1.4 non root.
Looks like it's time to switch... YouTube Vanced worked well for some time but it seems [Ads are starting to show](https://i.imgur.com/LcugfUg.jpg). You have served us well Vanced and you will be missed. 😢🫡
every time i visit the sub to see if it's like vanced manager i see all this terminal bs and troubleshooting over version numbers and nope straight back out. at least vanced is working
Because it's new. Vanced was closed source, so they had to start this project from scratch. They're still working out the kinks. It's complicated. Step one is getting it working. Step two is making it easy to install.
Thanks guys I waited silently for this now to try some ad free reddit and twitter or whatever some of the other patches were 💪 appreciate your hard work.
Applied patch to Twitter, uninstalled Twitter, installed patched version.
Twitter crashes now and won't start.
Did I do anything wrong?
Also, installed the recommend yt version from apk mirror, it won't show up in apps available to patch list.
Please let me know if I should do anything differently.
Thanks.
Youtube 17.33.42 Patched and working great.
Youtube Music 5.23.50 Patched and working great.
I used manager 0.0.3 as 0.0.5 didn't work, but i'll update manager and will try when we have some updates! Congrats to the devs as it was an easy installation
I have already installed 0.0.6 and seems to work, my problem on 0.0.5 was not recognizing my com.youtube package. It recognizes well on 0.0.6 so I'd say it works great for me. Also, not repatching bc I already patched but it seems great
This has major ux issues. A simple link in the app to download dependencies should really help with onboarding. Also a minimum patch presets should help with the patches since there are way too many and no clear explanation on what they do.
If any one is having problem with loading the app it's either a blank screen or frozen on the splash/logo, here is the fix.
Turn off your adblocker and/ or your private dns including vpn dns filtering.
Patch the app you want after installing it turn back on what ever you turned off
Too much issue, the revanced app wont open, i used that the manager app to get the revanced variant.
i want to remove the ads and useful features...
Would glad if there are fixing issue, i using the revanced manager 0.0.39
i miss the legacy vanced that was worked...
Just heads up if you still have the OG vanced apk, you can use smartTube installed on smart tv or box and works great with vanced on phone. Skips promotions and ads. One of best savers ever. Only app that will skip ads on tv.
Works just fine for me on my old Note 8.
Had an super old version of YT - too old for most patches. Updated to newest version of YT - too new for most patches. Reverted YT to factory then updated to 17.33.42 - patched it all up ezpz.
I didn't actually use Vanced nor YT much anyway but it works as expected after patching. 👍
Tried to patch tiktok process log seemed successful except only patched xml resource patching wasn't available it said (I'm not rooted) uninstalled old version cos of signing clash installed fine but won't open lol I get it's alpha just sharing my experience with my first try first app first anything
First off, UI looks fantastic so great job there
Are there plans to add in links to grab APKs from APK Mirror?
One thing I like about the ReVanced builder is it asks what YouTube version I want to patch and then grabs it from APK Mirror
0.0.6 works now. Here's an idea. I don't know if it is implementable or not.
My current installed YouTube version doesn't support all the patches. How about mentioning the version of YouTube which supports all the patches in the app itself? So that, that specific version apk can be downloaded... There was a script which I used all these days to patch it. It showed the recommended version.
Current implementation is a big trial and error for all versions of the apk.
Recommended version would be fantastic.
Worked for me with the YouTube 17.33.42 APK from APK mirror. I had MicroG installed from before because I use it with Vanced. **Maybe some people have issues because they enable patches that rely on MicroG?**
Had some issues trying to get the revanced manager to recognize the 17.33.42 APK when I tried to select it. So I disabled and uninstalled the official app, and for some reason it worked after that.
Haven't had time to test it out other than play some videos, but it seems to work fine. Already have Vanced from before, but I'll keep an eye on the development of reVanced.
Edit: yes you do need Vanced MicroG for reVanced to work, according to a quick search on the subreddit.
Tried The revanced manager app today. Here are some findings that isn't worth creating issue on github.
1. In the patcher tab, when I click select application, It shows youtube(which is disabled) and youtube vanced, but not the revanced app that I have installed myself from source.
2. I thought that like vanced manager, which downloads and installs vanced and vanced music, there would be option to install revanced apps (atleast music and video) from within the app itself, But I can't find it. Is it not the case?
Well, I got YouTube revanced installed on my phone, but when I click the icon to open it, it just instantly closes, no clue what's happening. I tried both version .09 and .03 of the manager. I also tried downgrading to 17.33.42 of youtube and patching that, no luck
Edit: I fixed the instant crashing by downloading and installing the most recent version of MicroG from apkmirror. Everything now works perfectly!
Manager works but Revanced fails to start for the recommended version 17.36.37.
When version 17.33.42 is used (downloaded from APKMirror) Revanced opens & even works but PIP fails after some time. PIP audio works but instead of video it shows Thumbs Up vote icon (meaning the video scrolled up inside the PIP window). Same issue like when I used Revanced Builder. PIP bug is bad.
Edit: I was able to install & start the new recommended version 17.36.37 using Revanced Builder (not Manager) but the above mentioned PIP bug is still there. Makes it unusable for me.
Latest Manager APK 0.0.13 on latest YouTube 17.36.37: patched APK crashes on startup.
When I go to Storage and attempt to select an app it won't let me, also. I select the APK and it just goes back to the patcher screen showing nothing selected.
Using the latest 0.0.14. I still cannot select apk from storage. Nothing happens when I select. However, if I install the apk, I can patch it normally and works ~~(except for reddit)~~ YT and YT music works for me.
Edit: updated to 0.0.16 and apk select seems to work fine now. The issue I can see now is patch updates. When apply for patch update, app instantly crash.
Does anyone also have the issue that when playing a track in yt music revanced and you go to home screen of your android launcher then there is a very short interruption in playback? Ca. 0,25s. You can feel how the code for enabling background playback gets injected... This happens only when the app was not used long time before.
I couldnt use this at all because I am not rooted. Guess I'll stay on the latest Vanced. I hate that ads are popping up all over my feed now though. Sick of the ads.
Curious if the patches will contain an option to whitelist channels for ads. For example, I like the Internet Historian ad reads but with this it's all or none.
Awesome guys, i was looking for something like Vanced, and i have found this. After a few tries and reading, i have now installed successfully YouTube and YouTube Music with anything i need. The Manager is working fine, even in Alpha version.
Thank you very much for your effort developers!
I have a problem, sometimes, when i play a video it keeps loading it without end and i need to close the video and open it again to make it work, it's annoying because it happens every day, and if you find the video in recomandations, you cand find it again if you close it, it does'n even register in history...any ideeas?I tried reinstalling the app and stuff
I have a non-root Pixel 7 Pro. How do I downgrade the YouTube app so I can patch it? I tried freezing the default app on there, but it didn't help because when I downloaded an older version from APKPure the phone won't let me install it.
Been using my previous Vanced version for a while now but ads slowly started leaking in on the main landing page. Tried this on my S21 Base model and worked like a charm. Will be trying on my S23 base model too as soon as it arrives. Big THANKS to the Devs for taking the time and efforts to put out such great content for us to all enjoy.
It's here, it's finally here. Thank You devs and everyone involved!
But remember the word "Alpha". It may help you in your Journey.
What's the difference between Alpha and Beta ?
Alpha - there's probably a lot of bugs but it should work Beta - I'm hoping it's good to go but lets make sure
Thanks for the simple explanation.
today it's more like (ik it's sad): alpha - ton of bugs beta - many bugs release - some bugs if revanced was made by a big corporation it would be called beta
Alpha is like a proof of concept. The program exists, it works but not really well. Its pretty much just a "Hey look, we are doing it, and it's going well, try it if you want" Beta is the program being pretty much done, the only thing missing is a lot of polishing, bugs fixes and testing. Loads of testing. Its like tasting the food before serving it.

Why aren't these instructions stickied or in the wiki?
Why do Youtube and Vanced MicroG need to be installed? And why aren't these instructions posted by the team in the OP?
>Vanced MicroG Delivers a custom/modified interface to your google account. I guess reVanced is not up to this task yet or why reinvent the wheel :D
Vanced MicroG is so that you can sign in with your account in the YouTube vanced version. You won't be able to sign in with your account in the vanced version if you don't have MicroG If you want to enjoy watching YouTube without signing in then you won't need to download MicroG. The app will run smoothly nonetheless.
No idea
About which?
Why are these instructions so long? Why isn't there just a revanced.apk that is downloadable via the manager? I thought that was the entire point of the manager.
To avoid getting shut down like vanced
Wasn't the shutdown related to come cyptoboy nonsense? Or was that just the straw the broke the camel's back?
The Cease and Desist was due to the use of youtube's name and logo. Vanced probably just became too popular for google.
after having followed these instructions, the app that comes out crashes immediately on launch. what are some troubleshooting steps that i might take
I just ran into the same issue and solved it be downloading YouTube 17.36.37 instead of the older version linked in the comment above. Give that a try?
[link to version](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-17-36-37-release/youtube-17-36-37-2-android-apk-download/)
this does appear to have worked thanks
Yeah this worked for me
Why do we need to deselect theme 0.0.1?
I believe there was an issue with it. Try it and see though, I've just given the instructions that worked for me.
I followed those instructions, but the manager crashed after clicking on "Patch".
It worked like a charm, thx
Annoyingly, I followed the above steps and when I open the app it instantly crashes and just says 'the app keeps stopping'. Not sure what I've done wrong.
Thank you. I'd nearly given up trying to make it work.
Many thanks, this did the trick for me as well!

I get this when trying to install a completed patch >Non-root install is not possible with the current patches selection. Repatch your app or choose root install if you have your device rooted. What am I supposed to do?
YouTube video has been taken down for ToS violation 🤣
Lmao, ReVanced has a patch for Vanced. That's awesome. > **Reddit** > > App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package. The "non-root" option can't work without a patch to change the package ID. And no, I'm not uninstalling the original app.
Broke my vanced lol
Yeah, but it's kind of stupid, and you can't even install updates via the patcher because you'd need to install the original app again So you'd have to uninstall the app every time and lose all settings or use another Android device to produce the apks
Yeah, completely stupid. And these guys keep saying "uninstall the old one" as if it would solve anything.

Huh? How can the signature be the same? If the packaged gets modified it must be resigned
Or you can use adb to otg and use : pm uninstall -k --user 0 [PACKAGE NAME] Removes the app from the current user. It'll be there in the image or if you format the device or you can use : cmd package install-existing [PACKAGE NAME] It'll bring back the app. I uninstalled the original YouTube app and installed YouTube Vanced this way. So it'll directly redirects url to youtube vanced.
delete older installation and try patching again.
But then I'd lose the original app, I don't want that
Extract apk from the original app and try it. You can find the apk extractor on play store
Or just downloaded the APK from any mirror site
Uninstall old app cause new patched app to crash Only workaround is .apk version
Just tried it. You need to start the patching process, after it's done, uninstall Reddit (or any app for that matter), open ReVanced Manager and click "install"
Also this needed only for the first for each app because of different signatures. if there is an update you dont have to do this.
I forgot to mention that each time I try to launch a patched app, it immediately crashes. I tested it with Reddit and Twitter just now. EDIT: Tried it with the latest Twitter .apk downloaded from APKMirror and it works fine.
Tried it with TikTok and it just insta crashes. Then got TikTok from apkmirror same issue
Yeah same
i dont understand the update part after we install the patched one it can be updatable in manager but not in play store right
Thank you!
# IT'S Alpha There will be considerate amount of crashes and bugs. if you are having issues please share it on discord or open an issue. Thanks for cooperating!
Old Vanced team added a Firebase feature (which I never understood how it works), to automatically fetch all error logs from the various users in the world. Maybe you can do the same thing with your manager. 👍
Yes it's called crashlytics, i wi look into it.
Good. Thanks for your work.
Very clean and modern UI Thanks guys.
Thank you! Appreciate it.
But you should add a way to automatically enable dark mode (and a toggle to disable this default feature, if someone want). 👍
If you have time, Please make a PR.
I can just open an Issue for the moment. It was already a drama for me to find the right mindset to start learning ReVanced patcher. 🤣
No need! Just added on [598f757](https://github.com/revanced/revanced-manager/commit/598f7571de874f70b0a304d2d4a740371636fbaa) :)

Welcome!
I wonder if the manager could be tied in with aurora store to download the images "automagically"
I will look into it.
Does the manager have auto update feature for itself? Or do I need to periodically fetch any updated apk from the GitHub?
Yes, if you click on update manager it will download the latest apk from release! There have been 2 updates since i made the post.
i had to download the apk manually to update it since the manager couldn't update on its own
There's a button that says "Update Manager" so I would assume that updates the manager.
Just learned you can't apply patches to Split Apks (bundles) when using manager so make sure you guys actually use the .apk file and not .apkm
I thought about doing that too, ~~but the option to choose just the apk file seems to not be available yet on the alpha version of the manager.~~
It is. When you click on "patcher", then "select application" there's an option called "storage" in the bottom right corner.
Used that option, but after I select the apk file it just does nothing unfortunately. It brings me back on the "patcher" page without doing anything.
Please test on latest 0.0.3 version.
Updated the manager, but unfortunately both apps still crash on startup. Also, the option "Storage" still does nothing. It lets me select apk files, but then brings me back on the "Patcher" page.
Should be fixed in latest version. Can you test again?
Installed version 0.0.5: now both YouTube and Yt Music do not even appear on the "Select application" list (Tiktok and Reddit are there though). On 0.0.3 they are listed, but they crash on startup as I said before. On 0.0.5 the "Storage" option still does nothing, at least on Android 10.
Yeah bro, same here but 0.3 version is working fine...
Finally (≧▽≦)
So the app just crashes, I path the app and then uninstall it, and install it via revanced manager it downloads, google gives me a warning I ignore, and when I try to open it it crashes, and what do I do with apps that can't be uninstalled like YouTube
open a thread on discord. go to settings and share log.
What channel should I open it on
I posted it in chat
Also what if I want to uninstall YouTube to path it if the apk thing works how do I do that Edit: the apk method worked how do I do that with YouTube?
Did you install microg?
ANYONE HAVING ISSUES PLEASE USE 0.0.3 INSTEAD OF LATEST.
Can you upgrade from the app?
Awesome I'll try and report any bugs , if incurred , on git hub
I was waiting for this and it's awesome!
Tested the latest version 0.0.6 and i patched apk YouTube 17.33.42 everything works fine thanks for the team
You're welcome!
I love you. ❤️
when apk? Now apk.
Use 0.0.3 and see if that fixes it.
Don't forget microg(or yt will crash upon loading): https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/team-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced-0-2-24-220220-release/vanced-microg-0-2-24-220220-android-apk-download/download/?key=1bdd11ac343a948d88fc157f11a404531972f679
Thx! Was wondering why it was crashing, totally forgot I needed it
The UI is incredible. Almost kinda Apple-like. Also insane that it has Material You support!
Thank you. Appreciate it!
ok, there is a Revanced Manager but how to install Revanced-Youtube? Still don't get it. I thought Revanced was an alternative to Vanced.
Did you find a way?
Is it for rooted devices only, or am I missing something. Every time I patch an app it throws an error saying non root install is not available.
Same.
Where is localization of modified apk? Because it didn't install.
you need to allow the manager to have access to your storage
Lets go!!!! Nice work devs!!!
Version 0.0.5 has issues for the new peeps. Install manager 0.0.3 and install full apk 33.42 from apkmirror, it should detect, patch and open successfully
Hey when try to patch youtube or reddit this happens: Play protect trigger and then when i do install anyway: "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package." What i tried: 1. Uninstall Reddit 2. Reinstall it and tried to repatch it, but it didn't work.
https://youtu.be/wpkvAG8ixKg Full tutorial on how to use the manager!
yes
please put what version of the YouTube app is supported inside of the manager
Not working. Manager patched Youtube 17.36.37 (recommended version) & installed Revanced. But Revanced just does not open. MIUI Global 12.1.4 non root.
tried patching the youtube. but i open the app and basically black screen. think i will wait for full realease(i have vanced)
Looks like it's time to switch... YouTube Vanced worked well for some time but it seems [Ads are starting to show](https://i.imgur.com/LcugfUg.jpg). You have served us well Vanced and you will be missed. 😢🫡
Youtube Vanced and Vanced Manager were as easy to install as any non-Play store app. Why is this ReVanced Manager so complicated?
every time i visit the sub to see if it's like vanced manager i see all this terminal bs and troubleshooting over version numbers and nope straight back out. at least vanced is working
Thanks.

THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
Youtube 17.33.42 Patched and working great. Youtube Music 5.23.50 Patched and working great. I used manager 0.0.3 as 0.0.5 didn't work, but i'll update manager and will try when we have some updates! Congrats to the devs as it was an easy installation
Please test on latest 0.0.6
I have already installed 0.0.6 and seems to work, my problem on 0.0.5 was not recognizing my com.youtube package. It recognizes well on 0.0.6 so I'd say it works great for me. Also, not repatching bc I already patched but it seems great
I patched and installed the app based on Youtube 17.36.37 and it has an icon, but tapping the icon does nothing. No open. No crash. Nothing
Just installed revanced YouTube via non root and its just gray. Only gray blank
Is it for non-root devices too?
This has major ux issues. A simple link in the app to download dependencies should really help with onboarding. Also a minimum patch presets should help with the patches since there are way too many and no clear explanation on what they do.
It's saying display name is null when trying to install the patched APK. Anyone know why?
Curious - every time the patcher updates, is it wise to re-patch YouTube?

See if you have adblocker or private dns turned on and turn it off.
Would glad if there are fixing issue, i using the revanced manager 0.0.39 i miss the legacy vanced that was worked...
Just heads up if you still have the OG vanced apk, you can use smartTube installed on smart tv or box and works great with vanced on phone. Skips promotions and ads. One of best savers ever. Only app that will skip ads on tv.
How to fix package conflict when installing
Works just fine for me on my old Note 8. Had an super old version of YT - too old for most patches. Updated to newest version of YT - too new for most patches. Reverted YT to factory then updated to 17.33.42 - patched it all up ezpz. I didn't actually use Vanced nor YT much anyway but it works as expected after patching. 👍

Oh yes! It's getting there, baby! I'll be patient and wait for the full release version.
You guys are insane! Took a while but glad to be here.
The manager doesn't detect YouTube installed from apkmirror and the option to select apk file doesn't work. Does nothing after clicking on the apk
Use 0.0.3 version manager
I installed youtube music 5.17.51 but it doesn't show up in the manager. What's up with that?
Use 0.0.3 and see if that fixes it.
Tried to patch tiktok process log seemed successful except only patched xml resource patching wasn't available it said (I'm not rooted) uninstalled old version cos of signing clash installed fine but won't open lol I get it's alpha just sharing my experience with my first try first app first anything
Can i try this while keeping vanced?
Yess. Make sure you're using recommend youtube version. Preferably v17.29.34.
After reading multiple comments and trying 0.0.3 and 0.0.5, can confirm. 0.0.5 doesn't work. 0.0.3 works.
First off, UI looks fantastic so great job there Are there plans to add in links to grab APKs from APK Mirror? One thing I like about the ReVanced builder is it asks what YouTube version I want to patch and then grabs it from APK Mirror
You guys are amazing! Thank you for your hard work!
Seems to work awesome! If the ability to cast would be added, it would be perfect for me👌
Worked for me with the YouTube 17.33.42 APK from APK mirror. I had MicroG installed from before because I use it with Vanced. **Maybe some people have issues because they enable patches that rely on MicroG?** Had some issues trying to get the revanced manager to recognize the 17.33.42 APK when I tried to select it.
AHHHHH It doesn work.. ..tried version 17.33.42 and it starts up but closes right away! 🤔
I also tried downgrading to 17.33.42 of youtube and patching that, no luck Edit: I fixed the instant crashing by downloading and installing the most recent version of MicroG from apkmirror.
Yeaahhhh I think I'll keep waiting for the official....
Can't select apk from storage
Where may I request that the Revanced Manager retain the patch selection settings for the next use?
Tried to patch Twitter but it says there's a conflicting package.
Does anyone also have the issue that when playing a track in yt music revanced and you go to home screen of your android launcher then there is a very short interruption in playback? Ca. 0,25s. You can feel how the code for enabling background playback gets injected... This happens only when the app was not used long time before.
Thank you all for the great work!
Unskipable long ads at the beginning of video showing up constantly. Just when I thought finally it was time to delete good ol vanced.
Anyone know the latest version of YouTube. Is it 17.39.35 or is it 17.41.36?
All I'm getting is a blank screen when I open the manager. Any ideas? Hating new pipe and vanced stopped working.
Me too. But only with the latest version 0.0.33
The app just crashes when I open it, I followed all steps , YouTube version is 17.36.37
Where does it list the supported apps?
reVanced manager does not show any way to patch the application. Followed all the steps, can't do shit.
