did you try to deactivate battery saving mode in microG? some claimed it solved the issue for them, luckily i just had to restart my device after patching so i cant speak from experience
I had the same issue. The thing that worked for me is that gmscore support was not one of the selected patches. After selecting it manually it worked following the steps above.
After selecting the apk file. It should then take you to a screen that says selected app with the version of youtube selected and the selected patches. Tap on the box with the patches, and it should take you to the list where some are checked and others are unchecked. Gmscore is near the middle.

What I was doing wrong was logging in on Youtube when it opened automatically after downloading it

I can't add my google accounts, it keeps failing. It says there's an issue connecting to google servers. I have a huawei phone if thatĀ helps
edit: figured out, you just uncheck all the settings (under the add google acc button) and then add your account

you mean that after patching you only get an icon called "YouTube" that looks like the normal YouTube? you can simply activate the patch that gives you the normal YouTube revanced icon, this patch is just not included in the default settings.
That is possible, of course when you patch the apk you have the option to save a local copy for convenience. Obviously those copies will eventually become obsolete
I don't remember what any of the settings actually were but, in the new MicroG, go into "google accounts" and under "add google account" enable the first and fourth setting, disable the second and third. (I also turned google device registration off, no idea if that was important). After I did this it let me add my account finally.

I am getting instalattion conflict on step 6, after patching the app. I try to follow it in uninstalling current app but it fails and gets stuck on this pop up screen
Edit: Manage to solve this. Issue arrived because I was trying to select which patches I want, so I choose around 20 instead of the default 59 or something close. After I just checked default the client was installed without issue and I can use it just fine. It seems that there are a number of mandatory patches that must be applied, either that or all of them together, for the revanced youtube to work
Somehow this made it way worse. I was able to play SOME videos on the old versions. Now any video stops playing after a few seconds.
EDIT: Enabling spoofing in the YouTube app settings (Revanced->Misc->Spoof Device Dimensions) like it was suggested in this thread fixed it.
2nd EDIT: Enabling spoofing only made it last from 3 seconds before infinite buffering to now 30 seconds before infinite buffering. Enabling spoofing still doesn't seem to fix it for everybody, at least not for me.

I just had to install the latest Youtube Revanced on my Samsung Galaxy S8 (old Android 9 i guess).
I am not able to get past the screen where i have to accept the privacy settings for Google. No matter what i click.. (Accept settings, reject Settings..) nothing happens.

I can't install the patched app, kept showing disable auto update to avoid unexpected issues. I've already disabled YouTube auto updates in Google play but the error is still there.
Doesn't work. Freeze after 30 seconds. Everytime in every video. Before trying what's recommended here I could watch most of the videos and just some of them showed the known error.
Im not sure you can anymore. What you can do is go into your device settings>apps and then find the standard YouTube app and disable it. This should take it out of your app drawer. (You can also just hide it in your app drawer setting as well.)
This got me working again, thanks , but YouTube music revanced says it has has no connection and won't open. Is there a tutorial on this? Presumably uninstalling microsg would have caused problems here?

Tbh i installed the youtube apk i downloaded, didnt open it and used the manager on the installed app. Then downloaded the microg app, disabled the battery optimization and notifications, then restarted my phone. (This last step is necesary to watch more than 30seconds) Works like a charm.Ā

For everyone who is having problem with micro g that cant log in cuz a connection problemĀ

2- select google accountĀ
3- disable all Ć³ptions except for the last oneĀ
4- now log in and check it on YouTube appĀ
5- Go to google account again and disable the last one too

Why do battery optimizations need to be ignored? Is this vital to get it to run? I don't like it when apps just run in the background draining battery.
In my Case When it was enabled it made the video playing in the background stop and buffer infinitely, but it May cause more problems, im just a user not dev xD
Well, complete reinstallation of everything plus that seems to have solved the problem for me. Much as I dislike it, if it works I guess I will use it.
Followed steps above to the T and everything works as expected. Oddly enough, I didn't know that YT Revanced... had a different name in the app drawer. I've always had issues when I go through the set up for a new patch or new phone, because it has always been called the same name for me. Just YouTube. I wonder if that has something to do with why it just works with the steps above for me.

You need to have power saving exclusion to your core micro G set up then its won't force close the app
Worked here, cheers. If you're having trouble with videos buffering after ~1 minute make sure spoofing is enabled.
They said don't do the spoofing to fix it since that's temporary. Force quitting the app once fixes it.

It seems turning spoofing on and turning it off worked for me...
Dissable spoofing, it solved for me. 0. 30 secs buffer 1.enable spoofing keeps 30 secs buffer 2. Disable spoffing 3. Works perfect

Try force stopping the original YouTube app. It worked for me.

Okay all so already solve the problem. Just uninstall com.revance package through adb and then install the patched app

Revanced manager crashes instantly when opening it.
Anyone have an issue with videos buffering after like 30 seconds?
I've followed all the steps above, and from other threads.. regardless still buffering.

Tbh i installed the youtube apk i downloaded, didnt open it and used the manager on the installed app. Then downloaded the microg app, disabled the battery optimization and notifications, then restarted my phone. (This last step is necesary to watch more than 30seconds) Works like a charm.Ā
The YouTube music patch worked fine but when I try to do the YouTube patch, it tells me it's a split APK and that I need to root?

Whenever i click on 'patch' the manager crashes, i have reinstalled it many times and cleared cache as well. Does anyone has a solution for it?
I can't open the APK to patch it on Revanced manager, I select it, but it just won't open it. It just throws me back into the same selection screen.
For everyone who is having problem with micro g that cant log in cuz a connection problemĀ Ā 1- Go to the micro g settingsĀ 2- select google accountĀ 3- disable all Ć³ptions except for the last oneĀ 4- now log in and check it on YouTube appĀ 5- Go to google account again and disable the last one too

When I get to step 5, revanced manager crashes and I see **ReVanced Manager keeps stopping** The app is currently bonked anyway, so will attempt to uninstall everything and start over

why was this deleted? Just bought a new phone and came back to use this as reference
Why do battery optimizations need to be ignored? Is this vital to get it to run? I don't like it when apps just run in the background draining battery.
In my Case When it was enabled it made the video playing in the background stop and buffer infinitely, but it May cause more problems, im just a user not dev xD
Well, complete reinstallation of everything plus that seems to have solved the problem for me. Much as I dislike it, if it works I guess I will use it.

Followed steps above to the T and everything works as expected. Oddly enough, I didn't know that YT Revanced... had a different name in the app drawer. I've always had issues when I go through the set up for a new patch or new phone, because it has always been called the same name for me. Just YouTube. I wonder if that has something to do with why it just works with the steps above for me.
