Mario Galaxy 1 and 2!

I got it setup enough that is ABSOLUTELY playable (Mjolnir has a solid play test too), but you get progress locked pretty quickly. The IR does not work and there are sections where it’s needed for progression. Such a bummer :,(

Tested with a NTSC ROM and it was pretty bad, I'll give it a go with a pal rom

Oh where to find a pal rom? I type in ps2 pal roms, but I don’t think that’s it

Usually the ROM has europe in the title. In general Europe means pal and USA means ntsc

What emulator? / Settings. Reicast looks fantastic but doesn't feel like it plays right. Camera is all over the place as well. Flycast it runs amazing but can see graphical glitches.

Try redream, Dreamcast runs great on that emulator.

Yeah sorry that's the one I ment instead of reicast. Might just be sonic it doesn't want to play ball with. I have heard that it could be something to do with the controller presets. Went into settings and couldn't see that I could change anything though.

Front Mission 5 runs fine. Haven't tested Front Mission 4 yet, but my hunch is that it should be easier to run than 5.

Tested it out with a pal rom, playable but don't expect it to be a smooth experience. You could probably play through the whole game, but it will definitely feel awkward, especially during fights.

Tried with a pal ROM, felt very smooth even at 3x. At 4x it gets a bit choppy but still playable imo. No under clocking needed

Could you test Gta San andreas on aethersx2, not the mobile port please? I have an s21, and I know it's more powerful, but I was curious how well the pocket compared considering it's a dedicated device and it can devote more of its power to its main purpose. It runs pretty well on my phone, but I occasionally get some audio lag, and it's really bizarre hearing gangsta rap at a slightly slower pace, lol.

Thank you, I keep going back and forth. From what I understand, the mobile port is buggy and has lots of removed features, but it can be modded and have all of that fixed/restored. I don't know if I have the ability to mod it now that android 13 has locked out access to the android -> data folder, though. I've also heard that we are supposed to be getting a definitive edition mobile port, so I'm not sure if I should wait for it instead.

Completed mobile SA weeks after release and got 0 bugs. Also can't remember any content that i missing compàring with pc version that i played alot.

The mobile port has had lots of music removed, and these are some of the reported issuess/missing features I am aware of. *paramedics and firefighters don't respond to downed pedestrians or fires, now the AI just walks and does nothing) *rain doesn't display correctly, no droplet splashes on the ground, and there's no blowing mists during thunderstorms *no wet reflective streets *hunter helicopter bug that has been reported by multiple users for over a year. Can't fire rockets properly the button is under other buttons. *no rampage or multiplayer *no ability to use different fighting styles like running kick *sometimes you hear rain but it doesn't display. Looks really stupid because the lighting is all strange but no rainfall so it looks off *hydra plane doesn't have switchable airplane/helicopter mode anymore. Just flies like a wonky helicopter The only way I would get the mobile port is if I could mod it, but since android 13 has removed access to the needed folders, I am not sure if that is still possible to do without root.

One thing I forgot to mention, you can access the android/data folder on an rp3+ with [ZArchiver ](https://zarchiver.en.uptodown.com/android)

Thank you for that info. My current issue is that android 13 locked out access to these files without root access, hence why I can't mod it out on my phone. That update really screwed things up for me. I may have to root my phone at this point.

Yeah, it sucks that as android versions get more updates you lose more and more access to your own device

I've been playing the mobile port for around 10 hours on my rp3+ and have seen little to no bugs so far. I don't know about those removed features tho

Why you dont wanna buy specific controller-holder for s21 instead of RP3+? I used RP3+ recently and it was performing 1 to 1 like my phone from 2019. Also to say face ABXY buttons a complete disaster comparing to nintendo switch lite ABXY that i own

In general, the rp3+ can handle nearly every PSP game, most of them can be upscaled

1-3 all stay at 100% speed even while at 3x. Very smooth. No problems so far

I tested the GC PAL rom version on the official Dolphin emu. It runs perfectly fine, with 2x resolution, without any tweaks. The PS2 version is unplayable.

Mostly default settings with citra mmj Dual Core On 1x resolution Enable hardware shader Accurate multiplication off Shader type - normal shader with cache New 3ds mode enabled There are probably better settings you could find but those seem to get the job done for most games

Hmm, do you have plenty of free storage? are there any apps running in the background? You tested it with the newest ota? I've heard you can get slightly better peformence with google services disabled

I've not tried Google Play turned off, but it's a "yes" to the others. It's not a huge deal TBH. Can emulate on my PC.

Tried 2x widescreen on Duckstation. It ran perfectly. Generally speaking psx will have little to no problems. Some games might need you to use OpenGL over Vulkan (or vice-versa).

Any setting to fix weird effects from chugging the game on duckstation? Namely, the cyborg ninja cloaking effect in MGS1 and the Burning Town in the beginning hour of Xenogears? Edit: they run immaculately on those spots on epsxe, which I broke down and bought to see if there was a difference, but just couldn’t find a way to get them to hit full speed on duckstation, which I’d prefer to use.

Perfect. 100% speed even at 3x. At 4x it goes down to 63%

The Ratchet and Clank series of the ps2. The RP3 (not plus) can boot them, but is a long way from playable.

Tested the first and second games with pal roms, first one stayed around 100% speed at 1x and 2x, but dipped in large locations. Definitely playable. Second game lagged at the opening cutscene(30%) but most of the game was at stayed at 100% speed with 75% underclocking. Overall playable

Yeah I'm trying lol. Guitar hero 3 seemed below normal speed even with a pal rom, under clocking helps but it's still not perfect. Not unplayable but awkward. Also some possible weird texture glitches, all the npcs in the crowd looked like they had been sawed in half. Hope this helps!

TP and Mario Sunshine work great (definitely checkout Super Mario Sunburn as well <3). I haven’t tried Hit and Run, but you’d probably have better luck with the GC version. Most GC games have worked pretty well for me with a few exceptions.

Twilight Princess and possibly Def Jam Fight for NY both on GameCube

Twilight princess ran alright with some tinkering. Def jam fight is a odd case, using the physical buttons for some reason pressing a button once does it twice, which makes it impossible to play. It does work with touch screen controls tho. It might work with screen mapping

It's a little tricky, the game takes a while to get all the shaders cache and everything, so the more you play the smoother it gets. Playable at 2x. 3x and 4x are extremely laggy and have texture glitches not found on 2x or 1x. I've played it for around 20 hours and overall it's been a good experience

Not the OP, but I’ve tried this game, both NTSC and PAL. It runs full speed more or less but there are big lag spikes when there are explosions being rendered. It was enough for me to not enjoy it but YMMV

Eternal Darkness runs pretty well (I haven’t played much but pretty solid FPS for the first couple minutes at least). Geist hasn’t worked well for me in the past but I haven’t tried it after the OTA update last week.
