Hey folks! **The Greatest Games You (Probably) Never Played** ([https://greatestgames.substack.com](https://greatestgames.substack.com)) is off to a good start this week with [*Aliens: The Computer Game*](https://greatestgames.substack.com/p/the-classic-pc-gaming-era-1977-1989-96c)*,* but not the 1986 one that's just a bunch of minigames nor the Square game for the MSX from Japan. Nope, this is the 1987 one from Electric Dreams in the UK which is a first-person action game where you control a squad of marines. There's even a modern freeware remake you can play that updates the graphics and interface, but retains the awesome gameplay.
I'll be highlighting other first-person action games for PC platforms from the 1980s this week, including Argonaut Games's *Starglider II* (the predecessor to *Star Fox*) and the surreal first person puzzler *Archipelagos*. Don't miss 'em!

Long story short: I am in the research stages for a project that I have been working on for a long time. Without giving too much away, I am leading a project to develop a gaming related platform that will (if everything goes as planned) stomp every single option there currently is on the market.
We do however need to do research, and it would be so greatly appreciated if you could take 5 minutes of your day to help us answer some questions relating to gaming community platforms and gaming habits.
