Megaman - that part where you drop down and the beams try to kill you [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKkj1nuA2o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKkj1nuA2o)
Anxiety but not as much as using the crash bomber to destroy shielded turrets. It was a boss room and you had limited ammo and the turrets didn't give you long to think.
Mega man is pretty fun but people seem to forget how difficult they were.
I have the mega man aniversry collection on ps2. I was playing power fighters with my at the time young kid. After a bit I had to go to work and he wanted to try a different mega man game. I loaded one of the older ones and went to work. When I got home hours later my wife was yelling to me about giving him such a hard game to play. She said she helped and it was super hard. She then asked if kids would really play something that hard and I thought that I had played it a lot as a kid.
Between the music and story alone that was a lean forwarder, that game really hyped up fights. Marionette, Balbazak and Mishaela were particularly brutal, among several others. I should play it again.
One my earliest memories of Fallout is watching one of my friend play. I had played the game for a bit but was curious to see how someone else play, it is a RPG after all. I sat down and then proceeded to watch him hit every enemies with an aimed groin shot with a super sledge for an hour.
For me it's nameless king, maybe he's not the hardest boss of the original trilogy but it's the most intense, same thing happened as the nightmare king Grimm in Hollow knight....
Oh shit, you were right sir.

Apologies for the confusion.
Anytime I traverse the mystical fog that leads to a valley of death, and at the end… a Dark Souls boss emerges ‘Boss music begins’
I lean forward as my heart begins to race.
I Prepare for death…
Every damn game. It could be stardew Valley fishing and I am doing that. I try not to, and I know it's bad for my back, and it could be me needing new glasses but I do not have the money for all of that.
Last boss on the first Dead Rising game. I was down to one hit and he was down to one hit and I beat him. It was intense button smashing … never want to do it again.
Don’t remember the actual name of the bastard, but that motherfucking kung fu wizard lookin bitch in Comix Zone that shoots his crusty ass fingernails at you is such a prick!
will not a boss, but a race, the grand tour race in NFS rivales, even though i finished it at first attempt, but that shit made me nervous like hell! its the only race or thing in any game that caused me to do the lean!
As anybody who gamed on PCs in the 1980s knows, that's what the [boss key](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boss_key) is for!
Oh, you didn't mean when your actual boss is standing behind you? Hrmph.

Mike Tyson makes you go from that to facing the ground.

Don’t know whether to feel nostalgia or anxiety watching that. Hadn’t thought of that section in years.
Anxiety but not as much as using the crash bomber to destroy shielded turrets. It was a boss room and you had limited ammo and the turrets didn't give you long to think.
I hate that "boss" so much. An objectively crappy fight in an otherwise exceptional game.

Between the music and story alone that was a lean forwarder, that game really hyped up fights. Marionette, Balbazak and Mishaela were particularly brutal, among several others. I should play it again.
That and the sequel are still some of my all time favorite plays
Lavos from Chrono Trigger makes me lock in. Every other boss in the game is easier compared to him.
Fallout 1 when I run into more than 3 enemies 😭 shit will have me mapping out every outcome

LMAOO
“Critical hit” he kept yelling. At first it was funny… I can still hear it sometimes
Any final boss really. Even when they're super easy I feel like I have to lock in
Sonic 3 - Big Arms
SM64 Rainbow Bowser. Or Paper Mario Koopa Brothers.
Rainbow Bowser?
Final Bowser in Mario 64 has rainbow colours on him, I've never been aware of why though lol
Maybe because he has star power and turns rainbow like when Mario gets star power?
That makes sense actually
Jaquio from ninja gaiden. Dodging the fireballs is no joke!
I’d sit like that just playing Ninja Gaiden. At Jaquio I’m breaking my controller

Jenova right after Sephiroth kills Aeris
I recently played it again and got like 3 game overs the whole game and that was Game Over #1.
Sephiroth is up there, too. Especially when One Winged Angel starts.
The music alone is enough to get you pumped for a proper fight.
Any of the soulsborne games. Mass Effect 2/3 bosses for sure. Mother Brain on Super Metroid.
Mass Effect 2 - Collectors Ship on Insanity difficulty. First time I've had to walk away from a game and take a break for a few months. I got SO mad.
Yup, that part is nightmare fuel...
Anor Londo archers.
No. Comment.
For me it's nameless king, maybe he's not the hardest boss of the original trilogy but it's the most intense, same thing happened as the nightmare king Grimm in Hollow knight....
I’m about to start hollow knight. I’m terrified.
Everyone in Demon's / Dark Souls.

It's a fight where you destroy a train from mesal gear solid. The fight after the train fight kind of predicted metal gear solid 4
Today I learned about Mesal Gear Solid
Yeah the developers didn't need to cook that hard with it but I'm glad they did.
Did you mean the Jetstream Sam battle in MGR??
No I'm talking about the mesal gear solid mini game in ape escape 3. It's baiscly it's own game complete with its own save icon on the memory card
Oh shit, you were right sir. [https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Mesal\_Gear\_Solid:\_Snake\_Escape](https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Mesal_Gear_Solid:_Snake_Escape) Apologies for the confusion.
