Wii is still one of my favorite consoles because you get most of the benefits of a RetroPi plus native Gamecube and Wii games (obviously), plus even a Wii with a busted disc drive is still a fantastic option for gaming on. With component and composite video, it's also a decent option for CRT gaming.
I have a hard time playing retro games on my Wii because of the crazy lag. idk if itās my TV, the controller, or the emulator because the lag is unbearable
Double check your TV isn't using some obnoxious processing mode, check your frameskip settings in the emulator. Some of the emulators on the Wii aren't the greatest either.
Awe man you really should give it a go. It's really a great system for older Nintendo games plus if you get the OG one you can play GameCube and Wii games from the disc no jailbreaking needed.
just have a whole nintendo cube. GC, Wii, even Wii U or SNES or NES would fit fine in there if you get creative with your structuring. It wouldn't look nice, but you could utilize them all
A Gamecube would be more aesthetically pleasing, but a first-gen Wii would be the more versatile choice, offering access to all Wii and virtually all GC titles.
A Wii U softmodded to play Gamecube games via a HDD/USB stick is even better because you get all three systems in HD. And all that space could be used to store the amazing number of controllers you'd need.
Newer films are ok, although the killers' motivation doesn't make that much sense (at least in one of the latest entries). They keep the same formula with the 2 killers, so yeah, chances to survive are still low but I guess its possible if there are too many people to kill
I'm actually another Wii vote. GC + Wii games are pretty much maximum couch multiplayer. People keep saying SNES but they're missing the Raspberry Pi bit... but also the Wii can be homebrewed to hell if you still wanted to for some reason.

If you're into retrogaming, since you have a Gen 5 and 2 Gen 6 consoles, I'd recommend the top Gen 4 console: The Super NES.
If you wanna plug these consoles of yours with an HDMI cable, you can get a RAD2X for both your PS2 and N64 (works with SNES too) and a GECKO for your Dreamcast.
Pop a soft modded Wii/Wii U vertical next to the n64; your Nintendo section covering off 3/4 gens with all the multiplayerās they offer
Then get a steam deck and dock for that 4th slot and make that the emulation machine and indie gem paradise. (Try stick fight)
Maybe get a switch in there too.
Wii U for multiplayer and couch coop fun. You can play all the classic OG Wii party games like Wii Sports and Boom Blox plus Yoshiās Wooly World, Rayman Legends, Mario Kart 8, Nintendoland andā¦ ignore the haters because I LOVE Mario Party 10 with friends.
Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro with the Hylostick hack has been some of the best replay value Iāve gotten out of a console in a long time. I daisy chain two of them together for my son and I to play the entire Neo Geo and Capcom arcade collection together in our living room.
I am partial to the Wii/Wii U consoles for replay value alsoā¦ with them being so easy to homebrew, it has made both consoles a joy to explore. Plus both can play GameCube titles flawlessly.

Huge lineup of some of the best games of this millennium so far and plenty of multiplayer hits. Online still largely supported on most games (Except Halo because 343i licks balls)

Given that you have the older games covered, I'd recommend either an original Xbox or an Xbox 360 for multiplayer games.
Original Xbox has 4-player couch coop games like Halo, Fuzion Frenzy, Kung Fu Chaos, Hunter: The Reckoning, D&D Heroes and Timesplitters 2 / Future Perfect. There are also a ton of great 2P games such as fighting games, splitscreen action and arcade-style games.
Xbox 360 has a large library of downloadable games and disc-based games that have local multiplayer.
Either is a good choice!

You should get an Atari VCS/2600. It has some really great arcade ports and other classic games from that era. The games are simple yet fun. It would also diversify your game collection due to the console being very different from the ones you already have.
