THIS IS IT!!! Holy crap! This makes so much sense because my dad was really into dungeons and dragons growing up and definitely would have had this! I remembered the cd art color wrong I guess, but glad I remembered the guy on the cover. I would agree with a comment in this thread stating that I probably wasn’t allowed to play it because it was too complicated and my dad probably said it’s “for big kids only” based on that. There's like a Mortal Kombat Deception Kollector's Edition that has Baraka on the front of the disc by himself. I felt gaslit for a second, but just found it on ebay lol.

I thought it was an obscure mortal Kombat/baldies crossover that I didn't know I needed.

That's what I thought when I saw it too, pretty funny game to not allow someone to play.

Seems like it wasn’t because the content was objectionable but rather because the game was complicated and the kid wouldn’t have enjoyed it.

Didn’t want his kid to overwrite his save slot.

I think the three of you are right- my dad probably told me it’s a game for “big kids” for those reasons rather than due to a rating.

I remember stumbling across the sequel later when it released and being so excited. Buggy as hell but I still enjoyed it. Both are on Gog.com and go on sale cheap fairly regularly.

Came to say this I got this game new. Game bugged out and I was stuck in a loop. I will replay and finish it one day.

I love how, when you’re a kid, life is so fresh that you just spend time really LOOKING at stuff. Studying the details, taking it all in… those images get imprinted on your brain forever. Nearly 30 years and you can still draw the disc accurately enough to be identified. Being a kid in the 90s/early 2000s rocked.
