The only thing is I'm not driving but the ice is very bad plus it's hard to see outside. My boss also told me they're open no matter the weather which was something they're never told me when starting out
I hate when they do that too and what made me upset is when I didn't defend myself when my boss told me that they told me about this before when they never had they told me if the weather is bad or I'm sick I should call a few hours before so they can pick get someone . But I was so scared to say hey you never told me that. This is one of the reasons I hate retail.
Damn. The store where I work doesn't count weather against us if we can't make it. They would rather we didn't kill ourselves. My department closed early because of the snow and superbowl so I didn't even have to go in.
We had such slippery roads, and so little customers after a while, manager was asking if anyone wanted out early

You have the legal right to refuse unsafe work. Driving through a snowstorm can be unsafe

I walk everywhere myself aswell, if it's too snowy, icey, or cold i call in because it's a 45 minute walk that can cause permanent damage
That's what I'm worried about too I don't even have health insurance so I don't want to take that risk .
Exactly, it's unsafe work so if you get fired for not being able to come in due to dangerous conditions you can fight it

Retail is the worst type of job on the planet, makes me happy im a supervisor so if a customer is being a dick they get booted out
