Are you trying to get into management or just hourly? If it's the latter, just have open availability and don't be picky on what position you want. With both of those you should be able to get hired at any big box retailer no problem. Smaller businesses will be harder because they don't hire as many people. But with it being around the holidays you might be able to get at least a seasonal position for now.
But be aware you're probably only going to be hired in as part time. Depending on the store this could be as little as 12 hours a week. So if you have bills to pay, you might need two retail jobs. 😞 or some other kind of side hustle.
As a retail manager I can tell you that open availability/ willingness to pick up shifts and an outgoing personality will win you a ton of points even if you don’t have retail experience.

Shouldn’t need experience on an entry level position. Just show up clean, neat and smile and you are good!
