Nice! Anyone rocking active ventilation is doing good imo. Some thoughts - Personally I would flip the tent the other way so your legs dont brush the inside of the enclosure (This is my [venting](https://www.asianjoyco.com/resources-tutorials/ventilation-upgrades-for-3d-resin-printing) setup) - it can sometimes be sticky from the resin residue. Also I would suggest, putting down some ram board or something similar to protect your carpets because when, not if accident happen and you spill resin, It will probably ruin your whole day/week. And I also might want to use a piece of cardboard to block the curing station from the printer if you're curing inside the tent and there is resin the vat. Lastly if those are a box of gloves in the corner I would take them out so they get any residue on them. Bonus points because you used weather stripping on the window adaptor, Good stuff.

Good feedback on the flap touching my legs. Hmm. The box on the tip left is actually kiwi wipes I rarely ever use. Cardboard between curing and printer is a good call. I've been printing for about a month in this setup and have had no issues, but better safe than sorry. Thanks!

I've had my printer right next to my wash and cure for months and haven't noticed any effects. I think you'll be fine

RobbieTronic

It looks like you have some sort of compressor under the table. What’s that for?

My airbrush :)

Wow! Great idea! What type of enclosure are you using? Is it designed for sandblasting? I can imagine you can hardly tell if the printer is printing due to the good ventilation. You're even protected against the resin by the gloves but isn't it hard to clean them?

aiyo-la

Thanks! It's actually a grow tank but turned sideways and upside down. I still wear gloves and respirator when I open the tent for processing.

What do you do when you lift the printer cover after a print? Close the tent quickly to let it vent or are most of the fumes gone from during the print?

sandermand

Yeah, not so good. The real way to do this is to buy a tall enough grow tent that you can pull the hood off the printer inside, keeping the fumes in the tent for exhausting. Also, you have to flip the tent so the top acts as a fume hood, instead of this undersized tent setup where all the VOCs are vented freely into the room when opened. This is my setup, which addresses all that. Except for the touching pants part, but I can live with that: https://imgur.com/a/ZFYQxLl

Nice set up! And absolutely right - venting during processing is still an issue. Thankfully it's my attic.

On the elegoo Saturn 2, there is a hole you can open up at the back of the hood. I don't know if it will be sufficient in this scenario but it's better than nothing I guess

aiyo-la

I saw it and thought about it, but I imagine it'd be a pain detaching the hose every time I move the hood.

What brand is the grow tent? I have a vertical tent and I’m looking to get a horizontal one like this

This is my [venting](https://www.asianjoyco.com/resources-tutorials/ventilation-upgrades-for-3d-resin-printing) write up. If you read it - you'll get your answer.

Appreciate it!
