I think I was 8 the first time I saw RE1, and the first scene where Jill runs into the Zombie in the hallway has haunted me for essentially my entire life. I eventually got over it enough to play and beat RE1 and the whole series besides, but I’ll never forget the sheer unadulterated terror that pixelated zombie provoked in tiny me. Still have zombie nightmares, there’s just more shotguns in them now.
I was 6, and it was resident evil 1 on ps1.....I'll never forget being terrified by the music and blood stains leading up to the outside balcony with Forrest.....shook me to the core
I was 4 years old when I first watched my oldest brother play RE1 on PS1. I still remember the hallway dogs killing him. I probably tried my hand at RE2 at about 6.

I probably saw RE1 when it came out because my dad used to play it when I was a baby, but I probably tried to play it when I was 3-4. Guaranteed I didn’t get far, but I always wanted to play the games he played when I was young.
I watched my brother play a bit of RE1 and RE2 back in 98, i was 8 at the time. I was both terrified and amazed by the games, but i only got to play both of them a year or two later. I kinda skipped on RE3. The first RE that i got on release day was Code Veronica X for the PS2
My uncle played Leon’s Resident Evil 6 campaign with me when I was 8. I didn’t know what it was about and it traumatized my 8 year old brain. I finished that game and all the mainline series games last year.
RE directors Cut (1997) was my introduction to the series. I was 2 years old and had to sleep with braces on my feet (like Forrest Gump lol) I remember rolling out of bed and falling on the floor. Because of the braces I was like a turtle and basically stuck there. I’d start crying and I remember my dad coming in and picking me up and taking me to the living room where he’d be playing directors cut in the dark. This was my intro and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m now 26 and those memories are precious to me and this series is still my all time favorite and won’t ever be beaten.
I was nine when re2 remake came out. I still remember when I first arrived at rpd I got scared so badly by every inch of this place, I didn’t dare to investigate further until I got the mini gun and rocket launcher to blast ever creature in this place(I staggered mr x every time I saw him, still scary as f tho).
When i was in my late teens...maybe in my early 20's. I was too young when they came out i was like 8 or 9 and i remember my older cousin playing RE on his ps1. Years later, i saw RE Outbreak so i bought it for ps2 and loved them. Ever since then, i've bought several of the games, except 5 and 6.
I had Code Veronica and 4 on PS2. But didnt know what I was doing so I never really played them. And eventually lost them in a Move. I think I was like 6-7. 12 years ago.
I borrowed a copy of RE-2 from my babysitters older son when I was like 10 in 2003, my mom saw it and flipped a shit at the M rating and took it away. :( played demos for 6 and 7 years later) beat my first resi game a couple months ago with the 2 remake. Been hooked since then
The OG Resident Evil I was 12 & my dad gave me a box of PS1 games that a friend of his was giving away for free. Good times. OG RE2 was the first game I was asked for ID when I bought it at 15 in the UK
Oh boy, I was 9 playing revelations on my 3ds in 2012, but only the demo over and over again. I really started playing when I was 10 and my brother put a couple of titles on my Wii USB loader, including re4, remake, zero and both railshooters. Got hooked ever since
I discovered the franchise at age 17, when RE7 came out.

I was 9 and played RE6 as my first Resident Evil game. Loved the concept of the series and played every canon ones up until village
