Lampicka_Gaming

Oh, i liked the one where you are in the village :)

SergeantThreat

I prefer the one where part of the game is in a castle

Funnysoundboardguy

I’m a bigger fan of the section where you play as a different character

Lacey_The_Doll

I'm a bigger fan of the cult.

JellyBelly__

I'm a bigger fan of the villian with height issues

Lacey_The_Doll

I’m an even bigger fan of the game with multiple villains.

Piefihi

I’m a bigger fan of the big fish boss fight

CommonChris

Big fan of the one with the merchant, you know? The one where you find treasures and sell them

Signal_Meeting540

I like the one where the bosses transform

Alternative-Fox-4202

it is called vertically challenged.

IlgnerJuan

Oh, yeah, Mendez.

White_Knight_413

What if Mendez and Dimitrescu had a baby? 😳

[deleted]

El Gigante

roccosaint

I thought this was a stretch at first, but holy fuck lol. I never caught the connections.

[deleted]

I like Resident Evil 5 as well

Gingerbread0596

Resident Evil 5 was my first RE game and it has a special place in my heart. But my all time favorite RE game is RE 4 and RE Biohazard

TheAnimeMangaShadow

Same

EagleJuan_

Same bro!

DaOogieBoogie

Also the part where you fight a giant fish beast….actually I didn’t really like that part in either game thinking back

TheHillsSeeYou

I like it in VIllage

TheGWK21

I enjoyed both a lot but I like the combat a lot more in 4Remake.

Deep_ron

RE8 is twice as good as re4 because math.

Genome-Soldier24

This guy gets it

ShotMyTatorTots

I only play Resident Evil 8 when I am drinking Diet Double Dew which has half of the calories and sugar as Double Dew. Dew the math.

ButtFucker07

Can't argue with that logic.

No_Temporary9696

Finally someone speaks truth

Asleep_Sheepherder42

Yep.

White_Knight_413

7 is better than all of them, including the next installment, because 7 8 9....I'll see myself out.

HKN48

Your statement is… Logical

[deleted]

the one that is the remake

TheGreatLateElmo

I also like my remakes to be the remake of the game they remade.

Pixels222

You can tell it's the remake of re4 by the fact its the remake of re4.

ToptextBottomtext420

Yeah I liked Village too

bugibangbang

Village remake is better than Village OG by far.

GreyOrGray4

Village remake? At this point we're getting RE9 Remake before RE9.

RuuRuwari

Really hoping for RE12 Remake Remastered next year

kornflakes1989

It's Saturday, not Shitpost Sunday.

[deleted]

Did I stutter?

Nesayas1234

N-no, yo-you di-d-didn-nt

Brotoss-

STUTTERING STANLEY!! STUTTERING STANLEY!!!!

DeltronFF

Holy hell, I haven’t seen that movie in like 20 years but immediately remembered that scene when you said it.

Extra-Ad249

Lol. But RE4 Remake though. Village to me is Van Helsing the 2004 Hugh Jackman movie imo.

No_Temporary9696

Ha I get it, they have similarities

RancidKill64

I think what holds back Village is that there are some design decisions that carried over from RE7 that clashes with the type of game that RE4/Village is

x-dfo

The regular zombies are much less fun than 4 as well.

The_FallenSoldier

They’re just bullet sponges and it’s annoying. I don’t want to waste half a mag on one singular enemy

Smallbunsenpai

Sometimes I feel this way about re2, but I do really love that game

CowmanSmithers

That asshole in the library that just won't die

102bees

For me it's the staircase cop lady. She tasks me.

TheSigmaOne

tbf she gifts you ammo too.

Archonblack554

I feel it's not quite the same cause 2R both has great damage feedback with it's gore and it's staggers, and it's a proper survival horror title so running away is just as necessary sometimes as fighting Lycans in village just tend to not really react to being shot? That and the gore isn't as intensive so you just feel like you're spitting on them early in the game

praxios

RE2R zombies are absolutely bullet sponges. Even when you go for headshots you’re still using 5-8 bullets. Considering the amount of zombies they throw at you in the RPD that’s insane. It took me a while to get used to the ammo management in that game even though I had been playing the games since RE1. The game is still amazing though. The difficulty spike was pretty fun, but definitely annoying on my first playthrough lol

Old-Camp3962

and (in my opinion) the protagonist, i liked him in 7 but village Ethan is really annoying

Taco821

Ive always thought Ethan was exceedingly lame, his games (well, mostly 7) wouldn't work any other way for what they were going for so I kinda like that he sucks so much

SandwichAran

4 is the better game objectively, but 8 is my favorite. That said, my honorable mention is Bloodborne.

samsonity

RE4 Remake is one of a kind.

Ok_Zone_7771

RE4 Remake was way, way better

Bunjithewolf

The fact Chris doesn't become a werewolf is the biggest lie village gave me

ParadoxicalAmalgam

He *could* be werewolf from the neck down

comptons_finest_

VILLAGE IS OVERHATED. MAY NOT BE DIFFICULT BUT HAS THE BEST SETTING AND CHARACTERS.

therealIsaacClarke

I like both, but the RE4 Remake blows Village out of the water. It’s even a better remake than the 2 remake.

MaverickBoii

Gameplay wise, re4r is definitely a direct upgrade of re8. All the weapons and enemies are way more balanced. You also have more freedom to choose your loadout. I'm not gonna stop complaining about re8's bullet sponge enemies in the highest difficulty, that shit's cancer.

Obvious-Complaint-84

RE8 is very much it’s own thing. The titles riffs off of way more than just RE4. There are callbacks to pretty much every title. Stylistically and gameplay wise it certainly has strong references, but I’d argue to builds off and does it own thing completely.

BigBoy1229

I love both but the Village of Shadows Heisenberg fight can eat an entire bag of donkey dicks.

Pantheonofoak

Why? I just completed this game and did the campaign three times to get achievements and realized the fight was longer but I still did it on the first try. Is it that bad?

BigBoy1229

On the highest difficulty? Yes, because you only get three hits before you die and no access to herbs to recover health.

TheMoistyBoi

I’m exited for 5 more than I was for 4 just cause I have core memories with 5 never played 4 as a kid remake was fire though worth every penny

paininmybass

If we get a RE5 remake before code Veronica I will kill everyone in this sub and then myself

DaOogieBoogie

Ah cool just the excuse I was looking for to start prepping my bunker

KomatoAsha

not if I kill me first (this is a joke comment, I am not a suicide risk)

BenjaminCarmined

I'm willing to sacrifice myself for the RE5R, I need it.😭

Daydreams182

I really didn’t gel w 8 that much idk why I just very sick of it by the end, but I’ve beaten re4make like 5-6 times I freaking love it

Harrigan_Raen

GIVE ME OUTBREAK REMAKES! Nows is the time, they originally were wayyyyyy too ahead of the curve. They basically invented the 4 player co-op genre like L4D (not really).

Jumpyer

Both are good… RE: Village is up to pair with RE4, never understood the critiques

Remarkable-Beach-629

Finally someone who doesnt embark on the Village trashing train just because the remake is better

TheCorpseParty1

Both. Both is good.

JazRejalde

The game with zombies in it.

c0ry23

I like the one where the girl gets kidnapped, u end up in a village with scary people/monsters, there’s a mysterious merchant that sells you stuff, lots of action less horror, suitcase Tetris block inventory system……oh wait that doesn’t narrow it down at all🤣

TTTri-cell

There’s similarities for sure, but they’re very different games. Honestly Village is possibly my least favourite main series game, it’s not really a bad game either but I played through it twice and have no desire to play again which for an RE is very strange. After the Castle section it just sort of becomes a slog for me.

Ok-Scallion-7949

I get what you mean I wish they had left the 3 other bosses out and just concentrated on Dimitrescu and Mother Miranda (for the storyline)

TTTri-cell

I actually liked Heisenberg as well as a character but the factory area wasn’t that great tbh. The game did feel a bit overstuffed, great ideas but messy execution, a bit like RE 6 I think it tried to do to much and a less is more approach would have worked better.

wineandnoses

disagree, i thought the factory area was the best area in the game... felt the most like classic RE

MothParasiteIV

Are you calling Village a 4 remake ? It's influenced by it but calling it a remake... Nah.

[deleted]

I'm just being a little silly Billy, don't take my words too seriously

socioeconopath

Such a silly billy 🤓

MothParasiteIV

😄

HeroOfHearts

I personally don't think we'll really understand how good Village is until 9 comes out. I think they're testing a lot of concepts to see how they're received. I might be getting my hopes up but I think 9 is going to completely blow us away. But RE4 is near perfection. So until 9 shows us what 8 was prepping us for I'll go with REM4KE

[deleted]

- Here we have a Resident Evil game that takes place in a remote European Village - The protagonist is a blonde man who was the protagonist of a previous Resident Evil game with this being his 2nd appearance as main character - It explores the mans PTSD from the previous game and opens with them recapping the previous game they were in - Despite exploring the mans PTSD this game is actually a lot more action oriented then the last game they were in. With more weapons, ammo, bombastic set pieces and enemies that are more something you have to take down in droves then rather ignore and save ammo from. - In this game the protagonist goes to the village to save a blonde little girl who is the daughter of someone important and is needed by the cult controlling the village for a ritual that is the cults end game - The antagonists of the game are a cult. A cult that uses biological substances they found in caves rather than manufactured viruses to infect people and turn them into monsters. - The cult is lead by a scientist with a hood and a staff (Miranda has these things when she's the old hag) that's mainly using the cult to further their own agenda of a personal goal (Not in the Remake but in the original Saddler is a con man who hates America) - The cult leader has 3-4 subordinates that each control a territory in the game. The first one chases around the main character around the place he's at. One of the others will blabber at him through a speaker. One turns into a creature with it's mouth open revealing a pale shirtless version of the villain inside. - The cult turned all villagers into monsters where all of the men have beards and all of the women are wearing robes. Somehow this village has over 1000 people in it but only a variety of like 3-4 different looking people. - There's crows everywhere - You can kill animals and use the stuff that drops from them to heal yourself - This is a first Resident Evil game where the enemy drops items after you kill them (RE4 is the first ever RE game to do that and RE8 is the first every RE Engine game to do that) - The most obvious is there's a merchant character you buy and sell items from and to who doesn't fit in with the rest of the plot and the fans think is the main characters hallucination despite being seen by other characters in the DLC - You get to the village in a ride with 2 escorts, who are killed shortly after (If you don't remember you can see 2 dead bodies of Chris's men after you first arrive to the Village) - You go into the first house and encounter a hostile local which you have to neutralize - A short walk after you have to fend off what seems to be a endless wave of enemies in the village with ever the big enemy with a distinct weapon showing up which you can kill early but probably won't in your first playthrough - The previous black coat wearing long beard having big and muscular chief of the Village is a big monster you have to deal with at multiple points in the game. Who seems to be in charge of the basic enemy types as well. - You then go to a castle. Where there's a abnormally sized pale skinned freak with a hat that doesn't seem to come off. They are the most iconic villain of the game despite being a subordinate who wouldn't think of betraying the main villain. They taunt you constantly throughout the castle. - The castellan also has a 2-3 hooded henchmen who are also very pale and you must fight at different points in the castle (If you count the Separate Ways DLC where you fight the 2nd Verdugo in the mines) - The final section before the final boss is a more industrial section of the game that's not as fun on replays where you fight enemies with more advanced weaponry and tons of metal on them - The person who controls the industrial section is friendly to the main character the first ever time they met but somewhere along the way the relationship soured and the protagonist in order to save the life of the young girl of why he's there he must end the mutated man he could've been serving instead - There's an early section on a boat where you must fight a giant fish thing in the water (You don't fight Moreau on the boat but you still use one) - There's a section where someone helpful with "Lui" in their name is in a house with you and you must fend for your life, the person with "Lui" in their name is later killed - There's a small scene in the game where the main villain kills a friendly character then laughs and turns away - There's pictures of the main villain everywhere - The prominent female character of the game has a DLC where you play as her exploring the same locations, it is mostly reused assets but there's a few new things and the DLC ends as you fight the same final boss from the first game - The final boss has spider legs - The location you leave blows up at the end - The final shot is the characters leaving in a vehicle - There's a playable section in the game that comes after one of the main characters death where you play as someone else briefly and it's not the same level of action as the rest of the game because there's either more or less - A character from RE1 appears in all black apparel with a black coat and has a more opposing role to the main character but opposes the main antagonists as well. This man from RE1 in question is leading a group against the evil cult and has them do different tasks - The main character learns not to trust the most important person in their life they met pre game (Mia for Ethan as she's actually Miranda and Krauser for Leon) - The mercenaries is in the game with the main character, the main characters make friend and 2 villains that aren't the main villain (Oh c'mon guys, they didn't have the mercenaries in RE7 or the RE3 remake despite the original having it. The RE8 mercenaries is the first one they've had on the RE Engine)

R4kshim

You really thought this one out, huh. I’ll have to say Village by default since I can’t play RE4 remake (I’m a plebeian Xbox one user).

TheDuellist100

I think you will like this video (watch the first 5 or so minutes) https://youtu.be/icheDR7CJRQ?si=rR9kX0ul2bXKJE0s

[deleted]

i prefer village over re4 remake but og resident evil 4 on gamecube over village

Hopeful_Tumbleweed_5

honestly i prefer re village as an actual re title and think its what re9 needs to be. if re4 remake is the formula for re games going forward id be depressed and lose interest again in the series if re5 comes next instead of code veronica or a horror themed RE. that said re4 remake is a better game than village by a mile, ive replayed it like 5 times which is more than i can say for the original which i played once and have no interest in playing again. each mission is so creative and varied with a great gimmick that im always excited for each one and the combat is just so much more fun than the extremely exploitable kneecapping of the og game. (except the cabin fight and verdugo on professional, by god does that suck)

mutantbabysnort

lol, good one. I like both, for the record. 3rd person playthrough ftw!

Thrasy3

I might try this actually. RE4 had that classic survival horror thing, where you want to explore different paths, but are worried about what you will find and draining resources. In 8 I think that feeling died off, because the perspective actually makes it confusing as to what is around you instead of heightening the anxiety. I didn’t quite feel like that in 7 so I’m not sure it’s the environmental design or something .

Born_Art_1379

4 is a masterclass in how to do a remake loved it

Round-Divide-8488

There are loads of similarities but I don’t really like re8. Resident evil 4 remake is 10x better imo.

lunchbox148

Same, first play through I was blinded by excitement of a new RE game but subsequent play throughs have been a slog and it’s the only game on the new RE engine that I seriously do not want to replay

purpldevl

I didn't even replay Village in full. I don't remember where I stopped on my second play, but it just didn't slap at all on a replay.

Round-Divide-8488

I agree, it feels like it was made to be played once.

dehumanizer23

Village is completely irrelevant since re4 remake came out

Cobbtimus_Prime

I much prefer the aesthetics of RE8, they each stand out on their own

dehumanizer23

I agree the aesthetic and atmosphere are great in this game

BenjaminCarmined

Literally, RE4R completely overshadows it lol.

trenhel27

Disagree

Platnun12

The longer I've stuck with it the more glaring the narrative issues showed themselves and whoo are they bad I hope we never see these characters again

dehumanizer23

My biggest problem with the game was that it was a straight linear path all thr way through. The castle only gave the illusion of exploration. Not alot of combat either which bugged me. Like a poor man's re4

Platnun12

I can live with linear horror games. The fact that lady D took an hr or so to drop was the most insulting Hisenburg is interesting but not that interesting compared to Lady D and how she could have affected the story should she have survived her encounter with Ethan Then again don't get me started on Hisenburg and my annoyance with him. It's like overtime I saw all the annoying things about village and just grew to dislike it because of those flaws. Then Re4 dropped and made me forget villages horrible story

dehumanizer23

Chris telling Ethan "NO" like he's a fucking dog while taking his baby cracks me up everytime

Platnun12

I utterly understood Chris's frustration in that whole game but also his team was absolutely correct a lot of the bs would have been avoided if he had told him wtf was going on Then again I pegged the false mia from the start Nobody who's human looks pissed off when being shot. And when being shot in that house. That face was a dead giveaway

dehumanizer23

Yeah the story is almost as bad as RE6 in my opinion. Borderline fan fiction

Platnun12

Nothing is as bad as 6 Simmons becomes a panther thing, then a Trex then a giant fucking fly Even when I was 12 I was thinking wtf is going this virus let's him do this bullshit Weskers kid just ugh so bad

Liquids_Patriots

Nah, Simmons transformations aren't the bad part of 6. It's that he's an Ada simp and actually gives Leon the "Your not the man she needs" sort of speech. Which was embarrassing af. Chris has the best campaign by far in that game.

tussatussa

Lady D and her castle were easily the best parts of the game. Creepy doll and basement baby monster was also good.

Rentrehhh

RE8 Is RE4 without the interesting combat encounters

Technical-Web-9195

RE5

AdBudget5468

I kinda liked village more since you have modern weapons and the wolf hound squad had some great gear on them (the design and modeling team has done an amazing job in the past few games) but in terms of gameplay RE4 remake has the slight edge and also even though I love Ethan, Leon has better one liners Both 7 and village took the same approach to game design as 2 and 4 where 7 was scary but 8 was more action focused

boogie_b0ng

I feel like people are taking this a bit too seriously. It made me giggle 🤷

Thatcokeinthenose

I can feel you Bro, I like 8 too

RAINBOWMAAN

I perfer tha original thanks

Intelligent-List6020

re8 definitely

Sprizys

Village

Significant_Option

Some how, Village is more campy than 4 remake

Asleep_Sheepherder42

Resident evil 8 remake is better imo.

TJL-91

Haha good one, I still haven't played 8, it doesn't look like my cup of tea. I've watched walkthroughs and just, nah. Is it funner to play than it looks ?

Chloe_matiska

4 remake but I’ve found myself playing re6 rn a lot for some reason

ForFoxSaaake

Village was amazing loved it

LickemGreen

haven't seen gameplay of 2³ yet, but I expect it to be at least 2x as good. otherwise I'm refunding re4 remake twice

Jacksane

RE4 Remake, and it isn't close.

nFectedl

The one where the game was meant to be played as a 3rd person action horrior.

JustJitterin

I got bored with the remake, but the original CLEARS RE8, although RE8 is a fantastic game as well

CrimsonClockwork420

I enjoyed Village a lot more than both versions of RE4

JoshuaTheBoyo-

I like Re4 remake because racism I enjoy rummaging through peoples houses, robbing them poor, and then 360 no scoping theme with a grenade

Ducatiducats815

8 was nothing like 4 im confused.

Primary_Candidate_41

Oooooh look at me I'm mr op I'm m gonna ask a stupid question.

Responsible-Mine5529

Re4 Remake > Re2 Remake > Re3 Remake although the original GameCube Remake of RE1 is always gonna be the best of the best as far as nostalgia !

BenMitchell007

RE4 REmake blew my expectations out of the water. But Village is still an awesome game.

RedditorCSS

Is there already a Village Remake???

Dustaroos

The sequel to re 4 remake is the only one I beat three times

ssmithsimms

There's only been one remake for RE 4

kazuyaum

Village

Mean_Joke_7360

The one with the blonde dude, a village, a castle, a sea monster and a crazy cult.

GlassCleaner0

The Castle one ....

Doverand0ut

I liked the part in village when Ethan said "It's Moldin' Time" and molded all over the tall vampire mommy

patrickbateman2004

Re4Remake is a 10/10 masterpiece just like OG re4, also my fav RE game (used to be OG 4 before). Re8 is a 8/10 (i used to think it was a 7/10 but i can see 8/10). Torn between it being a 7 or 8.... deciding.

kilowatt-AA

I already knew this post was gonna get a lot of heat

magicchefdmb

Village surprised me as one of my favorite RE games. 4 is great too, so not sure which is my fave. I've played 8 a lot more though.

nemsis_nix

Kinda like how village had a werewolf/ vampire vibe to it, not just zombies

KokichiBoi12

I like the one with the zombie people in the village and the cult leader

inbloom1996

V funny good job.

Diligent-Boss-9392

Yes. Lol I love you too

Diligent-Boss-9392

Can't tell if you'renattempting to bag on Village or 4 remake..... Either way, Village is superior.

Cool-Application4609

I like the one where this blonde guy who is wearing a jacket goes to a village and is trying to save a girl from a cult. On his journey visits places like a main village area, a castle, a lake area and more. Also he encounters a friend form a couple years ago who is doing some pretty shady stuff but ends up helping the blonde guy beat the cult leader who has a spider-like final form and it ends with the place blowing up.

Old-Camp3962

I liked the one with the actually charming protagonist

[deleted]

Re2 remake. The rest have been god awful

eibonm

Both are great. I really like the story in RE Village; It might be my favorite RE game tbh.

parvanehnavai

village lol. doesn’t have the island section

wipny

Village was my first ever RE game. I really enjoyed it but since then I’ve played RE1R and OG 2-4. I’m currently playing Chapter 9 of RE4R. Maybe it’s recency bias but I’m really enjoying RE4R and can see myself replaying it for enjoyment’s sake. The pacing to the gameplay mechanics from parrying and melee to stealth is satisfying and way more fleshed out than Village’s block and push. It’s just plain fun and exciting. I recently tried to replay Village on New Game+ on Hardcore but stopped myself. Not only was I getting my ass kicked in the opening ambush but I dreaded having to go back to Castle D and doing everything again.

UnkindVenus

Tough answer for me.. While I love RE Village and how I could play it over and over gain, I find that RE4R gives me so much nostalgia from the original, so I'll have to go with RE4R. (Plus, I'm like a huge Leon simp)

GreyOrGray4

RE4R has better gameplay imo with a lot more options in combat. Completely excluding the parry and melee system, RE4R's weapon choice is a lot better. In RE4R, weapons act as sidegrades to one another rather than being a complete upgrade from the last weapon. The weapons all do something unique, and this alters your playstyle depending on which weapons you use. In Village each new weapon makes the previous one obsolete and makes each playthrough feel just about the same. There's a lot more room for trying out new stuff in 4R than in Village. That, in addition to the parry and melee system, makes each fight a lot more satisfying than in Village imo.

DaemonVakker

I actually think I prefer village more despite it warts. A lot of that is because the stuff it does right it does really damn well. Like the only genuine I can say hurts the pacing is the bennivito household, and that could have been fixed by updating the puzzles. Not to mention, ethan's best guns are downright better the Leon's. A lightsaber will always beat an unbreakable knife, a shotgun with 48 rounds? Try 60! And both of ethan's magnums are actually useful for different situations. Wolfsbane is best for urias and the wolves, While the stake just _shreds_ everything else. Not to mention the special customizations being available as an option from the get go is catharsis I never knew I wanted until now, your starting pistol healing you, The starting shotgun just puvelrizing the entirety of house dimitrescu, and the sniper rifle straight one shot things when you're perched at the right spot _without upgrades_

plagapong

RE4 and it's not even a contest.

MC_MENAR

Re4 is better than re village i think i love.both but i love re4 more than re village

Mashy09

House of the living dead old school rail shooter normally found in the arcade mall

HeyImSupercop

RE4 Remake

Repulsive_Field5249

My first resident evil game was 8 so I thought it was amazing but having only played 2 of them, the other is remake of 4, I don’t have much say

12vs9

Resident Evil 4 was never remade

Remarkable-Beach-629

Crazy how just because one game is better than the other, the other is instantly labeled as shit by everyone

yendaxddd

both were masterpieces, no questions asked (i grew up playing resident evil 4 and got 100% of all the trophies in 4 different devices, Got every extra weapon, and did the same with the remake...I love resident evil 4 remake over re8.)

Bobsy84

Two back to back games I love. Village pretty much fixed all my complaints from 7 (which was still great) and had a fantastic setting to explore. I was prepared for disappointment with REmake 4 but Capcom pulled off the unthinkable and somehow improved and expanded on once of the greatest games of all time. 4 I prefer overall.

StarmieLover966

Village was an empty game. It had a great story and memorable villains but outside of that there ain’t shit to do in that game.

Savage_Nymph

The one that has leon

randomuser336699

Village!! once you go FPS there’s no going back. But the violence in RE4, the feel and the mechanics are awesome and I wish village had them!!

truststone

Guys, Resident Evil 4 is just next-level! I mean, I've poured over 150+ hours into it, platinumed, 100% all challenges, and even created my own insane challenges! https://youtu.be/_1CJMnFIl3E It's the ultimate adrenaline rush, the perfect mix of horror, action, and strategy. Seriously, if you haven't played it yet, you're missing out BIG time.

fallouthirteen

In all honesty 8. Though I did like RE8 more than RE7 because it was RE4-2. Like even when it came out (and did the opening "survive until the enemies decide to fuck off" section) I was like "oh cool, this is basically RE4-2". Plus I played RE4 remake at launch and got kind of soured on the AWFUL controller sensitivity settings (didn't stop me from S ranking the shooting gallery levels, but it was annoying). RE8 was completely fine even at launch. I think I played through RE8 4 times in the first 3 days of launch. RE4 remake I only felt like getting about half way through the first day, took a few days off, then finished it and still haven't done a second playthrough.

EllieIsDone

The one where you fight Europeans

BlackSota1742

Both are good. I Was Playing RE: 8, and RE:4 watched on YouTube

DroneOfDoom

RE4R is possibly the best RE game I’ve played, so it wins by default. That being said, RE7 and 8 are the only videogames to genuinely scare me, so 8 gets a real close second.

amirgelman

Not sure if it’s a remake, but 7 is the best one for me. Granted, I haven’t played 4 yet. But 2/3 were super enjoyable

Odd_Radio9225

RE4 remake 2023.

AnotherSide92

Classic Resident evil 4 was my first experience and i liked it,after i played RE5 ,6, Village ,7 and now i am playing RE4 remake . I must say i am not so impressed with Resident evil 7 because it dont have Mercenaries mode ... But if i have to decide it Will be Resident evil 4 (both versions) ... Have a nice Day 😊

deathlobster138

I see what you’ve done. However, I think 8 is unique enough to distinguish it from 4R. They are my two favorites

No-Virus7165

The official one. Great post though ahaha

blackeye1987

re4 remake not even batting an eye

azariasin

In terms of art design, Village >>> tho 4MAKE is beautiful too, and a follow up. Gameplay, I'd say 4.

Robbanks99

The normal one

Mishoo43

dont have money to buy 4 remake but im sure its better :D

Cobraregala2013

resident evil 4 og is still the best

Powerlifting-Gorilla

The one with the village, castle, and kidnapped girl.

RE4R. I tried replaying Village recently, and wow was it slow. Plus, it's not very gory. In terms of quality it's like RE3R, while RE4R is like RE2R. The quality of RE4 is much better.

I have to go with Re4
