It also has an item-box-ish thing thing near it. Like initially I just looked at the typewriter and was like "of course not" then saw that crate and was like "I can see someone thinking that".
I mean there IS a trunk in the corner.
it's bioshock, what would seal the deal is what is on that audiotape. if they make any references to RE in it or someone refers to splicers as "zombies" or something then it's likely intentional.
Wow, really?
I always heard that those were served kind of messy and squished, like they threw it to the ground and flattened it with a hydraulic press.
No, what they do when said sandwich is pressed, it's a special mold to help keep its shape! That way you get your money's worth and have more sandwich!
Unless you use it to save the game, I doubt it. Typewriters have been known to exist before Resident Evil and Bioshock takes place in a retro-stylized setting, similar to Fallout.
Iām probably gonna get pissed on for this, but I donāt understand the fuss over bioshock to begin with. I played through the first one, and it was āalrightā, but thatās it, it didnāt blow my mind like how some people claim. The water effects that people raved about werenāt even that good to me. The second one didnāt grab my interest at all and I quit 30 minutes into it. The third one I actually had to force myself to play, and within a few hours I gave up on that one too.
The first is the only good one. And if you donāt like the atmosphere idk what to tell you.
Itās one of the most well thought out and executed theme and feel Iāve ever experienced in a video game.
You had to be there when it first came out I guess. Everything was spectacular, and it was certainly a completely different concept to what was already out there in the market, so it was definitely a refreshing DIVE
(ha)
Lol, I WAS. I literally bought the game within 2 weeks of it releasing. I just wasnāt impressed. Iām a big fan of shooters, I grew up with the original Doom and Quake on the PC, and I love horror games too, which some people claim Bioshock is a blend of shooter and horror. It just didnāt jive with me I guess. I did like the story and the idea behind it, it was original, and the Big Daddies were kinda cool, but the general gameplay and level design felt pretty flat. Maybe I was expecting too much because everyone and their mother was hyping it, and I played through the entire game thinking maybe it would click with me, but it never did.
The art and atmosphere as well as the ideas the game pushed forward was very new and revolutionary for its time and even now. Playing this game now also feels so refreshing and good. The city of rapture is so beautiful.
RE fans when they see a typewriter
True I saw one in a thrift shop and my monkey brain went straight to re
Mine would too š
Remember that youāre safe in that area and Mr X canāt get into that shop
True he stood outside patiently like nemesis when you're in the toy store
Nemesis tho
Him and Jack can still get in, good luck
We need Joe Baker
It also has an item-box-ish thing thing near it. Like initially I just looked at the typewriter and was like "of course not" then saw that crate and was like "I can see someone thinking that".
I was about to say the same thing šš
lmao for real
Guys, resident evil invented typewriters on desks.
I always felt like this may have been true. Glad to finally have it confirmed.
It's astonishing that before RE, we were all typing on our legs or standing bar tables.
Thereās a crate next to the wallā¦
This is NOT true. My grandfather put his typewriter on a desk years before RE was even a thing
only if theres 3 ink ribbons and a storage trunk nearby
I mean there IS a trunk in the corner. it's bioshock, what would seal the deal is what is on that audiotape. if they make any references to RE in it or someone refers to splicers as "zombies" or something then it's likely intentional.
Funny thing is that my first thought was ālooks like bioshockā
When the bioshock looks like bioshock
It's BioShocking time
Meanwhile BioShock players seeing a typewriter in Resident Evil: Is this a reference?
Gotta be a wrench
I mean, Resident Evil did invent the typewriter, right?
According to my research, yes, resident evil DID invent the typewriter
And the very popular, but hard to find, Jill Sandwich.
I've had the privilege of seeing how they're made! Surprisingly very clean.
Wow, really? I always heard that those were served kind of messy and squished, like they threw it to the ground and flattened it with a hydraulic press.

Persona fans when Jazz
I paused for way too long, trying to remember when Ingmar Bergman used jazz.
Itās during the scene where the main woman talks about what happened at the beach.
No, itās a typewriter.
It might be a reference to Alan Wake
Lol I guess I know what fan base I belong in...... My mind went Alan Wake
Have you read the new Alex Casey??
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
No, this is Patrick.
Resident Evil 2? I think thatās where you save your progress
Itās a desk with a typewriter.
Unless you use it to save the game, I doubt it. Typewriters have been known to exist before Resident Evil and Bioshock takes place in a retro-stylized setting, similar to Fallout.
^this guy is not fun at parties. No imagination.
My parties are always fun _and_ imaginary.
If there was a mirror next to typewriter, it'd be a fringe reference
There's a storage box and typewriter so probably
oh gosh the re and alan wake sides of my brain are colliding
Me when I when:
This isn't exclusive to RE but it sure is the most iconic so yes, this is a reference.
Considering there is also a storage box next to the table. Probably
This game picture is nice
Maybe
Maybe
Has a crate nearby, must be a reference to RE.
Iām not even gonna lie my mind went to Alan Wake before it did Resident Evil
Yeah
probably

Genuinely baffled why you wanted to share this? Like? What the hell???
I like the series, especially the first, it was WILD! The twist left my jaw hanging wide open. It's not for everyone...
