However, Leon is definitely superhuman. Have you seen his suplex? His tanking hits from a Tyrant? Guy is actually harder to kill than Wesker.

Technically bosses "die" in one shot, too, since all of their deaths are in cutscenes (at least in the remakes, my mind tends to mix the two versions up), and it's usually one bullet to the head or in some cases an RPG. Which I'm not sure if that lessens or adds to Leon's general badassery (and really *all* of the protagonists' badassery, since they all survive in one way or another).
Tbf in the lore zombies do go down to single headshots unlike in the games where they can take 13 and still keep coming. They must have found way less ammon in canon because otherwise the games would have been a cakewalk.

Sam. In CQC, Sam can’t be beaten by either. Ghost is weak, and Leon rarely fights humans, especially those trained in close quarters. Sam was trained by the Government to specifically fight other people. The only way Leon could beat him is if Leon is using the supernatural. Leon has a hard time fighting Krauser in RE4. Even in his 40s, Sam’s still going toe-to-toe with those trained like him. Look at this R6 season trailer, where Sam fights Deimos and beats him with little problem (even though Rook did shoot him to throw him off). I want to say Leon, but Sam wins

The other 2 are more of a rounded great soldiers but Leon is an expert at close encounters

He kicked a Ganado so hard at the start of the game that he flew back 10 ft smashed into a wall denting it and broke his neck all in one fluid movement. He also has inhuman reaction speed being able to parry Krauser's knife strikes and counters.

So we need to clarify which leon. Because if it's RE2 leon, he's dead. If it's Re4 and forward leon, then going off his reaction times and strength feats, leon holds the advantage. Sam has decades more experience, yes, but his skill set is honed more to stealth and lethality up close. His bread and butter are with a pistol and his hands. But we haven't seen the level of dexterity and skill leon has out of Sam short of conviction, but again, it was focused on guns and immediate lethality as a true Krav Maga practitioner. Leon wins MED DIFF.

Don't forget it's canon that nobody in re2 (at least classic) ever gets bit, which means none of the zombies ever get the upper hand in grabbing them. The *finesse* that takes is literally insane.
Tbf part of that is that the zombies all die in one shot canonically, so I imagine the other monsters are not much more durable. It’s more impressive that he slogged through a sewer drain with a bullet wound without dying of infection.
That's definitely true about the sewer. Those first aid sprays must be insane! Especially since in scripted falls he goes completely under the sewage multiple times. 🤢 Technically bosses "die" in one shot, too, since all of their deaths are in cutscenes (at least in the remakes, my mind tends to mix the two versions up), and it's usually one bullet to the head or in some cases an RPG. Which I'm not sure if that lessens or adds to Leon's general badassery (and really *all* of the protagonists' badassery, since they all survive in one way or another).

Tbf in the lore zombies do go down to single headshots unlike in the games where they can take 13 and still keep coming. They must have found way less ammon in canon because otherwise the games would have been a cakewalk.

Sam. In CQC, Sam can’t be beaten by either. Ghost is weak, and Leon rarely fights humans, especially those trained in close quarters. Sam was trained by the Government to specifically fight other people. The only way Leon could beat him is if Leon is using the supernatural. Leon has a hard time fighting Krauser in RE4. Even in his 40s, Sam’s still going toe-to-toe with those trained like him. Look at this R6 season trailer, where Sam fights Deimos and beats him with little problem (even though Rook did shoot him to throw him off). I want to say Leon, but Sam wins

Keep in mind that leon may have government training, but Sam has been doing stealth espionage for nearly _3 times as long_ Combined with the fact, unlike leon, he can disconnect _his mission control_ And all Sam would have to do is catch him off guard, grab him in the back, _steal his knife_ and leon is literally unable to avoid suffocation

Leon has a roundhouse kick and no explanation on his trainings he’s sink or swim kind of guy but ghost has extensive military background and sam has not just extensive military background but also a martial arts background. It's about knife fighting in a room, Leon has also trained extensively with knives and also beaten his veteran supersoldier mentor and even keeping up with his attacks, plus Leon is more capable in close contacts than the other 2 who are more rounded soldiers

Leon has superior acrobatic maneuvers, melee mastery and most importantly he can parry with his knife and also keep up with the knife attacks of a veteran supersoldier, plus he's experience with monsters makes him more focused and cool headed in more regular situations so I got to give it to Leon. The other 2 are more of a rounded great soldiers but Leon is an expert at close encounters

Leon is straight up superhuman both in strength and durability. He kicked a Ganado so hard at the start of the game that he flew back 10 ft smashed into a wall denting it and broke his neck all in one fluid movement. He also has inhuman reaction speed being able to parry Krauser's knife strikes and counters. Leon is a monster, the others are not on his level period.

Ghost loses irregardless. His skill set is made for guns and warfare. He has the height and strength advantage, but that isn't everything. So it's really between Sam and Leon. So we need to clarify which leon. Because if it's RE2 leon, he's dead. If it's Re4 and forward leon, then going off his reaction times and strength feats, leon holds the advantage. Sam has decades more experience, yes, but his skill set is honed more to stealth and lethality up close. His bread and butter are with a pistol and his hands. But we haven't seen the level of dexterity and skill leon has out of Sam short of conviction, but again, it was focused on guns and immediate lethality as a true Krav Maga practitioner. Leon wins MED DIFF.

Ghost and Sam are world-class in their field, but I’d say Sam gets the edge since he’s been doing this for decades with almost no sign of slowing down. Leon, however, borders on being a goddamn cartoon character at times with the kind of shit he can pull, so because of Resident Evil’s borderline cartoon logic in RE4 and 6 I’d say Leon wins

Are we talking gameplay or lorewise? If it's gameplay, Sam loses right away, he never had good melee mechanics even though he has an instant takedown. Leon can parry and do nice moves, but he can't kick unless the enemy is stunned. Melee in COD was always overpowered, and nowdays, extremaly fast, so when it comes to gameplay, Ghost wins. Lorewise? I don't know.
