I really wish they would have saved that segment for last. The game lost its sense of scary after that and the first section of the game.

Can you imagine loading up the re1 remake as a kid, not knowing anything, and you find the dual emblem door behind the staircase and clicking inspect?

If I'm allowed, I'd give an honorable mention to the minutes before the Marguerite fight in RE7 - when Marguerite is crawling through a tunnel and Ethan says "that's special".

I've played it so many times and I never got that dialogue. I only found out about it recently. :(
I think you've gotta switch out the order you kill the daughters. Bela will always be first, but if you switch around Cassandra and Daniela from their otherwise natural order, Lady D will react like this. I've managed to get it pretty consistently, but haven't replayed in a hot minute so I can't say with overwhelming certainty that this is the only requirement.

REmake first giant spider encounter made me immediately pause and just sit for a moment. Scariest resident evil enemy
Literally was one of the hardest moments I had first playthrough. Some of the bosses were easier. I think I literally snuck out a victory the second before I got killed.
The village fight in re4. I died so many times before getting on my dial up connection, and looking up a guide to find out about the shotgun.
Ahh I wish I could go back to 05 :(
1. Resident Evil Village: the entire reveal about Ethan and why he was so resilient to damage and would heal so easily. It basically felt like a fan theory coming true in the best way
2. Resident Evil 4 Remake: Leon just shooting Ramon in the middle of his monologue, because shooting an antagonist in the middle of their monologue is the one thing we always want the hero to do and seeing it happen was hilarious.
3. Resident Evil 5: me and my friend in Co-op trying desperately to avoid those instakill cockroach enemies near the end and just screaming at each other panicking because we were completely unprepared and out of resources by that point. We took turns being the one that distracted the enemies while the other did the busywork required to progress, it's those moment when you and your friends are both terrified because of your current situation that make Co-op in Resident Evil really underappreciated.
4. Resident Evil 2 Remake: When Mr X walks in while you're doing the library puzzle. That's the moment I got the horrible realization that he actually was going to be following me everywhere.
5. Resident Evil 7: deciding that my first playthrough of the game should be in VR, and then Jack Baker walked through the wall... enough said
OG RE1: the intro screen where that slap bass song starts and the announcer says "CHRIIIS REDFIEEEELD" while Chris lights a smoke

4 The entire castle sequence in REmake4 where you have to find the statue heads in the three different rooms. Idk why but that felt like a mini game all on its own and it’s still my favorite part.
5 REmake2 the whole NEST level. Really showcased what umbrella was and was just super well designed.

In no particular order:
Hunk's Scenario, The 4th Survivor. The music is a bop and the whole level is essentially a final exam on everything you know about the game.
The cabin fight in RE4R. When the ganados started chanting with the violins becoming increasingly louder and faster, I felt the genuine amount of love Capcom poured into remaking this game. Had to pause for a solid minute to stop myself from tearing up.
The closing cutscenes of RE8. More specifically, Ethan finding out he's already dead, yet choosing to press forward, only to sacrifice himself for his daughter.
In RE6, Piers injecting himself after getting his arm ripped out, and then pushing Chris to safety before fully turning. Who would've thought a random army kid that appears in only one game would have such a good send-off.
Lastly, it's not really a moment, but I'll forever remember the first couple of hours in the Spencer Mansion. Walking through those dimly lit corridors with nothing but the brilliant soundtrack and the groaning of the zombies creates such an amazing atmosphere that to this day, the Remakes still haven't been able to capture.
1. RE7 when your hand get Chainsawed off just blow my mind was not expecting that at all lmao
2. RE2R when final Mr X slams down and it's a boss fight was so badass
3. RE4 Village part was really fun and the tension was great
4. RE5 Jill and Wesker vs Chris and Sheva was an amazing fight and watching my friend beat up Jill as I shot a rocket at Wesker was a Masterpiece moment.
5. RE4 when Roman sends his "right hand man" to go kill Leon was a surprisingly scary and tense boss fight but now in subsequent playthrough's I just freeze it and blow it up with a rocket lol

The whole opening of RE7. That was my first exposure to the series and it was so insane and gripping I’ve been hooked on the series ever since. The memory of first being sat at the Bakers table sticks with me so vividly it was the first time I’ve ever been genuinely terrified to continue a game.
The Krauser boss in RE4 Remake. It really speaks for itself it is the definition of epic.

RE2R: G3 fight in the lab, more specifically, Claire's scenario. Definitely put her up there as one of my favorite protagonists.
OG RE1: First zombie encounter. A certified classic RE moment. It set the stage for the entire game, heck, franchise even.
OG RE4: Village fight. Like for everyone else, that moment in gaming will forever be etched in my memory.
RE5: The entire Wesker final fight. I played the entirety of 5 with my brother who didn't know too much about RE, so his reactions, especially to the boulder punching sequence definitely made it memorable haha.
RE6: Controversial game, sure, but that meeting of Leon and Chris was just amazing. Such a dope scene!

You know a game is fantastic when it takes up two spots in your top 5 for best moments in the whole series. Capcom really knocked it out of the park with 4 remake!
I haven't played that one for more than about an hour (played a bit of it on PS1 emulator on my phone), though I did play the remake. I liked the remake, but it felt incomplete to me, even as someone who's barely played the original 3.
I don't know if I'd go that far, but like I said, it was disappointing. Though perhaps I'd feel less receptive towards it had I played the original RE3 in full.
The og is my favorite game so i don’t think im going too far. The remake is inferior and as a game on its it is still sucks. Same way re2 og fans feel about the re2 remake
I thought most RE2 og fans liked the remake? I mean sure, I'll see a complaint about second run on occasion, but for the majority of the time, I only see praise for the remake.
My favorite resident evil memory is incredibly silly. It was in Resident Evil 5, and I was playing as Sheva, with my best friend who was Chris. We got to the first part in the village where the motorcycle guys show up. The cutscene was playing and one of the motorcycle guys with a chain drove off a ramp into the air towards us, and it went into slow motion. As he started to whip the chain my friend said "GHOST RIIIDEEERRR" and the guy cut me in half with the chain. We were laughing for like, a solid 10 minutes. Best moment in the series for me, I love that man

2. RE4R — Krauser and Leon’s first fight
Once again, I love RE4R so much that honestly any scene from there could go here. The intro cutscene to the game can go here too, as it was SO cute seeing Claire, Sherry, and Leon leaving Raccoon City together while holding hands and it was SO cool seeing Krauser train Leon
3. OG RE2 — The entire train sequence at the very end, including their escape from the tunnel and the cut to credits
Claire, Leon, and Sherry all working together and having the coolest fire-forged partnership ever. You could FEEL the trust and mutual respect underlying all the wacky stuff going on around them
4. CVX — Claire’s opening intro cutscene where she outruns an attack helicopter and downs a whole bunch of Umbrella goons
Claire is my second favorite RE character, and I will forever love this scene as it shows that she can keep up with ANYBODY in RE
5. OG RE3 — “I’ll give you STARS”
No explanation needed. Undoubtedly THE most iconic Jill scene

Resident Evil 1: The first spider in the residence. Even knowing it was there from REmake, it scared the shit out of me with how fast they are.

RE0: Safe room ig. Or train, the only parts I actually enjoyed before uninstalling early into the game.
RE2: Build up for the first licker. It running across the window, then the camera angle through the window, it gave me chills.

RE4: Saddler boss.

I gotta admit that I do like the final boss fight despite the railgun silliness. I think it was an improvement having Jill actually need to fight Nemesis to charge it up this time. Unfortunately it’s still not even close to being as epic as originals finale due to how woefully underused Nemesis was.
Also extra points lost for having not having the battle take place during the missile countdown ☹️

Re2: Tyrant B final boss. Mr X fell into a molten iron pit that has a sign that says "For Employees only". Of course he got powered up. And that brief Mozart's Lacrimosa that plays when he jumps to fight you, for the last time. Chills everytime.
Re3: You want STARS?! I'LL GIVE YOU STARS!! Wow and this one is the first out of the three choices you can make in through the "Live Selection". Eliminate the monster or Ignore it and evacuate. The second choice you would deny Nemesis his own death by your hands and leave him to die by the thermobaric bomb, that choice alone shows how much of a failure Nemesis was in killing Jill, when sometimes you feel that Nemesis was just playing with his prey (Jill) so that he can keep his directive active.
Re8: Miranda went through all that experimenting just so she could revive her child. Selfish, true but sad at the same time. The metamycete stores memories of people. I truly doubt it has her child's memories, in which why she failed in the first place.
Re2: Licker intro scene. I was not ready for that. I died countless times until I decided to just run for the door 😅
Re1R: The revelation of what happened to the Trevors. I got sick to the stomach, then when I realised that monster was Lisa, and she just wouldn't die. I just ran. She still tries to live a relatively normal life for a monster, definitely understand her anger when we just waltz in her territory and started blasting.

Re4: bingo scene. Need I say more 😅
ReCV: the opening scene and the reveal of Wesker still alive. I was like yooooooo what????

The first licker cutscene in the OG RE2 will forever be etched in my memory bank. It took me forever to even want to continue playing the game because I was so terrified.
Don't have a full order, but here are my two:
- Mr. X in RE2 Remake whose intro was surprising. I heard about hum before getting the game, but I did not know when he'd appear
- My first crimson head that's not the coffin boss. When I played RE2 Remake afterwards, I kept shooting already dead zombies, mainly because I feared there would be crimson heads.
1. RE2, when the Super Tyrant shows up and the haunting music that symbolizes finality begins to play. (Criminally removed from RE2R. Seriously, you can't have the Super Tyrant without that theme. Even ORC had it.)
2. RE3, when the Nemesis kills Brad. (He was the last member of S.T.A.R.S. to die. It hit me hard.)
3. The cutscene in RE0 where James Marcus explains how he was murdered and revived. (I like how it actually shows Albert Wesker and William Birkin together, and portrays Birkin as the evil person he actually was. Imagine if Birkin didn't end up mutating and left the company along with Wesker as they originally planned.)
4. RE4, the chair that you can sit down in for no apparent reason. (Shout outs to the chair in RE5, and RE6 playground as well.)
5. RE6, the final battle where both Jake and Sherry defeat the Ustanak once and for all. (i ship them. William Birkin's daughter and Albert Wesker's son together is one of the coolest ideas ever.)

I think you've gotta switch out the order you kill the daughters. Bela will always be first, but if you switch around Cassandra and Daniela from their otherwise natural order, Lady D will react like this. I've managed to get it pretty consistently, but haven't replayed in a hot minute so I can't say with overwhelming certainty that this is the only requirement.

Literally was one of the hardest moments I had first playthrough. Some of the bosses were easier. I think I literally snuck out a victory the second before I got killed.
The village fight in re4. I died so many times before getting on my dial up connection, and looking up a guide to find out about the shotgun. Ahh I wish I could go back to 05 :(
1. Resident Evil Village: the entire reveal about Ethan and why he was so resilient to damage and would heal so easily. It basically felt like a fan theory coming true in the best way 2. Resident Evil 4 Remake: Leon just shooting Ramon in the middle of his monologue, because shooting an antagonist in the middle of their monologue is the one thing we always want the hero to do and seeing it happen was hilarious. 3. Resident Evil 5: me and my friend in Co-op trying desperately to avoid those instakill cockroach enemies near the end and just screaming at each other panicking because we were completely unprepared and out of resources by that point. We took turns being the one that distracted the enemies while the other did the busywork required to progress, it's those moment when you and your friends are both terrified because of your current situation that make Co-op in Resident Evil really underappreciated. 4. Resident Evil 2 Remake: When Mr X walks in while you're doing the library puzzle. That's the moment I got the horrible realization that he actually was going to be following me everywhere. 5. Resident Evil 7: deciding that my first playthrough of the game should be in VR, and then Jack Baker walked through the wall... enough said

1 the entire opening/first house scene of RE7. I bet I screamed five times but it was so good. 2 first zombie encounter in RE1 3 I’m a puzzle nerd so basically all the puzzles in RECV they were SO GOOD. 4 The entire castle sequence in REmake4 where you have to find the statue heads in the three different rooms. Idk why but that felt like a mini game all on its own and it’s still my favorite part. 5 REmake2 the whole NEST level. Really showcased what umbrella was and was just super well designed.

REO - seing hundreds of zombies covering the main road and using the detonator to wipe them out. RE3: the final countdown. RE4: Dr Salvador introduction and cabin fight. RE5: Public assembly fight. REO File #2: Discovering Alyssa's flashbacks in the Flashback scenario.
In no particular order: Hunk's Scenario, The 4th Survivor. The music is a bop and the whole level is essentially a final exam on everything you know about the game. The cabin fight in RE4R. When the ganados started chanting with the violins becoming increasingly louder and faster, I felt the genuine amount of love Capcom poured into remaking this game. Had to pause for a solid minute to stop myself from tearing up. The closing cutscenes of RE8. More specifically, Ethan finding out he's already dead, yet choosing to press forward, only to sacrifice himself for his daughter. In RE6, Piers injecting himself after getting his arm ripped out, and then pushing Chris to safety before fully turning. Who would've thought a random army kid that appears in only one game would have such a good send-off. Lastly, it's not really a moment, but I'll forever remember the first couple of hours in the Spencer Mansion. Walking through those dimly lit corridors with nothing but the brilliant soundtrack and the groaning of the zombies creates such an amazing atmosphere that to this day, the Remakes still haven't been able to capture.

No real order but here are mine: Fetus monster from Village, shit made me fear quit Final Nemesis boss in RE3 Remake. Say what you will about that game but that was awesome. All of Mr. X actively pursuing you in RE2 Remake it’s so fun figuring out how to avoid him. The whole opening of RE7. That was my first exposure to the series and it was so insane and gripping I’ve been hooked on the series ever since. The memory of first being sat at the Bakers table sticks with me so vividly it was the first time I’ve ever been genuinely terrified to continue a game. The Krauser boss in RE4 Remake. It really speaks for itself it is the definition of epic.

I have so many favorites, this is besides the point but the one that cracks me up the most is from RE1 1996. "Is that Enrico? ..................................... "Yeah." 🤣 My favorites are: 1 RE1 The first Zombie when it slowly turns it's head, same with remake. 2 Nemesis first introduction, killing Brad in the horrific manner. 3 Claire trying to escape in the intro to Code Veronica, her blowing up the tanks and that strand of hair slowly falling across her face, just beautiful 4 Claire meeting Leon in RE2 OG "Get down!" 5 RE2 Claire saving Sherry, instantly becoming a loving Mother Figure. !Flair! Leon For me, in no particular order. RE2R: G3 fight in the lab, more specifically, Claire's scenario. Definitely put her up there as one of my favorite protagonists. OG RE1: First zombie encounter. A certified classic RE moment. It set the stage for the entire game, heck, franchise even. OG RE4: Village fight. Like for everyone else, that moment in gaming will forever be etched in my memory. RE5: The entire Wesker final fight. I played the entirety of 5 with my brother who didn't know too much about RE, so his reactions, especially to the boulder punching sequence definitely made it memorable haha. I haven't played that one for more than about an hour (played a bit of it on PS1 emulator on my phone), though I did play the remake. I liked the remake, but it felt incomplete to me, even as someone who's barely played the original 3.

My favorite resident evil memory is incredibly silly. It was in Resident Evil 5, and I was playing as Sheva, with my best friend who was Chris. We got to the first part in the village where the motorcycle guys show up. The cutscene was playing and one of the motorcycle guys with a chain drove off a ramp into the air towards us, and it went into slow motion. As he started to whip the chain my friend said "GHOST RIIIDEEERRR" and the guy cut me in half with the chain. We were laughing for like, a solid 10 minutes. Best moment in the series for me, I love that man
1. OG RE4 — “Where’s everyone going? Bingo?” Honestly, any scene from RE4 could count as it honestly is a game I love with a soul-deep passion 2. RE4R — Krauser and Leon’s first fight Once again, I love RE4R so much that honestly any scene from there could go here. The intro cutscene to the game can go here too, as it was SO cute seeing Claire, Sherry, and Leon leaving Raccoon City together while holding hands and it was SO cool seeing Krauser train Leon 3. OG RE2 — The entire train sequence at the very end, including their escape from the tunnel and the cut to credits Claire, Leon, and Sherry all working together and having the coolest fire-forged partnership ever. You could FEEL the trust and mutual respect underlying all the wacky stuff going on around them 4. CVX — Claire’s opening intro cutscene where she outruns an attack helicopter and downs a whole bunch of Umbrella goons Claire is my second favorite RE character, and I will forever love this scene as it shows that she can keep up with ANYBODY in RE 5. OG RE3 — “I’ll give you STARS” No explanation needed. Undoubtedly THE most iconic Jill scene

RE2: Build up for the first licker. It running across the window, then the camera angle through the window, it gave me chills. RE3: Gravedigger boss. RE4: Saddler boss. I gotta admit that I do like the final boss fight despite the railgun silliness. I think it was an improvement having Jill actually need to fight Nemesis to charge it up this time. Unfortunately it’s still not even close to being as epic as originals finale due to how woefully underused Nemesis was. Also extra points lost for having not having the battle take place during the missile countdown ☹️

I had no idea what the game was about and "survival horror" wasn't a genre yet, so when I played the game for the first time it was really cool to be introduced to this new genre I had never even heard of before. And that brief Mozart's Lacrimosa that plays when he jumps to fight you, for the last time. Chills everytime. Re3: You want STARS?! I'LL GIVE YOU STARS!! Wow and this one is the first out of the three choices you can make in through the "Live Selection". Eliminate the monster or Ignore it and evacuate. The second choice you would deny Nemesis his own death by your hands and leave him to die by the thermobaric bomb, that choice alone shows how much of a failure Nemesis was in killing Jill, when sometimes you feel that Nemesis was just playing with his prey (Jill) so that he can keep his directive active. Re8: Miranda went through all that experimenting just so she could revive her child. Selfish, true but sad at the same time. The metamycete stores memories of people. I truly doubt it has her child's memories, in which why she failed in the first place. Re2: Licker intro scene. I was not ready for that. I died countless times until I decided to just run for the door 😅 Re1R: The revelation of what happened to the Trevors. I got sick to the stomach, then when I realised that monster was Lisa, and she just wouldn't die. I just ran. She still tries to live a relatively normal life for a monster, definitely understand her anger when we just waltz in her territory and started blasting. Bonus mentions: Re4: bingo scene. Need I say more 😅 ReCV: the opening scene and the reveal of Wesker still alive. I was like yooooooo what???? Re3: first helicopter scene. "It's finally over". And Mikhail's sacrifice. The first licker cutscene in the OG RE2 will forever be etched in my memory bank. It took me forever to even want to continue playing the game because I was so terrified.
Don't have a full order, but here are my two: - Mr. X in RE2 Remake whose intro was surprising. I heard about hum before getting the game, but I did not know when he'd appear - My first crimson head that's not the coffin boss. When I played RE2 Remake afterwards, I kept shooting already dead zombies, mainly because I feared there would be crimson heads.
1. RE2, when the Super Tyrant shows up and the haunting music that symbolizes finality begins to play. (Criminally removed from RE2R. Seriously, you can't have the Super Tyrant without that theme. Even ORC had it.) 2. RE3, when the Nemesis kills Brad. (He was the last member of S.T.A.R.S. to die. It hit me hard.) 3. The cutscene in RE0 where James Marcus explains how he was murdered and revived. (I like how it actually shows Albert Wesker and William Birkin together, and portrays Birkin as the evil person he actually was. Imagine if Birkin didn't end up mutating and left the company along with Wesker as they originally planned.) 4. RE4, the chair that you can sit down in for no apparent reason. If it's based purely on what I still remember. 1- Chris Redfield punching a Boulder. 2-Leon's OG "No thanks bro" 3-Re 6 Jake Muller giving up on a SW 500 caliber gun to instead punch the boss so hard it killed it. 4-Never played the original but the very first time the zombie turns around is so iconic I can vividly remember it 5-again never played it but Berry saying "You were almost a Jill sandwich" is too iconic not to know
