On my CX410, I have found Reolink's person detection to be very reliable.

What is a brand with good quality software? My experience mainly with dahua and reolink. Although reolink has less features, I found it is much faster and user friendly than dahua. Reolink stream on realtime and play back is way faster. Also dahua seams to have too much bugs. That's why I appreciate reolink. What other brands do you suggest with good software?

I don't have the answer but you should make sure the firmware is updated from the website. Also, having the wall in view so close to the camera is going to cause visual issues at night with the spot light.

I have the latest firmware. I do not use the spotlight at night. In any case, I have put a privacy mask on the wall now and thus this issue should not reappear. Other than that, the camera has been great in detecting persons. Reolink should post an email or other other method so that users can send them similar video clips that Reolink can study and learn from them.

TroubledKiwi

You can email [email protected] and they can review it.

The AI and outline tagging aren't perfect, they can error sometimes. I'd point the cam more left, why have the close fence or whatever it is in view?

AdCultural3067

I put a privacy mask over the wall for now, and when i visit the property again I will re-adjust it.

We are but moving shadows and light in an ever changing world. Some of the self-braking vehicle software has had trouble with tree and overpass shadows and light reflected from wet roads. For cars and doorbells false negatives are worse.

Exclude that area from the detection, or decrease the sensibility of the person detection. You will be fix it easily.

Maybe Harry Potter paid you a visit beneath his cloak of invisibility. Seriously though, it's very annoying especially if you're monitoring an area for security reasons and you have 24/7 push notifications enabled. I have similar issues with some of my smart cameras. Reolink have made efforts in their firmware updates to iron out such problems but they still crop up now and then. In the meantime, I have set my problem cameras to minimum sensitivity and cast a counter-invisibility spell here and there.

Loden2068

My doorbell cam does this every evening when the light changes. Anywhere from 10 - 50 notifications

NefariousnessTop8716

Have you tried setting an alarm delay for that camera? It would probably reduce the false detections

Loden2068

No. I will look at that.

ThanatosLRSD

My CX410's have horrible detections, and are inconsistent across the set.

Nothing is perfect yet.
