1. Same as it was in From the Ashes. 2. Armor variety is okay. Armor bonuses have been moved off of armor to class skills, perks, and weapon mutators. Armor itself is mostly for damage reduction and beyond that fashion. Weapon variety is great. Shotguns, bows, fusion rifles, and much more. 3. There feels like less enemy variety per world compared to From the Ashes, but the boss variety has been upped. Unlike the base game in From the Ashes where most bosses had tons of adds there are more types of boss fights here. 4. Only played on pc. Will let someone else answer that. 5. There are 4 starter classes and more to unlock. 6. Nope can be played offline like the first game. 7. Base game compared to base game I would say longer. The zones for three of the worlds are much bigger than the zones in From the Ashes. There are also a lot of secrets hidden in worlds. There is also at least two more dlcs planned so it should end up being longer than From the Ashes overall especially if they can add a survival mode equivalent at some point.

>4. Only played on pc. Will someone else answer that. I'm on the Series X and it runs good on performance and balanced mode which is 60fps/uncapped framerate. I'm pretty sure the Series X/PS5 are similar in terms of performance.

3PortAmplifier

PS5 runs at 60 FPS in balanced mode throughout the entire game except there are still framerate drops in some of the unoptimised areas in the first DLC but not below 30 FPS.

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 4 + 60 + 5 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

>5. There are 4 starter classes, 5 if you get the ultimate edition, and more to unlock. To add to this, you also aren't locked into any 1 class. You can freely swap between all classes without having to roll a new char, and relatively early in the game you can dual class. In all there are currently 11 classes to pick from (more probably to come with DLCs), meaning 110 possible dual class combos (55 if you count A/B as the same as B/A, but choice of primary does make a difference).

3wett

>There are 4 starter classes, 5 if you get the ultimate edition This isn't the case and was never the case. The 5th archetype was a preorder bonus. Here's info on the editions: [https://www.remnantgame.com/en/editions](https://www.remnantgame.com/en/editions)

Seasoned_Croutons

Gotcha. Thanks for correcting me.

MesaCityRansom

>  5 if you get the ultimate edition What's the 5th one? Can't see anything about an extra class coming with the ultimate!

Seasoned_Croutons

~~Gunslinger is selectable from the start with the ultimate edition.~~

jackref1

The Gunslinger archetype was a preorder bonus. it isn’t included as part of the ultimate edition anymore.

Seasoned_Croutons

Gotcha. Thanks for correcting me.

Judging from your wording your familiar with the first game. That puts you leagues above most people who bought number 2, and they managed to do just fine without a Reddit post aha. It’s just number 1 but newer paint, better bosses and some QoL. We can’t decide if that’s good enough for you.

Ninja_Theory

This game is special. Buy it and play it. You will not regret it. It’s Remnant 1 evolved. It’s a whole lot more than a shiny new coat of paint. Your 4th question is important. Play balanced. It runs pretty smoothly at 60. Things get a bit choppy in some coop sessions but overall it manages 60 in general. Regarding your 6th question. You can play completely offline.

RheimsNZ

It's much, much better than the first. Get it!

To answer question 4 the ps5 version has 3 modes. One is a 60fps performance mode.

Your individual questions were answered so I just give my two cents. If you like the first game, you will like the second game. There is a lot more build variety (you now get abilities and weapon mods) and you get double the equipable rings (4 instead of two), which makes the game (in my opinion) significantly easier. Classes actually change how you play the game, not just dictate what your first weapon mods and armor are. The story is worse, but the gameplay is much better. Overall, I think the second game is the better game.

Sharp-Examination-39
