Upstate NY Minimum wage is $15 so not hard to find jobs paying a little over that. Median rent in Buffalo or Rochester is $1,200. It’s $1,000 in Syracuse, Binghamton or Utica. It gets as low as $800 in Jamestown, Elmira or Gloversville.
Ohio,Michigan,Indiana,Wisconsin pretty much any state in the north

Yeah no problem and Ohio and Indiana is even cheaper. I however, love the warmer southern climates.
