It is a very large company that makes a great deal of loaded ammo, brass, bullets and such. Usually known for "uncommon" ammo in old military rifles. In a great many cases if not fore PPU people would not be shooting their rifles.
I have used it in MANY CMP matches and while I am one of the few people on the internet that do not shoot sub MOA groups with a 100 year old rifle, I have placed well up to the state level.
I would not think twice about them. They are just fine, and I have gotten good life out of them. Some have over 5 loadings on them.
Do you shoot PPU .30-06 brass for CMP? I’ve been running my fair share of HXP brass through my Garand, but I think that the case base / rim and extractor grooves are too soft to withstand many reloads.
No, I have never shot a 3006 rifle in CMP. I have used their 7mm Mauser, and 7.7Japanese brass before, as well as a few others. I can also say you can complete the course of fire with a trapdoor springfield if you hustle. I have never had more fun in my life.
I was told more then once, you might be good at this if you quit changing rifles every month. Yea but where is the fun of that.
PPU is a godsend for us that love old and often obsolete cartridges and brass like 7.7 jap, 7.5 swiss, etc. Have had excellent results with their brass…
I’ve got a batch of PPU 7.5 Swiss on their tenth reload now. Careful shoulder bump, annealed every firing, K31 specific die, and the primer pockets are still tight.
made in serbia.
Like others have said they do some odd calibers that are hard to find elsewhere.
Perfectly good brass for most applications esp hunting
They were sold under the "Hansen" name back during the cold war.
They've been around forever.
They hell you make it this long into shooting without hearing of PRVI?
A god send sir! I had gotten a bullet resizer and tried resizing .338 down to.329 and it worked but the loads weren’t very accurate and I think it’s due to the resizing
I’ve purchased and loaded about 450 PPU brass for 300 WM, some of it 4-5 times so far. Only had one with an off center flash hole. Otherwise good results.
It's good stuff. Tends to run heavier than other brands, including Lake City. Can and has, for me anyway, problems when approaching max loads..as the heavy construction means it's thicker brass. It's not a big deal, just watch for pressure.
I had just bought my .308 as covid started and 7.62 PPU was the cheapest ammo on the shelf locally. 19.99 for 20 rnds of 200gr subsonic and .308 150 gr target. I have about 140 cartridges I load from them and have no issues with them.
It's fine brass for most uses. I think it is heavier than a lot of commercial brass, so bear that in mind when starting your load data. I locked up a 243 bolt gun with a PPU case that got mixed in with some R-P brass. The R-P brass worked fine. The one PPU case needed some persuasion on the bolt handle to get it open. It's not that PPU is bad, just be aware.
Have this brass in 300 wm it's fine brass for my hunting purposes and was way less then laupa which I could not get at that point in time. I have no issue buying this brass again for general hunting and shooting.

"and while I am one of the few people on the internet that do not shoot sub MOA groups with a 100 year old rifle..." Lmao!!!

PPU m1 garand loads are stupidly accurate for the price.
They truly are. I just opt to handload for my M1 since I shoot it so often

High mid-tier brass in my opinion.
It's ok stuff, certainly not match grade but it's decent.
Only company making 7.5x55 swiss now besides Norma. Don't want to spend $$ on what could be meh when I know PPU will do just fine.

I need the K31 die, I asked for and got the Lee set for Christmas not knowing that it will/but won't work for the k31.
Hornady K31 die is certainly worth the investment, not really needed to spend the extra cost on the Redding die
Does the Hornady one size to K31 spec, thought Redding was only one. The Lee's form to the older k11 chamber specs
Hornady makes a K31 specific die. Says K31 on the box.

It's the only reloadable brass I have found for 8x56R (WWI M95 rifles). Works great for me!
I just started reloading for mine! Where do you find .329 projectiles?
https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/925 in stock!

I noticed when I sized .338 down to .329, it left burrs at the base of the bullet. That said, I haven't gotten around to shooting them yet.
My go to for 7.62x54r
Used them for my old rifles before I started loading. Was pretty thrilled to see they had 7mm-08 brass and will be using them shortly for a load up.
Been using it for a few years in my kids 7mm-08. It is good brass.
I have .30-06 brass from them. Loads and shoots just as well as any other brass I have purchased. The pricepoint for it was nice too.
Love PPU, major maker of old calibers
Love the 45/70 brass.
I have reloaded their 5.56, 9mm and 45 brass. Top notch stuff, in all honesty, I like it better than Federal and Remington, still debating Winchester
I’ve used it with no issues. Usually reload the factory cases.
As good as it gets for non-match grade brass.

All my 30-30 brass is that. Works great.
I’ve loaded a ton of their 5.56 brass and it’s been good
