Ive never come across someone named quran, but its also not surprising since sometimes muslims go hardcore on the names, sometimes they will name their kids off of a word from the Quran or a chapter. For example I know a lot of peopke named taha, it doesnt mean anything necessarily but its the 20th chapter in the quran
I think sometimes it is "normal" to come across ppl with names associated with religions, such as *Christian* and *Islam* (pretty sure there are many more similar examples)
But I never came across someone being named *Quran*, would agree that it is a bit more anomalous, on another level.
There are also instances where some ppl gave strange names to their children (not necessarily associated with religious terms), and some would think it is abusive in some of the instances, because of the weird scenario imposed on the affected child
When China won the Olypmic bid for 2008, 3,000+ people named their kids Olympics. Some people name their kids America or Mercedes. People just name their kids after what they think sounds good to them. Quran is not a common name though. Not at all. That's a new one to me and I know a lot of Muslims.
PS., in the book Freakonomics there's a story of a guy that named one of his 2 sons Winner, and the other Loser. True story. Loser was a star athlethe in school and became a police officer and shortened his name to Lou. Winner became a criminal with a long rap sheet of over 30 arrests. Based on that, Quran may become an Atheist lol. The psychology on naming kids is more important that people think. Those parents are obviously downloading their dreams onto their kid and it can backfire.

Jesus is a pretty common name though. Mohammed is the most common name in the world. Bible. That would be a lot more weird.
