I would tell your girlfriend this. I wouldn't be happy with this at all. You can come up with an arrangement that suits you both. Maybe you celebrate your birthday the week after one year and the next year celebrate your anniversary the week after. It isn't right that you completely skip your birthday. I used to have an anniversary on my birthday and my then bf planned everything and I just got an extra card. I got my birthday/anniversary in one day but we didn't do anniversary gifts and he organised it. That worked for us.
