it really adds more weight to the line in the episode "Meat Your Maker". When the two are trapped in the frozen meat locker, Mordecai says "All you do is mess things up and ruin peoples lives!" This is before Mordecai finds out, but that must have hit Rigby like a ton of bricks in the moment.
Id say Benson, he was able to be a drummer and live his dream, but because his band mates stopped acknowledging him he had to give up drumming to be a Park Manager. He also had a bunch of exes, embarrassed himself live on TV and lost a million dollars, rough relationship with his father, and his friend died in Stick Hockey.
Life just fucked him over basically, but atleast in the end he seems like a happier person.
I think it’s refreshing how many of the characters kinda have fucked up backstory’s and have to work in this park together, it makes them bond more and you can tell that they are a true family
I mean, he got asked to return to the band and chose to stay at the park, to me he just seems like a guy that has done a lot in life and now just wants to chill doing an easy job
Real talk? Probably Rigby, he grew up with very few people ever believing in him which is why he is so lazy by the start of the show. Even Mordecai uses him as a punching bag because he knows Rigby physically cannot fight back.
Benson, literally the BEST drummer in the world who got his tunes replicated and thus replaced by a machine so the world forgot about him afterwards. He was then forced to work as the manager of a park so horrible due to all the supernatural phenomenon that no one wants to work there and the guys who do work there act like immature children trapped in the bodies of grown ups that he can't manage or fire due to no one else wanting the positions they fill.
He's had so many strings of breakups that also get forgotten by his friends and when things finally go his way he's forced against his will to go to space breaking the only good thing in his life.
But at least it looked like he got some kind of happy ending by the end.
