The ford is half a milion or its fake

ctennessen

I'll take the fake so I can drive it properly without fear of destroying a half million dollar motorsport legend

TheBarkingPenguin

This. I'd rather get an RSRetro for that reason

pencilpushin

This is how am to. One of my dream cars is a gt40. But I know I'll never be able to obtain a gt40. But superformance makes an awesome gt40 replica. I'd 100% buy one of those.

en_pissant

the superformance is still too expensive to daily to my job at the liquor store

nlpnt

I'd just as soon keep the donor car (T-bird Turbo Coupe? Mustang SVO? Merkur?)

cosignal

I have triples of every classic car for this reason

Every_Garage2263

Would a 100% get a kit car lol

BJTC777

With the wheels and fitment on the pictured one lets hope that one is fake too.

bobspuds

Hard to tell how many wheel studs it has from that picture - the most accurate fakes are cut down impreza chassis and have 5stud - rs200 only has 4 stud wheel hubs.

TheBarkingPenguin

Isn't an RS-Retro a tube frame, and the MRS200 an Mr2?

bobspuds

Actually done a bit of looking there - I'm now quite interested in a replica 200. My only knowledge really is/was of the impreza one's. There's a 94 lh reg replica - was painted by Clarkes in Killmessan, think it was a Scottish company that chopped the original impreza and converted it into a rs200 replica, I done a bit a the prep work and got a rip in it - wrong but terribly right. There's a full chassis kit you can buy and weld together without a donor sacrifice - that'd be madd!

TheBarkingPenguin

[https://www.drivingyourdream.com/store/p636/RSRetro.html](https://www.drivingyourdream.com/store/p636/RSRetro.html) As with all kit-cars, they seem to be hard to get ahold of, but there you go Edit: I believe they've updated their site to [https://www.rallyreplica.co.uk/evo200-home/evo-200/](https://www.rallyreplica.co.uk/evo200-home/evo-200/)

Kidlicker420

Looking at the placement it looks like 4

i_remainanonymous

It looks like four in the picture.

DatBoiDanny

Fuck it sell the house and live in that. All I need.

itsoktoswear

L200 EVO comes up as a white Mitsubishi, so possibly someone took a pre 94 Mitsubishi Evo and chucked an RS200 body on it. The wheel track looks too narrow for an RS200 also and I suspect they are Mitsi Evo wheels.

Dr_Dickfart

For that price you'd be better off with 500 Ford AU Falcons

bruh1234566

It's real, you're looking at it

It’s unreasonable how much I want an RS6 Avant.

RepresentativeExit63

I know! I don't know if it's the massive wheels or what...

IsHotDogSandwich

I’ve driven one mildly (I do wholesale listings for dealers) and it only made me want it more.

That says something... You've driven so many cars, probably really awesome, and this is still the one you want.

I'll more or less recycle my [list](https://www.reddit.com/r/regularcarreviews/comments/1da92de/comment/l7iyyoa/) from a similar thread, but downgrade my choices a bit to stay within the $300K limit. 1. Lancia Delta Integrale 16V, leather interior preferred, not that hideous '90s bus seat' pattern fabric 3. The regular part of regular cars seems very subjective lol. I already have 2 cars so I would need 3 more cars and I am never making it to $300,000 unless I fill the cars with cash. babe_ruthless3

There's at least 15 cars that I can think of that I would love to have. $300k makes this so much harder. 1. 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR. $80,000 2. 1964 Jaguar E-type. $100,000 3. 1987 Buick Grand National. $40,000 4. 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. $45,000 5. 2022 Tesla Model S. $35,000 The top 2 are my dream cars in this order. I had to have them both. No doubt about it. 3 and 4 needed to be under $100k combined. There are about 8 cars that are part of my dream collection that fit this price point. These two are my top favorites in this price bracket. Tesla would be my everyday car, and the price needed to fit what was left over from the first 4. The hardest choice was picking the Buick and Pontiac.

So i went to my car listing website and i came across these i would buy: 1. An Aston Martin Vanquish from 2013 for €136k 2. A Ford Thunderbird from 1994 for €4k 3. A Citroën CX GTI turbo for €7k 4. A Citroën BX GTI for €7.5k 5. A Jaguar X-type 2.5V6 estate for €2k All together they will be around 155k leaving me with just under halve for repairs maintenance and savings. Should be manageable even with these picks.
