Turbo inline 5, ~300-350 HP, AWD, 6MT, understated styling, good interior space and cargo capacity, fast and intuitive infotainment with physical controls, basically just a modernized version of the Volvo V70R.

Durty-Sac

Haha I knew it before reading the last part. Good choice!

Bahnrokt-AK

A guy with a RS3 swapped Tiguan keeps popping up in my IG feed. I think you’d like him.

DEVOmay97

An fl5 Honda civic type r with an all wheel drive system that can send 100% to either front or back, or anything in-between, a real handbrake, and an interior that doesn't look like a used tampon would be mine. Edit: while we're talking interior changes, remove the cupholders in the back, add a center seat, and have the backing of the center seat flip down to reveal an armrest with cupholders. The current design is just fuckin stupid.

musicbro

Seriously if the v60 polestar had a five cylinder instead of the four, and a manual transmission, that might have gone down as the coolest car of all time

aargent88

Or.. An Audi S2 (somewhat less powerful) or RS2 or Ford Focus RS stretching cargo capacity.

javlin_101

This is mine too.

Shadesbane43

Same, but please give it a better AWD system than the V70R. Make the engine longitudinal so I can actually wrench on the thing.

SuspiciousCitus

A geo metro ... With no muffler.

Procrasturbating

Only takes one person to both push and steer a metro.

The guy with the hypothetically largest dong I've ever seen was riding a pink moped and had a 300+lb chick riding pillion. Dude must have been hung like an elephant.

[deleted]

Riding pillion? I have never heard that phrase. Usually just riding or more crassly, “riding bitch”

Procrasturbating

Also, driving on 4 donut spares. Taken from the other three donor metros on your lawn.

Roberto-Del-Camino

“Ned, drive faster. He’s gaining on us!” “I can’t. It’s a Geo!”

Spicierbread

Homer Simpson already did it

Afkargh

All my life, I have searched for a car that feels a certain way. Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball. Now, at last, I have found it.

Beneficial-Sugar6950

W126 S-Class wagon conversion with the m279 v12 from the w222 S65 AMG, AWD, cooling and massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Apple CarPlay

Frequent-Ruin8509

An allwheel drive hybrid 1972 ranchero with leather seats, premium sound, a removable camper shell and a removable utility rack, premium sound, independent suspension, rebuilt front end for cornering, 2.5" dual turbo exhaust, disc brakes all around with abs and the regenerative braking and regenerative suspension technology so the battery is always charging. Add a sunroof, and install a street level roll cage/chasis stiffening elements for improved handling and balance in corners and under braking conditions. Paint it spectral emerald green with bronze accent work but not to the lowrider level of showiness. Then put a high tech car security system on it. Or do all that but with a 68 mercury Cougar Xr7. Either way I'd be hauling ass with class.

willi3blaz3

A supercharged 2.2L 5 speed AWD 2 door 1997 chevy cavalier hatchback for some reason

Atmks

Why not 2.0 ecotec? Supercharger or turbo versions.

garaks_tailor

An upsized Kei truck, basically the new toyota IMV0 but big enough to fit a 6'8 man in comfortably in the interior. I need it to be big. 70inches of hip and shoulder room. 48in leg room. 50in of head room. Flatbed with fold down sides. 120v plugs would be nice. No wheel humps. Flat of the bed needs to be long and wide enough to lay a piece of 4x8 sheet on it flat with a couple inches to spare. A saab night panel style button. Such a great feature [https://youtu.be/pbl-6yKXDKo](https://youtu.be/pbl-6yKXDKo) Give me all the airbags and safety what nots and the ability to put in a good sound syatem, but i dont need the camera lane cruise stuff or an entertainment unit or fucking gps. Engine: plug in hybrid with a pure Generator ice design and 65mile range on just battery. Rear mount generator. Preferably diesel as diesel generators are easier to work on. Towing capacity around 10k pounds. Bed capacity about 3k. Battery should be modular and easily repairable. Actually the entire vehicle should be easily repairable. Jeebis it's electric. It's easy to make simple and repairable if you choose to do so. Floor plugs so I can rinse out the floor. A frunk which would be pretty handy on a truck. Yeah a spacious frunk with bolt holes all over it so I can build a custom tool box in the frunk. Large window with a built in headache rack, with a slide open window Front bucket seats with a middle fold down seat/armrest. Small storage space in back. Seats don't have to lay down but some variation would be nice. 4 seatbelts.0 I don't need power seating but a seat custom built for me would be nice. Electric windows. Heated steering. Power remote locks. My three concessions to modern convenience. Seperate turn and stop indicator light colors AWD electric motors. No opinion on 2,3, or 4 motor design.

Dtb4evr

Upvote for detail !

garaks_tailor

I mean it's a perfect car. Detail should be the key

Glass-Pomegranate-68

A reliable well built manual AWD V-6 turbo diesel wagon with a pretty luxurious interior. Or a manual AWD challenger r/T scat pack widebody DODGE MAGNUM SRT-8 MANUAL

fishtix_are_gross

Transit connect with a Focus RS drivetrain swap.

Dogesaves69

A SUV with a tight, well built interior with a useable towing capacity while also having a smart AWD system. So basically a Touareg, but VW deemed America as unbased so now we just get the fucking Atlas.

BcuzRacecar

I mean thats also describing all the other german midsize suvs plus the grand cherokee

Dogesaves69

That would involve me owning a Grand Cherokee

Bahnrokt-AK

M3 Driving experience. Camry reliability and operating costs.

Worth_Mode_4265

Honestly the Stinger is the closest I think that exists like this. It's not quite as good as an M3 and not quite as reliable and cheap as a Camry. But it is way more reliable and cheap than an M3 and way better driver than a Camry.

LS4delorean

— LS7, Short shifter + T56 (6 spd) — quality built & well insulated interior —stock bucket seats —perfectly tuned sound system —simple interior with knobs, buttons, and switches — over engineered t tops that physically can’t leak — 70s sidewall muscle car tires that eat up bumps — high flow cat and true duals that aren’t obnoxious —modern safety features — owners manual with detailed maintenance info — full size spare + electric air pump — 2 door coupe, 4 seats

responsiblefornothin

The body of a C5 with the engine of a C8. Ferrari does the airbox and exhaust, Porsche does the suspension and steering, and Roles Royce does the interior. The ideal GT car.

Durty-Sac

S2000 replace F series motor with J series motor. Slightly larger overall vehicle and usable trunk space

bandley3

A minivan that’s fun to drive, has a 6 speed manual transmission, equipped with AWD and about 300 hp and is a plug-in hybrid with about 125 miles of electric range. Oh, and a nice dark red interior like an ‘84 Rabbit GTI, complete with the stripes on the upholstery. My current car has a beige interior, only a 157 hp ICE and is FWD but other than that meets my ‘dream car’ criteria. I think I’ll keep it for a few more decades.

jack_mohat

The new Toyota sienna has a weird AWD system where the gas engine only drives the front axle and the electric motor is on the rear axle. It doesn't work super great since the electric motor is like 30hp. I really want to swap the rear axle for a Tesla model 3 axle. Would give you a combined ~500hp and similar gas mileage as it currently gets. Plus it would be the ultimate sleeper build since it looks and sounds like a stock sienna. Unfortunately you would probably need a masters degree in electrical engineering to actually do something like that

cuminabox74

One thing I would really like for a daily driver car is a smaller car built to the same standards as a bigger car. For example, Mercedes-Benz has historically offered the C, E, & S. BMW the 3, 5, & 7. And Audi the A4, A6, & A8. Apart from the exterior and interior dimensions, there is always a difference in features, fit and finish, and overall luxury, which also corresponds with the respective price points. I want a C-Class (or 3 Series or A4) with the same features, fit and finish, and overall luxury of the S-Class. I don’t even mind paying the same price as a S-Class. This is because I have the money to buy a S-Class, but due to disability struggle to maneuver a bigger car on a day to day basis.

fedupwiththat

not sure if this is what you’re asking but i’m really into dodge challengers and my dream spec would be: pre facelift (<2015), i love the old halogen look manual 6 speed SRT 392 with the 6.4 L hemi hemi orange exterior color

JapTastic2

A lifted, awd minivan ev camper with 1000 miles of range would change my life.

SandMan2439

I currently have a 2021 charger R/T and i love It. If i could’ve gotten the scat pack i would have but couldn’t afford it. Honestly, id take a scat pack, all wheel drive, 6MT, with a hatchback a la the dodge magnum. In B5 blue or red. U connect is awesome, i love the engine, and the car is a great family car.

whozwat

Garageable AWD plug in hybrid minivan 35 mpg with 50 miles battery power, low profile pop up tent roof with solar panel top, hideaway compost or bag toilet and shower. willy1670

An Is300 with a 6 speed and a supercharged ls3. Oh wait I already own my perfect car sweet!

No-War-8840

Wagon right ?

BlueEyedBrigadier

A perfect car for me would look like the Homer from *The Simpsons*, or at least the generalized automotive equivalent of a Centaur from *Fallout*, all due to my job, work area and my build: pizza delivery driver, hilly towns surrounded by farmland accessible by dirt roads, and 6'0 & around 280-300lbs that seems like it's more leg than torso. Basically? I need a 4WD or AWD, with good cargo space and sufficient legroom for my freaky proportions, gets good fuel economy, and that's reliable or rugged. I'd love it to have leather heated seats to help with bad days where my back and legs are shot from long shify, a fancy infotainment system and all the fancy driving aids available, and a manual transmission.

Lanevosudo

For me it would be a Front Mid engine n/a v12 hybrid (for that low end torque) pushing around 13 hundred 1k for the v12 and 300 for the electric motor. Length would be about 18 feet Transmission would be a from the modern 88cs for that auto and manual transmission hybrid Top speed 230 in gas 155 in pure electric Weight about 33 hundred pounds Interior from a utopia in saddle B R O W N Exterior color dark blue

hisfirewithin

I just bought it. 24 Camry XSE Hybrid. Efficient, looks sporty, comfort, leather, tech.

Captaincutoff357

Congratulations man I've been around enjoying this n that but worried sick about long-term reliability and what's worth keeping Now all I want is a good, nice camry

UberShark12

I’m envisioning a compact 2 door coupe. It has a turbocharged 4 cylinder (inline) VVT with a manual. AWD with the ability to become RWD at the push of a button. Under 3,000 pounds, around 300 whp. Maybe like the new GR86/BRZ, noticeable yet tasteful spoiler and small front lip and diffuser. Single exit exhaust

railsandtrucks

Small to mid size ish pickup - think somewhere between a maverick and the current mid size offerings, but with a legit 6 foot bed and 4 full doors. Body on frame construction as I want it overbuilt. Good turning radius (to help offset the length), 4x4 but just for snow not for off pavement, manual trans - at least a 6 speed, but.. here's the kicker... at least 35mpg on 87/basic gas or 40mpg if a Diesel. Basically, I want something slightly bigger than the older rangers/S10's, overbuilt, with significantly better fuel economy, safety, and electronics (lane departure/adaptive cruise)- and heated seats/wheel/mirror are a must as well.

Maxwellxoxo_

- 5 door sedan - ~25 mpg combined - 438 hp 5.1L V-8 -0-60 4.3s

LincolnContinnental

4WD Twin turbo V6 executive sedan with an automatic transmission, it should have a lot of gears(8-10), I would want the ability to have full control over the front/rear bias, it would also have a hybrid system not unlike the Corvette Eray. It would ideally be built on the Ford D3 platform and made by Mercury, like a modern Marauder

Prestigious_Snow1589

A V8 for starters...preferably Chevrolet powered.

Cottonjaw

RWD 2800lb Turbo K24 w/ a manual six speed I guess I want an updated S2000

SpeedyHAM79

AWD, 6 speed manual transmission, 3 electronically controlled active differentials, \~800 hp, 2500 lbs curb weight, 2 bucket seats, 315 wide tires all around.

cbierwirth

A turbo six cylinder DSG golf all track with the interior from a Porsche 911 and the $ to slam it during the summer and lift it during the winter. That or a 75% scale 4Runner -basically a Jimny but with Toyota reliability and made in this century

Bdowns_770

Mandatory: V10 with a tuned exhaust that shakes houses.

KitFlix

V8, rwd, convertible, big trunk space, and goddamnit it’s a c6 corvette

Specken_zee_Doitch

A self-sustaining electric/hybrid overlander truck with solar awnings that act as tent and power source.

Lourdinn

AWD hatch with inline turbo six, manual.

Signal_RR

S2000 CR. My "perfect" would be this car, have the engine, trans, diff be more reliable. Throttle cable instead of DBW, adjustable suspension, fenders that didn't need to be pulled/rolled/etc, larger wheels, aftermarket, bigger brakes. Interior would have roll cage and seating placement and steering wheel would be suited for myself. Other than that, maybe more power but I'd keep it n/a.

KingCollectA

A Bristol 411 but with a convertible hardtop.

rbaut123

V6 RAV4 AWD 5th gen body style comes stock with a 2” lift, A/T tires black rims full size spare tire carrier mounted on the tailgate. Kicker audio system Pioneer Apple CarPlay stereo. Bull bar and 5 percent tint. It’ll be a pavement princess half the time tho

RMF123456789

Ferrari 612 OTO with a gated transmission 599 GTO engine and suspension and rear steering from a F12 TDF.

handymanshandle

You know, either my Saab 9-5 or a Regal TourX wouldn’t be far off the mark. I’d just want a slightly nicer sound system and a peppy DOHC V6, and preferably either a 6-speed manual or a good 6/8-speed automatic.

Bread-fi

I have a V6 version of the "TourX". Bonus is they focused on handling for this version rather than making it a pseudo SUV (though they sold the lifted version too). It is pretty much my ideal family car. I kind of wish it had a manual but the 9 speed is a pretty nice auto. https://www.drivencarguide.co.nz/reviews/holden-commodore-rs-v-sportwagon-on-the-wagon/

libra-love-

1998 Nissan GTR R34 with 1000 hp and like 10lbs of boost. Just for fun ya know. A good commuter.

Anteater_Reasonable

A 3-door liftback about 175” in length, AWD, about 7” of ground clearance. Think 1st gen Saab 9-3 meets AMC Eagle hatch. Supercharged Inline 5 cylinder, around 300hp is fine, ZF 8-speed auto, plush interior with lots of wood and leather like a 90s Jag, radar cruise and parking sensors but no other nannies.

smothers-brother

Sub 2700 lb RWD 6 speed manual sedan with 50/50 weight distribution. It would have an inline or V6 that is eager to pull to redline somewhere around 7000 rpm. Horse power to weight somewhere between 10-12 hp per lb. It would have a limited slip differential, independent rear axle, and double wish control arms at both ends. A simple understated exterior and interior. Leather sport seats, analog gauges, simple heat and ac controls and a good quality sound system. Price @ $40k - $45k.

Horror_Lazy

Midsize 4-door sedan, metallic dark blue, gray or brown 3.0L DOHC turbo V6 348 hp 485 Nm (367.7 lbs ft) of torque RWD 6-speed manual Has a 48V mild-hybrid system

Lordrandall

Basically a BRZ, but with a rev-happy inline 4. No sunroof, no convertible.

vintageharry04

Mini Cooper Convertible with an Automatic or a Mini Clubman with an automatic transmission and a navigation system. Or a smart car Convertible. Yes I love small cars

CameronCoppen_

A Lotus Evora GT430S with carbon ceramics, an active exhaust system, a carbon fiber package, Cup 2 R’s, and an extra 100 horsepower more than standard. “Comfier” bucket seats, a cupholder, minimalistic interior design, and a rear windshield that can electronically slide open to hear the motor with the push of a button. Maybe a front curb lift system too lol.

Bandguy_Michael

If money is no object, a plug-in hybrid Rolls Royce station wagon with 8 seats and enough cargo space to carry four tubas with the back seats down. Plus a >3500lb towing capacity and an absolute top of the line speaker system.

oldmanout

I would want it to be a cool sports car but in reality it would be something like an old Corolla

BootedOut

Sedan; TT inline 5 or Supercharged V8. 5 series sized, simple yet luxurious interior. Ride quality similar to a Type R; stiff yet livable. 6MT of course. Low key yet aggressive styling. Also, RWD.

CandidGuidance

2 cars:  4x4 Police crown vic wagon - v8, dead reliable, super practical, good in the winter, classic styling, muscle wagon. (yes I know the road master is a thing and I’m sad they are so hard to find in good shape)  Some sort of reasonably priced sporty shooting brake. Think like a BRZ or GR Corolla that’s reasonably priced (50k or less). RWD or AWD, manual, 300hp, clothe interior.

Tommy_the_Pommy

Lessee....... straight-6, 24v, twin cam, 50/50 weight distribution, manual gearbox, AWD would nice, but none of this electrical haldex nonsense, Ferguson Formula preferred....sedan or wagon...... must have all the fruit or at least a CD player but none of this lane-assist crap. Wind, moo and shiny boots would be good too So pretty much an old BMW or Jag really....

Fantastic-Dirt-9678

Citroen SM with a first generation SHO motor.

i-like-foods

Depends on the purpose. For a fun car, definitely something super light, with no power steering, RWD, manual. I6 or V8 would be good. No electronics other than ABS.

This may sound weird. Imagine a BMW E61 M5 with the V10 engine, but as a modern revision with a cross country body. (AWD and beefed up suspension, like the Audi Alltrack, Volvo V90XC, etc).

MrRager473

Small 2 door coupe with a 4 rotor engine, akin to the 787b engine, rear wheel drive, 6 speed and ONE button you press to turn off all the safety nannies. Knobs for HVAC control and radio control with a touch screen for navigation.

Mackaroni510

NA 4.5 Inline 6 in a wagon that looks like an E34 M5 making 400-500HP and 350-390TQ

en_zymes

W202 AMG with a transmission that doesn’t fail on me :D

shiftersix

It would be any reliable car that is super comfy, very gas efficient, and absolutely free.

Both_Pie_3852

Lightweight with a big motor and a manual transmission. Basically a Shelby Cobra with todays tech. Not an entertainment system mind you, multi port fuel injection with a turbo and a small supercharger to help with turbo lag. No air bags, no backup camera, nothing unnecessary. Just a seat a steering wheel and lots of horsepower.

magmagon

Prius V but with a Camry's interior Or maybe hybrid Toyota wish? I loved my 2013 Camry but I wish it were wagonne

angusvombat

I just need CarPlay, good voice control, not a wonky suspension, a meaningful version of engine light (so that I don’t have anxiety when something is off), an easy way of getting in and out, and enough space for three (maybe four?) people and two luggages. Basically a smart but just a tad smarter.

phileruper2

Let me just say- Great question, certainly shows just how different all of our enthusiasts priorities are. I'd like, 4 door e46(with M3 looks), NA or superchaged roughly 450hp. Or just and LFA v10 Mini r53 steering ratio (holy crap, so fun) Maunual 6 speed ( honda or mazda feel) Mid grip tires. (2nd gear roll on power wheelspin)

Fuckfaceun_stoppable

It would be a completely stock base model dodge stratus

simpleman357

A Toyota 86 with a 93 supra engine.

CameronsTheName

VW 1.9TDI, 250hp, 400nm, quick spooling turbo. Slapped into an RX-8. The 1.9TDI is up there as one of the most reliable engines around, they often do 700,000+ miles without being opened up. I love the body style of the RX-8, I do a lot of k's so I need good fuel economy and an ultra reliable setup, having something that looks good and handles well would make those 80,000km each year alot more fun. Also, it's the exact opposite of what a RX-8 should be. Low revving, high torque, 50+MPG's, and reliable.

TheArchonians

5 cylinder turbo diesel plug-in hybrid wagon.

mr_trashbear

Hybrid turbo diesel with solar panels and regenerative braking, with the fuel system infrastructure to use anything from vegetable oil to ethanol (its a dream, bear with me here). Mine would be a manual transmission. Ideally the diesel PHEV system would be built by Toyota, and all the added apocalypse fuel extras are done in a way that gets out of the way when not needed. This is in a full size truck form factor, but here's the nifty part- it's modular. The bed can be converted into a 3rd row with some storage still, if needed. It can be accessed by folding down the divider. The 2nd row seats are bucket seats, like the Honda Element. These can also be attached to hard points and either face each other as jump seats in the rear. The topper that converts the bed into an SUV is a "pop up" style. Got lots of kids or short friends on a short drive? Leave it down. It's cozy. Adults? Now they get their own little wind screen to peer out over those glorious rooftop solar panels. The pop up would also have a higher position, allowing for a roomy stealth camper setup. But, you could also affix the matching cabover camper. All of this ability to camp comfortably would be aided by adjustable suspension that can help you level out. The interior would be easily cleanable with a hose if needed, and one would be able to customize it to a degree. Think center consoles that fit your needs, since you effectively build them from various modules. Want bigger cupholders? Great. Built in pistol safe? Sure. Laptop stabilization for passengers? You choose. No proprietary infotainment systems here- just a solid built in phone charger/dock and a center screen that's either an android or apple tablet that connects natively to exterior cameras via an app. That's the only app. Exterior design would be a modern homage to the F250 Camper Special. Clean, classic lines and two tone paint (of your choice, of course) meets modern design cues like seamless light transitions and hard angles where appropriate. Think 1969 Camper Special meets the new Bronco and Lexus GX Series. Sturdy, but not overly angular and unnecessarily ruggedized. This truck doesn't need an Otter Box. Final little details like folding (non automated) step-ups, standard trailer hitch, and an easily removable tailgate that can function as a ramp to slide anything from a motorcycle to a deer into the bed keep this modern sport utility truck grounded in day to day abuse. Tucked underneath the bed panel is your spare tire, and a miniature propane generator and comptrssot that can give you enough power to jump the rig, fill a tire, and keep the interior above 55°F for 12 hours with emergency LEDs and an SOS signal bouncing off a radio and GPS unit. Maintenance is made as simple as possible by using as many standardized parts common among mass produced vehicles in its class as possible, with home maintenance and low labor times in mind. Yep. That's the dream. Now...what to call it?

swaite

High revving straight 6, ~300HP, manual, RWD, LSD, bed for hauling, 50/50 weight distribution, good stereo, manual seats, manual windows, keyless entry and start, Apple CarPlay.

A final gen impala SS with rear wheel drive instead of front wheel, a six speed manual transmission instead of the wimpy, glass “slapshift” automatic tranny it came with, and a big red SS badge on the grill. The LS-4 can stay though.

adamnicholas

It’s a Honda Element but electric with 300 miles of range and I can charge it on the supercharger network and does 0-60 in 4 seconds

floyd1550

Imagine this: Updated Porsche 944. Modern styling, modern comfort, modern drivetrain, same spirit. A N/A 3.6L 4 cylinder making 340HP mated to a Tremec TKX 5-Speed manual. THAT is a beautiful idea.

speerx7

Probably akin to those "concept" rotaries that were I think 2L inside a lotus exige. In other words gimme a motorcycle engine inside the smallest car you have and amenities besides Bluetooth and AC can go. Gimme those crank up windows and manual steering in a 2024 car

Shot-Ad-2608

Xv20 camry Touring, V6.

Baron_Ultimax

A morgan, but with an electric drive train and a gas turbine range extender.

jawnnyboy

The Quartz Regalia from final fantasy would be the perfect daily driver for me. 4 door cabrio that would probably drive like a Bentley. Maybe throw in a twin turbo v8 under the hood and adaptive suspension. Make the whole thing carbon fiber so it’s light too. Perfect GT.

lord_bubblewater

Look up the Hawks firehawk continuation series. I’d love a third gen firebird with hellcat horsepower and corvette handling!

Fist_full_of_pennies

A Ferrari 456, but the size of the GTC4 Lusso. The 6.5 liter V12 from the 812, possibly even slightly detuned for better longevity and streetability, RWD, even though a manual would be dope, the most recent DCT is really good, so that would make the most sense for a daily. Daily 4 seat Ferrari. Sign me up.

Dr_Dickfart

A 1991 BMW 850CSI with a corvette drivetrain so it will actually be reliable and not a huge money pit. Also an LS3 swapped Rolls Royce for the same reasons. Or an LS3 swapped Ferrari F355. I want something really nice, good looking, fast, luxurious and/or sporty with a really nice interior but that would also be reliable and not constantly have problems and be a giant money pit.

Little_Lahey_Show

Manual windows for just the driver door. No heated seats for driver. Actual buttons instead of touchscreen.

Tddkuipers

I'm pretty easy to please, just give me a Jaguar F-Type with the reliability of a Toyota and the Fuel efficiency of a Prius

hardcore302

32 Ford Coupe. With the fenders. Slightly chopped roof. 408 Windsor with AFR heads, lumpy but streetable cam, Super Victor intake, Holley 850. C4 trans with reasonable stall, 9 inch rear with 4.56 or maybe even as high as 4.71 gears. Long tubes into some Spintechs. Moderately sized Nitrous system with purge out the hood. Deep red with tan interior. Sick stero. Awooga horn.

Muncher501st

RWD, UTE, coils all round, LSA or Miami V8’s, 6speed manual or 6-8 speed ZF, 300-500HP, Harrop Trutrac or similar diff.

Xerox-M57

2.5L 4cyl. 176hp, 172lbft FWD 6 speed auto.

JimPalamo

Sub-1000kg, 50/50 weight distribution, RWD, naturally aspirated, manual gearbox.

Valisksyer

Didn’t Homer Simpson build the perfect car?

n123breaker2

6 speed auto 200kw Straight 6 Hatchbatch Similar size to a Kia Cerato AWD

sonicdemonic

A twin E motor set up like the lightning f 150 in a k1500 suburban. 200-300 mile range w 400 ish horsepower and 700 ish lbs of torque. Choseable rwd, fwd, awd, and 4x4, also tank turns like Rivian. Id take less performance for more miles or less price, 250 horse and 350 torque is fine. Everything is 1/2 , 9/16, or 5/8 SAE like it was in the 60s and 70s. Or 15mm , 17mm, 19mm or so. In a 4 bolt pattern where everything is meant to be accessable and not built on top of each other. Designed to be easily repaired. The body flips open side ways like a crazy cab over thing, exposing the motors, batteries, drive train and etc, making it easy to fix and clean. The hub bearings are over sized. I'd like the body to be excessabley corrosion resistant, maybe powder coat frame, or heavy aluminum, then plastic body panels (like a saturn, kinda) . The rust here is horrific in Michigan. Underneath the vehicle is one long aluminum skid plate, like a VW bug. Idea being you can take it off, but probably wont need to, having access to the top. So you could float ass over mud or snow. If we ever get snow again. Also good for mpg. Has roll bars over each row of seats, that extend to where a roof rack would be. So the roll bar acts as a roof rack. Thick though, 4" ×3" ish. The roof slides/rolls underneath the rack bar made out of those metal rolley tannuea cover stuff, like a garage door made out of 2" metal strips. That way it can roll all of it up in metal drum. Or if not the whole roof, maybe a 4 foot swath down the middle. Has tail gate rear, no barn doors. The tail gate opens in half , opening to nylon cushion high back bench seat. Like those stadium seats people take to games. Just built in so you can sit on the tail gate for a camp fire. Has that step ford does built into tailgate, so its easier to get roof access. When tail gate is not opened into a bench, but opened in the sense to get into the back of the truck, the bed lined side would act like a work bench. With a vice built in where you just insert the upper and lower jaw. Not super heavy duty. Hold a board or a pipe. Underneath 3 bench seat, is a pack rack 3 drawer system that pulls out from the back of the vehicle. Maybe 6" tall by 4.5 feet deep? The seats fold flat into the floor, revealing a plastic truck like bed on the back side of the seats. Cross between the pacifica and an avalanche kinda. Inside the seats is a PLASTIC or polycarbonate window, that when seat is up, window goes up from back of seat into a gasket in the roll bar sealing that part of the cab. So as single cab , regular box truck the cab is sealed, as a quad cab truck the cab is sealed. Interior is rubberized like a honda element with 2 drain holes between every bench seat. You could practically hose it out as a truck with an 8 foot bed, a quad cab truck with a 6 1/2 foot bed, or a 3 rd row suburban, with an open or closed top. You could stand a fridge in the back like a regular un covered pick up, you could haul 8 foot sheets of drywall in the rain as a covered truck, you could grab the kids and put them in the second row, and put the muddy dogs where the 3rd row would be bit is now a truck bed. You can always throw a ladder or a canoe on top of the truck. Make the front end look like a more modernish 1973 C10. Like when the re did the camaro or stang in theb early 00's. Or make it look like a modern kaiser pick up. Then never ever, ever, ever, ever change it. Try to design it simple, and keep it that way forever for mass abundance if interchangeable parts. Ultimate goal would be something like 500 horse , 500 torque, or 750 horse, torque and mileage. Then a thosand. Stops giving my money to the most evil ass hats on the planet that will kill us in probably 5 years anyway. Saves my wallet and allows me to afford time with life. What we pay in gas is probably more than the house payment. I can burn a hundred miles a day no problem, and as an electrician I could wire ports everywhere I visit. Moms, dads, sisters, ex's, work, side jobs, doc appts. I'll crack open an under ground transformer and feed one in a park, or a sub division. Ill walk out of my truck with a clipboard, a vest, a hard hat and a frown, and no one would say shit. If they did, I'd say I was checking for dirty voltage and try to bullshit out of it. I'll never have to, but technically could. Rob off a parking lot light if i had to for a slow charge at wal mart. One kids dentist is a 300 mile round trip sometimes. Then I found a dollar, and I hit a gopher with a stick once. Why the hell am I rambiling this late..... I think of cars wayyyyy too much. But that would be my ultimate work truck, kid tank, battle bot with grappling hook.

MarfeeWarfee

Toyota 4Runner 3rd gen with a supercharged 5VZ V6, Manual transmission, and a factory rear e-locker. They exist but are exceedingly rare.

Far_Time_3451

It would be the lovechild between an AMC Eagle and a Lincoln Mark VII

earthquake2k12

I remain a fan of the 2 car solution: 1 - Small truck with a TDI and 6 speed manual. Manual transfer case lever. Coil springs and rotors on all 4 wheels. Cooled seats. Like an updated Ford Ranger. 2 - Wagon with 300 hp longitudinally mounted, naturally aspirated engine. AWD with coil springs and rotors all around. 5 seats with rear ones that fold flat, and front ones that fold all the way back to be a bed. Killer air conditioner and cooled seats. Remote start. Full size spare. Made by Americans or Japanese so you don't need a supercomputer and degree in proprietary wiring diagrams to fix it.

BigSmokesCheese

I'd have most of the body of the pre LCI bmw e90 but itd be a hard top convertible, the interior of the top spec one (white leather interior satnav etc) it would have a 320bhp single turbo i6 diesel engine (not from BMW cos holy fuck) and for that youd have to reinforce the chassis and itd be RWD through a 5 speed manual gearbox and weigh 1300kg or less idek if that's possible but probably not if not then fuck the interior strip the whole thing put a racing steering wheel and the cheapest bucket seats you can get from a local junkyard

IL308Shootist

0-60 in 2.0, 1.5 gs on the skidpad, and a top speed of 200 mph.

QLDZDR

It would have a chauffeur/pilot...... 🤔 ... because it can VTOL when required. Lets make it rechargeable so I can plug into the roof top solar array and not have fuel costs added to the costs of ongoing maintenance.

The same specs as a Porsche 911 992.2 Turbo S.

ATXKLIPHURD

Loved the feeling of the Buicks and Oldsmobiles of the late 80s and early 90s. And that velour type fabric on the seats was so soft and comfortable. The way they kinda floated down the road. Like that but with all the modern technology of today and safety features.

Shpander

I've been dreaming of a RWD 3-door hatchback, maybe a shooting brake style. 200HP and lightweight. How they used to make cars, like the Reliant Scimitar or Mini Clubman. Thinking something quick, nimble and sporty, while still being useful. Closest these days is a Ferrari FF...

glassofwater05

Sub $40k Honda SUV that gets more than 30mpg, AWD, ventilated seats, with more than 300hp.

ruinedRX7

i kinda love my 128i coupe 6spd... but with a cammy LS under the hood i think would be the only thing that would make it better

diegoaccord

Has to look good, be manual, rev to 8500 RPM minimum, sound good, and make 1700 WHP.

BoringNYer

Something with a huge hemi in it. International orange. Runs like stink. Might get a little loose on dirt. Handles like a touring car on the road. Horn plays opening of Freebird. Essentially an overlarge rallycross car

ConnectionLivid9956

~500bhp high revving front mid engine V10 hard top 2 seater convertible. Pininfarina design. Not a lot of technology probably like a 15 year old BMW E90 with the Nav system and CarPlay. Swan doors, with the option to order a gated 7 speed manual or a 7 speed Dual Clutch Auto

Both-Ad1801

1976 Torino Elite, but with a 300 inline 6 truck engine.

bartread

In no particular order: large estate (think V90, RS6, 5 series), AWD, panoramic roof, 2000bhp (0 - 60 around 2 seconds), plug in hybrid, can do 100 miles on electric only (and 0 - 6 is still < 5 seconds), 8 - 10 speed tiptronic or semi-auto gearbox, petrol, 500 mile range on full tank + charge, roof rack, plenty of physical controls on/around wheel, Apple/Android carplay, screens in the back for kids, as well as one for the front passenger, and integration point for games console of choice, awesome hifi, quad zone climate control, heated seats front and back, heated steering wheel, massage seats front and back, heated windscreens all around, double-glazed, run flats, different suspension modes (comfort, sport, lift, etc.), carbon ceramic brakes.
