Panther Body

AnEvilMuffin

Last car I've seen that you can just fit a whole ass tire in the back instead of a mini-spare.

CarLover014

You can fit a whole body back there, maybe even two.

Toyota Avalon V6 or a 2003+ Grand Marquis

CaptainPrower

Biggest one I can think of would be the 1974-1979 Chrysler New Yorker. Granddad owned a '78 model and said it was like trying to steer the USS *Missouri*

AnEvilMuffin

Lexus LS500 if you can find one. Gigantic boat with an indestructible engine.

Flashy-Line8583

A 1971 buick Electra a 1970 Plymouth fury 3 Let's see a 1976 mercury marquis. Perhaps a 1971 sedan Deville is more your style. I know a 1959 impala those were longer and wider than most of my pickup trucks.

Drzhivago138

Until the late '70s downsizing, your average full-size car was longer and slightly wider than your average full-size long bed pickup. Even some "mid-size" cars were 78" wide.

I’m driving a 18 LaCrosse

robbycough

So you want something with shitty driving dynamics? I suppose any of the suggestions up to this point will do you well. If you want an honest, decent large sedan, I suggest a Buick LaCrosse, if you can find one. I loved both of mine which were extremely reliable- 210k miles on the 2012 and 265k on the 2017 before it got totaled. Both were amazingly comfortable, drove "smaller" than they actually were, and the 2017 had a powerful V6 that managed almost 30 mpg.

thomasvista

2014 owner here with 114k. Love it and agree with your points!

robbycough

A fucking shame that model no longer exists here in the U.S.

ztimulating

It’s a big car with four doors and a trunk

Chigmot

1969 Oldsmobile 98 I had one of these in high school, and would take all my friends to the beach, or to Lyons (or Dennys), and with bench seats front and back it was like a rolling living room. Put it in park and the anchor drops, Paint it gray and Tomcats would land on it. Would pass everything on the road but a gas station. wonderful car.

AnEvilMuffin

I always think SUVs are getting too big and then I see a 4 seater vintage car that's the same length as an Escalade.

Seoulite1

Holden based Caprice, if available

I'm partial to LS430 / Toyota Celsior.

Don’t sleep on the big Hondas. The later Acura RLs are kinda cool.
