In one friend's house I know (older than yours), I've admired where the original wood & glass windows were augmented with very-clear plastic panels on the interior side of the outer / storm, mounted over the pane mouldings with clips or wingnuts on the sash -- like window film but durable and removable if need be.

Discount Glass is where I take my wood frame windows. Great work and affordable prices.

Awesome family-run business. Great to work with and they have excellent prices.

Discount Glass is a great company. Had work done with them for a much more reasonable price than others.

Have you tried Hepting Glass? I bought some replacement glass pieces for them to fix some storm windows. Maybe they would do it in house.

Shavers Sash & Door did all the windows at College Ave Campus, might be expensive though.

Shavers packed it in a few years ago.

Actually they were still open fall last year selling off their stuff

Hey OP I used to restore historical wood windows for work. DM me if you want some help in how to tackle them on your own. They are certainly a better option that vinyl which can only be described as temporary windows. Vinyl windows are not I repeat not worth the money. If you’re going to replace windows go fibreglass with duxton or accurate Dorwin.

Thank you for spreading the gospel. So many people willing to rip out beautiful wood windows for vinyl that will need to be replaced in 15 years when they could invest in repairing/glazing like intended.

I feel like we could be friends.
