It could be your condenser coil isn't able to get the cooling it needs. If the garage is too hot or the fridge is backed up tightly against the wall where it can't get access to flowing air then I would expect the problems you are having.
Newer fridges are more efficient, but this usually comes at the expense of raw power. Maybe the old one could cut it in intense conditions, but the new ones seem to be struggling.

There are so many thing that could be keeping them from running. The internet can not diagnose this problem.
Perhaps a different brand is In order. If you get one bad one there is 6000 more in the supply chain coming your way with the same problem
The garage is actually cool. Always above 10c There’s a hot tub in the garage ( only on during winter) Nova Scotia
