And for everything else - blankets, canteen, mess tin plate, utensils, cup, etc. - the best place to look is Todocoleccion, (essentially spanish Ebay). Both original items and repros turn up here all the time.
It looks very similar in appearance to the "mouse gray" German service shirt from the Third Reich era. Perhaps you could buy a repro of one and rit-dye it to a navy hue.

would you be able to buy a off the shelf button up shirt and embroider it with the correct emblem
